An unfortunate situation

Nancy B (Summerfield, Florida) on May 20, 2026

Family who traveled with us were given an inferior room which was in the Birdie Building, very musty, smelly and had MOLD. I was embarrassed as an owner for many years. The room they moved them to took an entire day and then had air conditioning problems which took another entire day from their vacation. Very disappointed.

Relax atmosphere

tquinn54 (Hampton, New Hampshire) on May 18, 2026

We stayed at the Divi Golf and Beach resort. The atmosphere was amazing. We found it to be a beautiful low rise resort with a chill atmosphere. The room was a single bedroom pool side. We loved the walkout slider to pool. We found our stay to be a excellent value for our money and can't wait to return.

WORST All-Inclusive Ever!

tanishawhite2026 (Boston, Massachusetts) on May 14, 2026

MUST READ!!!! My stay at Divi Golf and Beach Resort from 4/23/26–4/29/26 as an all-inclusive guest costing over $2,600 was unfortunately one of the most disappointing resort experiences I’ve had in decades of travel. I traveled to Aruba to celebrate my birthday with four other guests, and what should have been a relaxing and memorable celebration quickly turned into a frustrating experience that left me constantly apologizing to my friends for bringing them to this resort. Upon check-in, I was initially placed in a lovely large room, but the moment I entered it was obvious something was seriously wrong. The room had an extremely strong mildew odor, and there was visible mold growing around the air vents and down the walls. Within minutes, my eyes and nose began burning and stinging, and I started coughing uncontrollably. I immediately contacted the front desk to report the issue and requested to be moved right away. I was relocated to a much smaller room and told there were no comparable rooms available that evening, but that I should return to the front desk the following morning to check availability. When I did exactly that, I was treated with shocking disrespect by the front desk attendant, who sighed, rolled her eyes, and repeatedly carried on conversations with other staff while I tried explaining the situation. I eventually demanded to speak with a manager, who later apologized for the employee’s behavior and was able to move me into another comparable larger room. Unfortunately, that was only the beginning of a very unpleasant stay. Throughout the week, the answer to nearly everything seemed to be “NO”: • “No, we are out of gluten-free pizza and other menu items.” • “No, Jose Cuervo Gold is not included in the all-inclusive package.” • “No, we are out of Teremana tequila and don’t know when we’ll restock.” • “No, you cannot pay the difference for premium liquor — you must pay full price ($12–$14 per drink).” To make matters worse, bartenders at Mulligan’s and Sea Breeze often took it upon themselves to make drinks using bottom-shelf well liquors even after we specifically requested brands like Patron or Teremana — as if guests couldn’t tell the difference. Considering the premium prices paid for the all-inclusive package, this felt dishonest and incredibly disappointing. Every day felt like a battle just to get a decent margarita, which was only consistently possible at Bar Tapas thanks to an excellent bartender named Terrance. Dining service was equally disappointing. During dinner at Mulligan’s, our server openly told us she was exhausted, overworked, and understaffed after being on shift since 2 PM. She informed us we would have to wait to order because she was “too busy,” and visibly appeared frustrated every time we asked for anything. At one point, after I mentioned I had no flatware, she waved her hands toward a neighboring table and told me to grab utensils myself. What stood out most throughout the resort was the overall attitude of the staff. For a destination marketed as “One Happy Island,” many employees seemed visibly unhappy, annoyed, and frustrated by even the simplest guest requests — including asking for clean towels or basic service assistance. Instead of feeling welcomed or valued as guests, we often felt like we were inconveniencing staff simply by asking for help. The overall setup of combining all-inclusive guests, non-all-inclusive guests, and timeshare owners at one resort simply does not work well. At bars like Mulligan’s and Sea Breeze, it often felt like staff prioritized guests paying cash and tipping directly, while all-inclusive guests were left waiting for service. Other all-inclusive guests we met expressed the same frustration. Another major inconvenience was the constant need to sign receipts and close out tabs for every single item — even one bottle of water. Unlike virtually every other all-inclusive resort I’ve visited, there was no complimentary bottled water stocked in the rooms. When I called to request water, I was told I needed to take the shuttle to a bar to get it myself. I travel often and always read reviews carefully before booking, so I will absolutely be sharing this experience on travel platforms as well. This was genuinely one of the poorest levels of service I have encountered in many years of travel. Between the mold issue, rude staff interactions, lack of inclusions, understaffing, poor service culture, and constant inconveniences, this resort fell far below the standards I’ve come to expect from all-inclusive properties. It was incredibly disappointing to spend my birthday trip apologizing to the four guests who traveled with me because of the poor experience we encountered throughout the stay. 2/10 — I do not recommend, and I will never return to DIVI Resorts again.

Relaxing Getaway with Beautiful Beach and Honest Feedback

Steph A on May 04, 2026

We stayed at Divi Village Golf & Beach Resort for the first time in mid-April 2026 on the all-inclusive package, and it definitely won’t be our last visit. Check-in was quick and seamless, which was a great start to the trip. Our room was stunning, spacious, clean, and very comfortable. The only downside was that there was no elevator in our building, and no assistance was offered with our luggage up to the third floor, which made arrival a bit challenging. As for the all-inclusive experience, we found the front desk wasn’t very informative, and there was no welcome meeting or overview. We ended up figuring most things out on our own, which could be frustrating for first-time visitors. Dining was a highlight overall. We had breakfast each morning at Seabreeze and enjoyed lunches and dinners at Seabreeze, Mulligan’s, and Windows on Aruba throughout the week. The food across all restaurants was consistently delicious. That said, the portion sizes were very large.... so much so that finishing a full meal was nearly impossible at times. Mulligan’s was quite busy at dinner, and the service there was noticeably slow. At Seabreeze, while many servers were friendly and kind, a few seemed to be having off days, Josef in particular came across with some attitude during our visit. One small inconvenience with the all-inclusive plan was having to sign checks after each meal. While we understand the process, it would feel more seamless to simply get up and go. At times, even something simple like getting a couple of drinks could take around 20 minutes due to waiting for the check process, which was frustrating. A helpful tip for future travelers: if you add a tip on the check, it will be charged at checkout. We chose to leave cash tips instead to avoid additional charges. The beach is just a short walk across the street and absolutely beautiful, with soft white sand and crystal-clear blue water. Even though we traveled in mid-April, when it wasn’t overly busy, finding an umbrella could be a bit of a challenge, but we managed to get one each day with the help of Miguel. For first-time guests, the concierge was extremely helpful and able to answer all of our questions, which made a big difference. Overall, despite a few minor inconveniences, we had a fantastic experience. We highly recommend Divi Village Golf & Beach Resort and are already looking forward to returning.
