Terrible customer service. I booked a room for ann employee and upon checkout the line was very long and we were on a time constraint. E*** called multiple times for a receipt because he never received one. Front desk hung up on him once. Then he called diamond desk and was again treated like he was an untrustworthy person by both the original CSR and both reps at diamond desk one being a supervisor. I strongly believe that I will take my business and all of our employees to another chain because of this experience. I still can’t believe how bad this was. Strongly recommend another hotel. Bath water was a light brown as well.
Tired and Dated Property

Super disappointed with this place. Ownership has clearly deferred maintenance and updates. Unhelpful staff bordering on rude. Specific issues with room: door had obviously been broken into but not repaired, carpet was filthy, dirty baseboards throughout, filthy window and glass railing on balcony, bloodstain, stained and badly worn furniture. A/C was super loud, was told “that’s just how it is.” (I took filter out myself by second night which was what was causing loud rattling.) King-sized bed had tiny pillows the size of throw pillows. (King bed should have king pillows!) Scraped and peeling paint everywhere. Even though I’m a Hilton Diamond, had to essentially beg for a late checkout. ONLY redeeming quality was a nice view. For nearly $450/night (which included taxes and resort charge) this place was a huge bummer.

Bahia Del Mar Fort Lauderdale

In Ft Lauderdale Beach there are two Bahia Del Mar hotel buildings. One of them might be nice but I wasn't given a $600 room in that one. What I did get was a circa 1950's hotel room in an old building with a small bathroom (no sink vanity), a leaking room from above, 30" doorways (just goes to show you how old this place was) and no heat. It was in the 40's. The valet parking was $48 (or $45 if you parked yourself), and the complimentary breakfast was $38 each. You see, the con man bartender, when asked "how does this work" (referring to the the breakfast buffet) he didn't bother to define the "complimentary" options. I thought the Breakfast was very nice but for a $600 hotel room I never thought that it if took a slice of bread from the wrong side of the buffet that it would cost me $38. The deal is, if the bartender had actually told us the what I needed to know about the complimentary breakfast I would had a complimentary breakfast, wouldn't have had to pay for anything, and he wouldn't have gotten a tip. By withholding the information he essentially ripped me off the 18% INCLUDED tip. It's an old dump with Hilton lipstick, the staff rips you off, and the equipment is broken (another story). I think I'm actually done with Hilton altogether. Recurring problems through many Hilton franchise stays. What was once the gold standard of hotels in now just a Motel 6. Don't leave the light on for me.

The servings were walked into the hotel we were greeted with the biggest smile by Samantha even though it was late. When we checked out early in the morning Samantha was still working and she was so happy and cheerful. We stay at many hotels since we work in the airline industry as well and Samantha was absolutely the best. Todd and Margie Watts
