All my expectations were exceeded at this resort The check-in went smoothly Cleanliness of the rooms The staff in all departments Especially Christian Ocampo Concierge The food !!!! especially the ease of eating at the à la carte restaurants The variety and options were over the top. The entertainment staff The quality of the shows and activities Absolutely the best location in Cozumel for SCUBA Diving!!! We’ll stay again I would recommend this place to friends and family

Lots of great things to say about a metal star waves! That said, the best of the best is Maria with the tacos at El cedral. She makes fresh tacos right in front of you, has the best smile and is kinder than anything I've ever known! A smile that brings Joy and tacos that fill you up! Thank you Maria for making this such a special trip!

Lovely hotel, kept beautifully clean with excellent food. There is choice of restaurants which caters for all tastes. Snack bar has burgers, hotdogs, chips etc but also fruit, buffet has good choice at lunch and then becomes smoke house most evenings with bbq'd meats etc. Buffet restaurant is very good and has themed nights which were lovely. If you want to be served at the table there is a lovely Oriental restaurant and Mexican too. Rooms very spacious and comfortable and showers lovely and hot. Animation team work really hard, organising activities to suit all. However they are not pushy if you do not want to join in. Big shout out to Jocelyn, Camila, Jesus and Ismail for all their hard work and being so friendly. Also if you want to know anything at all, Jan (AKA Harry Potter or Emre!!) and Alonso at reception are amazing. They always make time to help you and are such fun. Also lots of beautiful birds, animals, butterflies and plants around the hotel. Just a couple of negatives for us. Firstly the hotel is rather cut off and taxis are not cheap. Secondly the coatis are a real nuisance in the dining areas. Unfortunately, although it says not to, people feed them and this encourages them. The staff have to work around them (and the Grackels) but they can often be found on tables. Although I love wildlife, there is a place for it and it is not in a restaurant. People do not seem to understand that feeding them is doing them no favours as it will increase their chances of not being able to survive in the wild and ultimately upsets the ecosystems.

This is not our first trip here and we have not been disappointed. I want to take time to give a shout out to Jesse. We had bedn here multiole times but because sometimes i used my middle name snd sometimes not, thr system did not tally out visits correctly. Jesse came to our rescue and found our previous visit so our count was correct. He took the time to fix this’s snafu for us. People like Jesse are what make me want to come again. The beach is beautiful. The staff friendly, the food plentiful and tasty. Diving with Dressel diving was great. Manu was a very good divemaster. Our room was nice with good air conditioning. Our rooms were cleaned every day and looked good. We did have an issue with the toilet draining and the shower draining but when we called, we had a quick response Amber the issues were resolved

Going to give a good honest review based on our experience. Location: Very secluded but only a short inexpensive taxi ride into Cozumel town which is bustling and lively with shops, bars and markets. Hotel: Lovely, all staff are amazing and so friendly and will want to make your stay extremely welcoming. Left me a bottle in my room for my birthday next day. Everyone says hello and are always asking if there is anything they can do to help. Lots of animals, coatie, iguana, flamingo, turtles, parrots. Grounds are amazing and well kept. Rooms: Everything you need, fabulous air conditioning, spacious bathroom, room safe and a hammock on the terrace. Well stocked fridge with free beer, coke, sprite and water. Restaurants. Buffet - fabulous, they do themed nights and I dare anyone to not find something they like, varied and plentiful. Mexican - made my birthday so special with a cake and sang happy birthday and this hadn't been pre booked. Loved this so much we went twice during our stay. Great atmosphere and food is delicious. Oriental - not really a great menu, buffet to start was good however mains just consisted of satay everything, no variety however if you love satay, you're quids in. Smoke House - did not try however my husband went for lunch and said it was tasty. Lunch Buffet outside - burger, hot dogs, chips salad and every other day had a special on like BBQ or fajitas or paella. Dressel Divers - did the snorkelling and diving with them. Hugo and his girlfriend on the dive were amazing, such good value for money, morning in the pool and afternoon diving, even saw stingrays, moray eel and sea turtles. Only downside was the dark haired lady who booked you in was a little sullen, she could have done with a course in customer service however the short haired lady was so friendly, warm and welcoming. Evening entertainment - not great. Couple of good shows Rock show (welcome to the Yungle) and magic show. The rest was a very poor Haven or Butlins experience. They did have some singers in reception after the show so you could have a relaxed drink. We were lucky enough to be there on independence day and the mariati band in reception were great. Daytime activities- you were not pushed into these but if you wanted to join in with ping pong, volleyball, it was good fun. Overall - had an amazing time and was sorry to leave. I am a seasoned traveller having been Europe, Asia, Carribean and can honestly say this was one of the best holidays ever!
