Don't go construction disaster,

Wes L (Grand Rapids, Michigan) on Jul 03, 2024

Don't come the place is a war zone. Seeing this is our 8th visit to this wonderful destination I speak with some authority. The hotel is under going a major expansion and it is a construction mess. Our room looks out on a pile of construction debris and equipment. restaurants are closed, shops are closed, some pools, constant very loud construction noise. They offer no discount because of all the mess.

Perfect for us

cgherst (Leesburg, Virginia) on Jun 30, 2024

We loved staying here--quieter than most of the hotels on the strip, even with the construction (which was very unobtrusive). Sunset Bar was lovely, reserving palapas and cabanas was easy, towel hut staff were friendly and helpful. Easy walk to good restaurants and plenty of food available on-site, even with some of the restaurants closed. Perfect beach and close to water activities. We would stay here again!

Great Location and beach front!

JaKaL02 (Newtown Square, Pennsylvania) on Jun 29, 2024

Our family stayed at the Hilton Aruba mid-June and had a wonderful time. Check in was a bit confusing due to the main entrance being under construction - Hilton had 3 entrances. Once there, the front desk is located outside, and their system was down, so was a bit uncomfortable (hot) while waiting. As we had rented cars (2), we asked about the parking because the lot was rather small and the response from one of the front desk clerks was rather unpleasant - "that's what it is." The hotel is under renovation - a new tower being built - which wasn't really bothersome. Yes, we could hear the construction during the day but to surprise not at all that bad. Rooms were comfortable and cleaned daily. We were left 3 bottles of water per day and the refrigerator helped store and keep a case of water we bought locally chilled. We only saw 1 water bottle filler near the pools, none that we saw in the hotel buildings. The towel shack did offer iced water daily with cups which was a plus. Hotel is located near the busy strip of restaurants which was great and walkable. Overall, my family had a great time at the Hiltons and would definitely consider it in the future once the renovations are complete.

Our recent stay at the Hilton Aruba Caribbean Resort and Casino.

PATRICIA B on Jun 27, 2024

This was our 2nd time at the Hilton in ARUBA. The entire staff was/is outstanding. However, our room was very disappointing, especially compared to our 1st trip. The dresser doors between our beds was absolutely terrible because all 3 drawers kept sliding open. This often resulted in hitting our legs on the drawers. There weren't as many dressers or closet space as we expected. The view wasn't really great either compared to our 1st trip. Finally our door lock broke several days into our stay. We asked to have it fixed & of course your outstanding staff immediately had it repaired . We do love Aruba but are very hesitant to stay at the Hilton again. We certainly liked our 1st room, view & all the furniture. We hope this will assist others to make their own decisions about where to stay. Sincerely Dave & Patty Bryer

Hilton Construction

RunningGatorDoc (Charleston) on Jun 27, 2024

BE AWARE. We read the reviews of the Aruba Hilton prior to leaving and found no concerning posts regarding the ongoing construction. Please know that the construction is NOT subtle. Jack hammers are active (and loud) within a couple hundred feet of the pool. Half of a pool is closed. The beachside restaurant is closed. One of the towers is closed. The room is cramped and the bathroom ceiling was peeling. All of this, and you get to pay a premium price. The manager Elton was the only bright spot. He handled the situation perfectly and provided us with a full refund. I cannot comment further on the resort as we stayed for approximately 3 hours before changing to the Ritz.
