I had a wonderful experience for my first time in Belize. When traveling solo hospitality goes along way and Alaia staff definitely made me feel like a VIP. Mr. Eric greeted me my first day and made sure to look after me like family throughout my stay. Ms. Shea at the front desk made sure to surprise me with a birthday cake already setup for me when I arrived to my room! And Ms. Shandricka (blame my mind and not my heart if I misspelled or misnamed) took great care of me when eating at the poolside dining, remembering me by name made me feel at home. There was another waitress that helped with great recommendations and the smoothie king's passion for creating was a joy to experience. I was so well served at the spa that I'll be adding regular massages to my own self care routine. The solo steam room reservations are chef's kiss! Only drawback was the rain that of course is out of our control, but it did bring a swarm of mosquitos to the somewhat enclosed balcony, so I didn't get to enjoy the gorgeous balcony area available in the suites, but once the rain subsided and dried things off the mosquitos did too. That balcony was definitely a determining factor in me choosing to upgrade. If you have the chance to opt for the ocean view its well worth it, even if only through the floor to ceiling window/sliding door. Would definitely recommend. Thank you!
Excellent costumer service
elenshanahan (Omaha, Nebraska) on Jan 10, 2026
We arrived at Alaia without our luggage which had gotten stuck in Houston. Our concierge Hortensio went about and beyond to help us with that situation. He was also extremely helpful switching our activities until we got our luggage with our snorkeling gear. From Hortensio to Hezron and Maria in the restaurant, the costumer service at Alaia was amazing.
Great experience

I was originally supposed to go to Antigua, but I ended up staying at ALAIA in San Pedro, Belize, and I’m so glad I did. The service throughout the resort was outstanding—very attentive, warm, and genuinely welcoming. A special shoutout to Elvis, who handled our luggage upon arrival. He was professional, friendly, and made the check-in process smooth and stress-free. When it was time to leave, Eric took care of our bags and ensured our departure was just as seamless, always with a great attitude and a smile. Another big thank you to Hesrom, the breakfast host, who was welcoming, attentive, and made every morning start off right. His friendliness and care really stood out. Lastly, Hortencio deserves major recognition for booking all of our excursions and flights. Everything was perfectly organized, smooth, and hassle-free, allowing us to fully relax and enjoy Belize without worrying about logistics. The entire team at ALAIA truly delivers exceptional hospitality. Because of people like Elvis, Eric, Hesrom, and Hortencio, this stay exceeded expectations, and I would absolutely return and recommend this resort to anyone visiting San Pedro.
Great choice for a Hotel on Ambergris
tropic1 (florida) on Jan 05, 2026
Wonderful Hotel on Ambergris Caye. We stayed in a 2BR Oceanfront at the Reef and couldn't have been happier. The staff were happy, attentive and welcoming. The room was clean and comfortable. We were steps from the beach, bars, restaurants and a Dive shop. The pools were large and had great bar and food service. The location just south of town was just far enough to be out of the crowds but close enough to take a golf cart to everything in town. There were two grocery stores a block from the resort but you would be better off going a couple minutes farther to a large clean one, I believe it was HomeTan? We will stay here again
Quiet but close to everything

Property is beautiful and well situated to be close to everything that is going on but still feels quiet and relaxing. Service was great, especially Eric. Eric was extremely helpful with bags, recommendations and always had a smile on his face. Restaurants could use a refresh of their menus. Luckily there were plenty of other great restaurants close by. The only thing we really missed was a traditional, swimmable beach area
