Great time in Hawaii and our Hotel location was very great. Room cleanness was very good but the only things I think is, when we had our fruit or food was not any cutely or plate to use. Thanks any way

Great People - Great Service

normw899 (Vancouver Island, Canada) on Aug 24, 2024

This is our second time in 6 months at the Twin Fin. It was that great. Allison Park sales manager extraordinaire treats all her customers with incredible care and patience - especially returning customers. She gave us a fantastic rate and always responded to us quickly through emails through the whole booking process. Trinity at the front desk on the overnight shfit warmly received us at front desk and remembered that our Volleyball team was at the Twin in March. We had a serious medical emergency during our stay/ (unlisted allergen from take out food from Foodland - not related the Twin Fin). Jackroy - night manager jumped into action and arranged EMS to come and take us to Straub Hospital. The next day Brian (hotel director) called to check on us - very professional and caring. The breakfast was 5 stars and the staff was incredibly accommodating for allergies and made special food modifications especially for us. It was so fitting that we checked out with Trinity at the desk - last night. We are already planning our next stay. It was that great.

Older hotel but has everything you need

MairiB41 (Smithville, Texas) on Aug 15, 2024

First thing you should know about this hotel is that it is old. Most of the hotels in Waikiki are. That being said, the staff has done their best with what they have. The room we had was very large and had everything we needed (safe, fridge, bedside tables with outlets for charging phones etc. ) The bed was super comfy and so were the pillows. We had a balcony with and ocean view, lots of drawers and hanging space, and iron and board. The bathroom was fine and the water pressure was fantastic. However, the shower/tub looked old and maybe could have been scrubbed a bit (but it was old.) Something I can overlook. The elevators were an issue though. Sometimes your room card would work, other times it would say, " please try again." There were days that there were many of us standing around trying our cards and it was like a game to see if someone's card was going to work. My 4 stars are for the elevators not working well, and for the shower not being super clean. The first day the tub didn't drain, but after the cleaning staff came in and cleaned the room they fixed that and we never had an issue again. The last thing I will say is that you can't beat the location of the Twin Fin for the price. The beach is right across the street, and it's close to the shops.

The Twin Fin and Olu products from Vanderlyn Hospitality Group

Lisa W on Aug 13, 2024

Remembering our once-in-a-lifetime anniversary trip to Hawaii and wanted to give a shout out to our first hotel, The Twin Fin, in Waikiki. Our room was considered one with a "partial view" but our eyes looked upon a magnificent view every day. The breakfast choices that came with our stay were incredible and the staff would even make them "to go" if you were going to be heading out for an early morning tour. Loved the Hawaiian scented shower gel and lotion in the room and, although they are not for retail sale, a lovely gift box of the Olu products were sent to me by the kind folks at Vanderlyn Hospitality Group, the distributor, to help me keep the memory of my trip alive!
