My top 5 tips for staying at the Hilton Aruba

firetiger (texas) on Jul 03, 2022

My top 5 tips - #1. Room numbers ! This property has an odd system for numbering rooms. If your room number is 2155 this is not on second floor. The 2 indicates which tower you are in. ( 2 for Bonaire tower & 3 for Curaco tower etc.) The second digit indicates what floor not the first. #2. Speaking of towers, there is live music EVERY night till 10PM. We stayed in the Bonaire tower on the side facing the Castaways bar. This bar is where the music is played. On some days we were ready to retire early and could not sleep due to the music. You might consider this if this is an issue. The Curaco tower would be furthest away from the music, but also has the least desirable views. #3.Palapa policy ! There has been many questions on this subject so this is this scoop. We had no problems reserving a Palapa for any day other than the current day. The reservations are only from 9AM -6AM. There was never a day in the 6 we stayed, that you could not just show up a little after 6PM & choose nearly any Palapa you liked as most were vacated by then. The nearest the water are $50 per day that includes a small bucket of ice & some fruit. The least expensive were $20 and located three or 4 rows from the front ones. You can easily reserve palapa by visiting the towel hut near the pools. There is a QR code you can scan & it will take you directly to the palapa web site. #4. Oscar’s market! Definitely visit this little market early in your stay. It came in very handy when we didn’t feel like going out for a meal & just wanted some sports drinks. & a salad or sandwich. Their prices are pretty good when compared to others near property. #5.Bugalo restaurant on the pier ! Absolutely must visit this place for an incredible view & a very good breakfast. ( they do have lunch as well & pretty sure supper). The “ American “ breakfast was a large meal & well prepared. Only downer on this meal was the wind does blow & you will be managing your napkin & possibly cap to make sure it doesn’t blow away. Good prices! BONUS TIPS !! Bath robes were not in our room but when we requested them they were promptly brought to us. Fresh fish of the day at Gilligan’s was an awesome lunch twice!! Ice machines are on floor 3&4 at Bonaire tower. We had a wonderful housekeeper that serviced the room daily. Drink water & sports drinks along with cocktails etc. You are more dehydrated than you realize due to the pleasant winds blowing constantly. Enjoy !!

Perfect Choice to Celebrate Our 35th Anniversary!!!

Pioneer36255604595 (Aruba) on Jul 03, 2022

We stayed at the Hilton Aruba Resort on our 35th anniversary trip, and we couldn’t have been more thrilled about our decision. It was our first trip to Aruba and we chose the Hilton based on the reviews and pictures of the beautiful property!! We met guests who have been to Aruba multiple times and always stay at the Hilton. We too will be repeat guests!! The resort, pools and beach are beautiful and there are plenty of activities to participate in, if desired. We never had an issue finding lounge chairs at the pool, and we rented a cabana one day to get a little break from the sun. We also rented beach palapas on a couple of our beach days. They were well worth it!! We were most impressed with the amazing Hilton staff! They were so friendly, brightened each day and made sure we were having a great experience not just at the resort, but in Aruba. They well represent Aruba and its “One Happy Island” motto. We must give a special shout-out to those individuals we considered exceptional and new friends by the end of our stay! We will look forward to seeing them again!! - Francisco and Christian were our favorites at the resort entrance and lobby area. Genuinely taking interest in our day and welcoming us coming and going with their big smiles and great personalities. Francisco took care of the transportation to and from our special anniversary dinner at Flying Fishbone. Unfortunately, we missed getting a picture with Christian, because we flew home on his day off. - We purchased the breakfast package with our stay, so we started each morning at the Laguna Restaurant, for the endless breakfast. Our absolute favorite sever during the week was Liliana. She took care of us our first morning, and we instantly connected with her and her kind, beautiful spirit. She would acknowledge and greet us each day, whether we were in her section or not. She started every day for us on a very happy note!! - We loved visiting the bird sanctuary on property and talking to Denko, one of the bird handlers. Denko was always so friendly and very knowledgeable about the beautiful exotic birds. He’d answer any questions and did such a great job getting the guests and birds to interact and pose for that perfect photo!! - Yuleima was our absolute favorite poolside and beach server!! She was always so attentive and made sure we were getting our favorite snack or cocktail. On our anniversary, she surprised us at our beach palapas with a piece of chocolate cake served on a beautifully decorated plate with “Happy Anniversary” written in chocolate syrup. She went out of her way to make our day even more memorable!! ?? - Right off the lobby area, you’ll find a shop called Oscar’s Market. I would describe it as a coffee, dessert and gelato shop combined with a small market of great snacks and beverages. We grabbed coffee there one morning, but the obsession with Oscar’s was for our nightly gelato and dessert stops… yes, every night!! Suzy and Yuly were are favorite pair to see on our nightly visits. They were so fun and sweet and truly make Oscar’s Market the fabulous spot that it is. Make sure you stop in for some delicious treats and great people… you will not be disappointed!!

Great 13th Anniversary vacation stay at Hilton at Aruba

Hyper1987 on Jun 30, 2022

My family of three were greeted by a staff named Ms. Aikelene Jones. She was very nice and helpful on our 1st ever family vacation at Aruba Hilton hotel. While our 6night/7day stay, Ms. Jones greeted us with pleasant smiles whenever we needed her help. She was able to assist us swiftly when we wanted to upgrade our hotel room for our special 13th anniversary vacation this year. We can not wait to go back and strongly recommend this hotel to any couple or family. Kim's family

Oscar's Market, best place in Aruba for coffee

775ralphd (Southampton, Pennsylvania) on Jun 26, 2022

I just love this hotel. While we didn't stay there, we started everyday at Oscar's Market, the little coffee shopin the lobby. If you buy a ceramic mug you get coffee refills at discount. The people behind the counter are so friendly and accommodating - and we often had special coffee requests for the cappuccinos and Anericanos we drink. This was also a great place to have an b evening coffee and gelato. The architecture of this building is classic mid-century modern and the open air lobby is a great place to hang before heading back out to the beach, or In the evening, when you can hear the music from the outdoor bar.. We ate at Gilligan's and spent time alot of time on the beach and in the gift shop and found the staff at the Hilton to be the friendliest. Check out the historical photos throughout the lobby showing what the hotel looked like in the 1960's.

Amazing vacation

Jcofi on Jun 25, 2022

Beautiful resort and family friendly as we are currently still here. We chose this resort for the junior suite option for our family and didn’t disappoint. A bit pricey but very comfortable, the beds and pillow were great. Bathroom is very spacious and great closet space. Great location right across the street are the best restaurant options and don’t have to walk much. On-site restaurants Sunset Grille great for dinner and breakfast buffet at Laguna is an great deal $26 includes unlimited mimosas. Beautiful beach, pool & bird sanctuary. Highly recommend and definitely coming back
