Go Moderate or Value - Boardwalk is not worth the money

To rate this hotel as anything above a moderate - or even a value hotel - is wishful thinking. The walls are paper thin, and in the connecting rooms, you might as well just be sitting right next to your neighbors. The heating in my villa room didn't work, and I was put into a lesser value room on the inn side, with a tiny mini fridge placed on the floor. The guests are noisy in the hallways and in front of the windows - there is no peace here. To get to any shops or quick service, you have to leave the hotel and walk. Save yourself hundreds of dollars and stay at Port Orleans French Quarter, or even Pop Century, where the resort store and quick service are both miles better. I'm relatively disappointed in Disney's supposed Deluxe resorts - I've stayed in Wilderness Lodge and Yacht Club, as well, and was equally disappointed. Only the Riviera stood out for quality of finishes and experience. The location may be great, but the amenities and quality of the rooms is no where near luxury. At least at Wilderness Lodge they upgraded me when the heat didn't work in that room.
Great location

The location of this hotel cannot be beat. It is walking distance to both Hollywood Studios and Epcot or you can take a boat to either. You can also take the tram from Magic Kingdom to Epcot, then walk or boat back to the hotel. This versatility makes staying here unmatched in my opinion. Since the Boardwalk is directly outside the hotel, there are many dining options. The best for breakfast is the deli. Check-in/check-out was busy but there are many staff members walking around waiting to help. The rooms are large but a bit dated. They could really use a refresh. There is plenty of closet space, a large tv, and a nice little balcony. The bed is comfortable but the pillows are not. It’s nice having a Keurig coffeemaker in the room but the Disney coffee pods are awful. The bathroom has a double vanity and the hot water appears quickly. The bathroom too could use a refresh. The towels are scratchy, as was the toilet paper. The toiletries smelled amazing. We have stayed at many Disney properties and this is always my favorite.
