The food was good and tasted great Chef Kyjuan did a great job on cooking our food nothing was cold and everything came as i asked my only thing was that I wish they had a bit more on the menu. the servers were very nice and had patience while others where looking through the menu as well

I enjoyed my time and restaurant experience with Chef Kyjuan. The food is excellent and I would recommend others Chef Kyjuan. All our foods came out well cooked and seasoned. I would recommend to other visitors to come and visit the restaurant here.

I had a good time and my meal thanks to Chef Kyjuan. The Pasta alla Vodka was splendidly, great sauce and flavorful chicken. Excellent service and didn't have to wait long for drinks and the food. This is a good restaurant I would recommend others to dine at. ????

I enjoyed my time there and especially enjoyed Chef Kyjuan. He checked on us to make sure that not only our meals were to our liking but as well as our time spent there was a good one. He gave suggestions to meals that my friends and I should absolutely try out the next time we go there and I am looking forward to seeing him again in the near future

I'm not sure why there are so many negative reviews on this property - I almost cancelled my reservation, but I'm thankful I didn't. I can only assume major changes took place to improve service, etc. I chose this hotel primarily for it's proximity to the Swimming Hall of Fame pool - there were a few others in the area, but this seemed to check a lot of the boxes for me. I was nothing but pleased with my stay at Bahia Mar. I was SO impressed at the level of service provided by all employees I encountered - everyone appeared happy and eager to help. If anything, some went out of their way to ask if there's anything they can do for us. We stayed on the 9th floor in the Tower. The rooms were well-appointed and clean - granted, if you look hard, you can see some wear and tear - but it's mostly in the bathroom and minor. Bedding was clean and comfortable and the AC worked amazingly well! Views were great and I'm sure would have been from any room given the hotel's location. Breakfast buffet was well stocked with hot foods, cold foods, plentiful fruits, beverages, and an omelet station. (My kids really wanted waffles and pancakes so we ordered off the menu for them as the buffet did not have those available). Kids eat free here with each paying adult which is a nice bonus. The breakfast staff was so friendly and helpful. We had lunch in the hotel on a different occasion as well. I had the friend chicken sandwich which was okay (I've had better, but it wasn't bad by any means) which was served with fries. Unfortunately, they don't offer a kids menu for lunch or dinner (and I wish they would!) but they did offer chicken tenders - not on the menu. My kids both ordered tenders and they came out overcooked and rather bland - so those were not a hit and we didn't eat there again. But service was really good and the pricing was reasonable. The coffee cafe off the lobby was nice and convenient with some grab and go items as well as some bakery goods. The coffee menu is pretty simple - not a lot of "fancy" drinks however - pretty much just hot and cold coffee, latte, mocha, and the coffee wasn't my favorite, but it was easy and convenient. The hotel offers easy access to the bach via a bridge which was nice. My kids prefer spending most of their time in the pool area. A few small improvements/suggestions for the pool area for management to consider: 1. The pool temperature is WAY too hot. It's not refreshing in the heat and doesn't provide much comfort on hot days. I'd suggest a cooling of about 4-5 degrees. 2. Please look into ways to shade some portions of the pool for guests - it's in the blazing hot sun with no shade until after 5:30 pm. Perhaps some strategically placed palm trees, umbrellas, etc. Please do something - it's miserable in that pool with no place for shelter - and it's also hard on kids. 3. Please look into some fan misters for guests around the pool deck. On hot days, there's no breeze and hard to find shade. 4. The chairs and umbrellas are packed so tight, there's literally no room for movement or to adjust umbrellas for shade. 5. The bar service staff are very friendly and offer many options. The seating in the area is also nice as well. All in all, this was a great choice for a few nights in the area. There aren't a ton of restaurants to walk to, but a quick uber ride away you can find almost anything. And if you're willing to walk, within 1-2 miles there are a TON of options.
