I can’t say enough about how wonderful our experience was here! From the time we got there we were greeted with the warmest welcoming staff and they gave us fresh cold towels for our faces and a nice welcome drink. The food was beyond amazing! We spent hours at the pool daily and the staff and atmosphere was beyond top tier each day! Eric, Kenroy, and Sharon were so kind and so
personable, I forget everyone else’s name but they were all amazing! We felt like family there. This is the best hotel/resort I’ve ever been to and will be the only one I stay in when coming to San Pedro!

I don’t normally give a resort 5 stars because there is always something imperfect at even the best resorts. However the Marriott Autograph Alaia in San Pedro was an exceptional place worthy of 5 stars. The functional elegance of the hotel and design is smart. The food at all of the restaurants was excellent. And most importantly the staff across the board was the absolute best. Everyone was friendly, conversational and committed to service. Special shout out to Blanca, Javier and Elvis for going above and beyond. Definitely coming back.

Just got back from this property. Anneth was our server for breakfast and she was wonderful. She is so personable and gave us daily history lessons about Belize. She was attentive and knowledable. She really made our trip special.

Great fitness center, pool was nice, our suite was amazing and the customer service was amazing. Elvis our bellman was very helpful and really made us feel welcomed. Overall, I highly recommend this as a stop in your Belize adventure and make sure you get plenty of pool time.

We traveled to Ambergris Caye/San Pedro and stayed at the Alaia for our honeymoon trip in August 2023. It was our first time to Belize and we are very happy with our decision.
The Alaia is a lovely property with beautiful grounds and a delightful staff. Yes the food is a bit more pricey - it's a resort - but it was good and portions were NOT skimped on. We received an amazing room upgrade - 3 balconies, a huge kitchen, fantastic views, it was one of the best rooms that we have ever stayed in - and we travel a lot.
The property is not huge, but it is well kept. The only three negatives for the property related to the seaweed, the "beach" and the flies. As many have seen, the seaweed in certain beach areas is out of control, and that was an issue for the Alaia. However, the staff was out there every day and diligently clearing it out. Unfortunately, it meant that the seaweed aroma permeated the property, which was not great.
Due to the location the "beach" is really only a small strip of sand with a small outlay that is "fenced in" by rocks. So if you are looking for long beach walks and heading out deep into the ocean - that is not going to happen.
We were surprised that we had so many flies near us in the pool area. Now there is an outdoor bar by the pool, so the sugary concoctions probably contributed to the issue, but it was a bit annoying.
Outside of that, everything was great. The staff was attentive, nice, and down to earth. We had great convos with folks like Elvis, Heroz and Nigel. Mark and Jesus gave us good option for events and facilitated our "tourist" needs. Very good set of folks.
If you are heading to San Pedro, you should look into staying at the Alaia.
