Badly needs renovations. Bathroom is old with tiny commodes and low mounted shower heads. Carpet is dated and doesn’t feel clean. Towels are postage stamp size. The elevator system is whacked. You can’t board an elevator and get where you want to go. You have to order it to your floor. It takes FOREVER! Highly inconvenient, inefficient and ineffective. They NEVER answer the phone in any department. This hotel is no where near Four Star in condition, cleanliness, service OR quality. Too many kids in the pool to even get near it, plus the free beach chairs are gone by 7:30 for the entire day. Never again. Cannot recommend.

Great location for my 82 year old mother to have easy access to the beach, tour bus, and trolley stops. Be sure to book an ocean view room! The sunsets are amazing from your balcony! The restaurants, in the hotel and around it, are also fantastic! Great stay!

Aussie here! Stayed at Twin Fin for a week in July. Stunning views, ocean and diamond head ?? Old run down rooms, comfortable bed. Cleanliness not great, there was an old chip under the bed, an eyelash on the ground and smudges on the mirror. The balcony door couldn’t open the whole way as it would get caught. The security of the hotel is not good, anyone can get up to any level of the hotel and walk around the pool area without a hotel card. We had a leak in our bathroom ceiling, we let reception know at 7pm no one came up 10pm. Smelt like mould. Valet parking only, $60 a day. House keeping every 2nd day. No room service. Good location, wouldn’t stay here again. Gives 2-3 star hotel.

Ricky at the Twin Fin Waikiki was absolutely wonderful to work with. Our flight was delayed the previous day, and although I tried to contact the hotel to let them know to hold our reservation, we couldn’t get another flight out until the following day because all flights were full. When I arrived early the next morning, Ricky greeted me with a warm smile, immediately put me at ease, confirmed our reservation, and got us checked in without any issues. His kindness, professionalism, and positive attitude truly stood out. Ricky’s exceptional customer service made a stressful travel situation so much easier. He is a great representative of the hotel, and I sincerely appreciate the care and hospitality he showed us. Thank you, Ricky, for making us feel so welcome! Fusi and grandkids!

We stayed 3 nights at the Twin Fin, in a standard, partial view room on the 20th floor. We enjoyed our time in the Waikiki area but that had little to do with the hotel itself. Having said that, there was nothing really wrong with the Twin Fin; nor was there anything special about it except for its prime location on Kukio Beach and its top-rated restaurant (Tiki’s). Our room was clean, quiet, and comfortable and we had good sleeps there. The room size, amenities, decor, and furnishings were about the same as a Best Western Plus on the mainland. However, maintenance needs to be done to fix dry wall dents and paint chips. And we didn’t like the fact that rooms were only cleaned and made up every second day. The term “partial view” was a bit misleading. There was only a view of the balconies on another hotel through our sliding glass door. In order to see the ocean, we had to go out on our balcony and look to the side. We’d recommend getting an ocean view or garden/pool view room, – both of which would be nicer than the partial view option. The main thing we disliked about the Twin Fin was its “resort fee”. Even if you book the Twin Fin online or through your travel agent, you still have to pay this separate fee upon arrival ($56 per day). Supposedly, it covers things such as WiFi, room service, pool, gym, and towel use, — items that hotels on the mainland include as part of their nightly rate. In addition, you get free use of 3 beach items per day per room. For example, you can request 2 beach chairs and an umbrella. However, the whole thing is a colossal rip-off. We checked in at 10:00 pm, couldn’t use anything on the “resort fee” list, but still had to pay the full amount for that calendar day. Moreover, our first full day on Oahu was spent touring the island and we didn’t use anything on the “resort fee” list, not even WiFi. However, we couldn’t even bank the use of the 3 beach items for the next day. The Twin Fin is a very ordinary hotel and is not a “resort” by any stretch of the imagination. The “resort fee” is simply an unfair surtax on the regular room rate. Would we stay at the Twin Fin again? Probably not; now that we’ve experienced Waikiki, we’d likely look for a condo on a quieter beach, — with no resort fee.
