WestJet has recently suspended its Covid-19 Vaccination Policy to align with the federal government's suspension of vaccine requirements for federally regulated employees. This relaxation of vaccination requirements is a suspension, but not a dissolution. Should the federal government reinstate a vaccine requirement based on the latest public health advice and science the WestJet Group will also reinstate a vaccine requirement.
We are working with our key school partnerships to continue our commitment to pipelining future talent for the health and growth of the aviation industry in Canada.
We continue to offer a virtual hiring experience as our primary means of connecting and engaging with our candidates through leveraging video technology throughout the hiring process. However, we have also started to re-introduce in-person interviews for certain roles.
Westjet has implemented a new “Remote Work” program where some employees, based on the nature of their role and at the discretion of the company, may have the option to work from home. Our campus has re-opened to support those roles that are required to work from the office, or for those individuals who prefer a hybrid work model and like to come into the office a few days a week but also enjoy the flexibility of working from home.
Thank you for your interest in partnering with WestJet for your upcoming event! We are honored that WestJet is your organization of choice and appreciate your consideration.
We do, however, receive several of these requests throughout the year and although WestJet wishes we could be in many places at once, we must ensure those we chose to partner with are in line with our organization’s values, goals, and initiatives.
To better understand the type of event you are hosting, please take a minute to click here, and complete our intake form, for school partnerships & recruiting events.
We will review your submission and get back to you as soon as possible with an update. Should WestJet accept your application, a member of the Talent Acquisition team will reach out.
Be Aware of Fraudulent Job Postings/Offers
WestJet makes every effort to check the legitimacy of our job opportunities that are represented externally and not directly posted on our WestJet.com careers page. WestJet will never request money from job seekers, nor request personal information beyond what is required for a resume (i.e. Social insurance number, banking information).
All individuals who are successful in gaining an offer of employment from WestJet, whether directly or indirectly, are always required to go through a formal recruitment process including an interview with a member of WestJet’s talent team.
If you suspect any fraudulent activity as it relates to employment at WestJet, please contact email@example.com.
Tip: One quick way to know your potential offer is a scam is to check the email address. Legitimate emails from WestJet employees end in @westjet.com. Some recent scams have come from similar email addresses.
