The hotel is situated on a beautiful strip of white sandy beach with stunning views of the sea from the front aspect. Staff are very well turned out and can't do enough to help make your stay enjoyable. The Azul restaurant does a great breakfast menu and caters for most tastes and has a different cuisine each evening. But the shining star for food has to be Hakka Restaurant, where they specialise in Asian Cuisine. The quality of the food was outstanding and when we returned for a second night, we went with the chefs recommendations. We were not disappointed! In fact, we were so impressed with the flavours and ingenuity of the dishes that we will be returning again before our stay ends. The staff were outstanding in their professionalism and went above and beyond to ensure we had the best experience. Esteban waiter, Crispin, Esteban chef and Alejandra get a special mention and apologies if I missed anyone else. What a team!! Can't recommend this restaurant enough. Although the hotel needs some tlc and money invested to upgrade some tired fixtures and fitting, the staff made our stay memorable for all the right reasons.

We stayed at Oleo from Sept 23rd-Sept27th. This was me & my partners first time in Mexico and we felt right at home. Upon arrival we were greeted by the staff a glass of Mimosa and a cold towel (for the heat). All the staff were super friendly and always went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. We did stay during Hurricane Helena but it did not ruin our stay. The hotel was very prepared for the storm and made sure to communicate with their guests. I have stayed in a couple all inclusive hotels where the food is very bland. I must say the food was incredible. All three restaurants never disappointed. I would be recommending this place to everyone. This is definitely a very relaxing resort. A very special shoutout to some of the staff members I could remember such as Eduardo, Kevin, and Gustavo. We’re already planning our next trip to Mexico! Thank you for making us feel right at home.

We were there this past week Sept. 22-27th during Hurricane Helena and I thought I’d was going to be a horrible experience for our first trip out of the country! But it was the total opposite! The room was great! House keeping came everyday and made the bed cleaned up and gave us new towels. Beautiful view of the Caribbean Sea! The staff was great! The food was great! Room service was good as well! It was our 6yr anniversary and the left is a champagne bottle with a little note. Which was a great touch! The pool was awesome. When it was opened. They had some issues with it so they had to drain it and fix the problem but it was back up and running within two days. The entertainment from “chocolat” (Antonio) was great! He was funny, entertaining, and kept the guests alive during the storm! Bingo, water aerobics, games etc…Some of the other guest entertainment needs a little work like the one singer that was performing. But she was ok. Mexican night was probably the best night! Good was delicious, vendors were out and doing their best to sell what they could! Some of the things they had were amazing! The bracelets and beaded items it was unbelievable she made them by hand! The one women staff member was a little pushing early in the morning trying to sell us a package and she said “help me with my commission”(laughing) but we were just trying to relax and didn’t want to be bothered. But we kindly said no and she went away. The staff girl by the pool all day was super sweet! I didn’t catch her name but she always asked how everything was going. We definitely will be going again next year. This place treats you like family! Knowing your name greeting you like they’ve known you for a long time. If you want a relaxing atmosphere and people that call you by your name and make you feel like it’s home then try this resort! It may not have all these extra whistles and clubs and extra things but it was well worth the money for this first trip to Mexico!! Thanks to all the staff that made this trip awesome!! We went oleo cancun from end of august to early September 2024. As a family of 5, with three adult children, the hotel was absolutely amazing, the service start to finish was absolutely spot on and I cannot fault the service and hospitality at all. Service by Tamara, Marco and Mauricio the hotel customer service staff were amazing, and really tried their best to tend our every need. As a Muslim, with halal dietary needs, the hotel offered a wide range of vegetarian options, however, I would suggest incorporating more vegetarian meat alternatives such as vegan nuggets/ sausages, vegan meat ect, allowing those on a veg diet to enjoy foods such as the tacos, fajitas, burritos ect, as we felt we missed out on enjoying such meals. However, all in all, an excellent hotel and excellent service. Would absolutely recommend oleo playa to all looking for a hotel that offers 10/10 service, fantastic food and dessert, and drinks Inc non alcoholic versions all day long!

The service at Oleo’s is beyond exceptional and that view! I just could not get enough of it! A special shout out to the servers that went above and beyond. Nadiel, Enrique, William, and Chef Ivan. All were extremely exceptional and very kind to us. The food was extremely delicious and chef Ivan even allowed us to modify some plates! I decided to do the all inclusive which I believe was worth it when it came down to the food. As for the drinks, I would advise you to ask for a double if you decide to have a cocktail as the pour is a little on the softer side. In a small note I did have a little bit of a tiff which management was able to address right away. Overall my experience there was amazing and I cannot wait to go back.
