This place is ok

John M on May 14, 2026

I’ve stayed in several All Inclusive hotels in Cozumel over the years and this one is ok (Meh). No AC in the Main Restaurant. AC in our room was worked on by Maintenance five times during our stay. My wife was refused coffee at 11:00 a.m. Further, the staff treated her poorly upon your request. The gift shop charged us $37 for 12 caps of Benadryl. There have been three accidents during our stay while guests were injured severely. Mainly due to slip and falls. Believe it or not, there are no rubber mats or any type of material on the marble floors in the pool bathrooms to prevent such accidents. Customer Service here is OK. There are a handful of employees that go above and beyond, but most just do their job. The auditorium where they perform their nightly entertainment is so hot and filled with bugs (you get eaten alive).

Amazing trip to Iberostar Waves Cozumel

Eryn A on May 12, 2026

This was our third time at this resort. The property is beautiful, it’s like its own little village! The food is always amazing and they have 3 different restaurants along with the main dinning buffet area. We haven’t attended the shoes in the evening before, but we went every night this trip and the shows were amazing and we really do enjoy them! They have different activities going on throughout the day. I had been having trouble with sciatica for some time and my goal while we were there was to work on that in the nice gym that they have. On the first day I happen to join in a Pilates class they offered. While talking with the instructor about my issues he informed me that he was a Physical Therapist and could help me. So I worked with Malono Carmona each morning while we were there and he gave me a couple of videos and movements to do each day! I’m so greatful to him for his help! Everyone that works there is so friendly and helpful we are looking forward to going back soon!

Great service, fun atmosphere, good diving

K437LAedwardk (Ashland, Oregon) on May 11, 2026

My wife, sister and her husband and grown kids, and elderly parents just spent a week together at this resort and had a great time. It's a beautiful setting, the staff is friendly and ever accommodating, and there is first rate scuba diving for the divers in the family. The food is good and abundant, as are the drinks. The people who visit are fun-loving, without being out-of-control, and while there are some children, the place seems to be visited mostly by adults from those in their 20's all the way up to those in their 80's (like my parents). The diving is solid, maybe not quite as good as Roatan, but close, and without the "no-see-ams" that eat me alive there. I would definitely recommend Cozumel and this resort and plan to return.

Great staff and just the right size...

Michelle G on May 08, 2026

We don't usually stay at all-inclusive resorts since they generally seem too big, too cold, and too distant from the local area. But we truly enjoyed our stay at Iberostar Waves Cozumel. The property was beautifully kept, felt cozy and relaxed, and beach access couldn't have been easier. I can't say enough kind things about the staff, who were all friendly and professional. Special shout out to Christian O., Guest Service. He spent 30 minutes with me the first day describing all of the things to do on Cozumel, and it was great to check in with him daily for updates and conversation. Much appreciation to Rufino for helping me find the real deal places and food (cochinita!). Also, big thanks to the Star Camp staff (Rosy, Sol, the gentleman who ran the atrapasuenos project). My son enjoyed many of the activities offered. It was great how he could pop in and out to participate and not have to stay the whole day. My only suggestion for improvement is to play more music in Spanish (as opposed to music from the U.S.). Thank you for a great vacation!
