Algeria Spa Experience

I have just received the best service from Paulina in the Algeria spa. She was polite, professional and guided me through the thermal experience! I had a Mayan Ritual full body treatment, performed by Sara and it was hands down the best treatment I have ever had in my life! Highly recommend! I will write another review regarding this fabulous resort later on!
Great experience in a smaller but high quality resort

Stayed 7 days as a family of 5 in the Privileged Grand Family Suite Deluxe. This was 1 king, plus 2 queens and a sofa bed in a separate room (sliding doors) and one bathroom. Cost was CAD ~$10k booked about a month in advance. Although we requested a room on a higher floor, the resort staff told us that these types of rooms were only available on the ground floor. We were in building 3 on the "quiet pool" side which worked out well for privacy and no issues with noise. Booked with Sunwing, smooth transfers both ways (~1h drive from airport, ~1.5 on way back due to multiple stops). No complaints about the room - modern, comfortable and had a nice private patio (shaded by plants). Other ground floor rooms had patios that looked directly onto the pool, so would have been much less private and noisy. The resort was beautiful, modern and very well maintained. Staff were excellent throughout and made us feel very welcome. Cool iguanas for the kids. Restaurant booking is available once you have a room number. We found it very easy to book all the restaurants we wanted, at the times we wanted, but the resort was not at full capacity so YMMV. Best restaurants were Ayami (teppanyaki) and Bloved (for Privileged tier only). Steakhouse, Mamma Mia, Adelita were all fine but not excellent. Buffet was high quality and no queues. Beach was beautiful, with limited seaweed. Windy conditions made for poor swimming on a couple of days. Kayaks and paddleboards are available on calmer days. Pools were both great but narrow if you want to play games, and would be crowded if the resort was at capacity. Only downsides were: 1. Lack of sport facilities - there are still signs to the tennis courts that used to exist on top of the theatre roof, but the courts themselves have been taken down and not replaced with anything (e.g. tennis, pickleball). Gym is okay, but not accessible to teenagers <18. 2. Limited facilities for teen/youth - young kids would be good enough, but options are limited for 9-18 years. The "Teen Club" is unsupervised, unstructured and only open limited hours. We had to pay full "Adult" cost for our 14 year old, but were told that they could not hang out with our 12 year old in the "teen club" without another adult present, which is very limiting. 3. Activities schedule - this is meant to be posted on the website, but is not followed (at all). We could not reliably find out what was going on each day without finding a staff member. 4. Lack of shade on beach - inadequate number of umbrellas/cabanas for the beach so was quite exposed. Mostly have to rely on natural shade from palm trees.
Spa visit!
