Great Location, Comfortable Stay in Waikiki

Sammy L on Mar 27, 2026

Stayed at Hilton Garden Inn Waikiki Beach and honestly had a really good time. The location is super convenient; right across from the International Market Place, close to the Royal Hawaiian Center, and an easy walk to the beach. The pool and gym were both solid, nothing fancy but definitely good enough to get the job done. The convenience store and restaurant downstairs were also helpful. Only small issue was the smoke detector—it’s pretty sensitive. I’d recommend not using aerosols in the room, or just spraying them out on the balcony to be safe. Overall, really comfortable stay and I’d come back again.

Amazing morning yoga class

ijani92 (Hannover, Germany) on Mar 26, 2026

We had a morning yoga class at the hotel and it was absolutely wonderful. Phoenix was our instructor, and she did an amazing job — calm, professional, and very encouraging. It was the perfect way to start the day. Highly recommended!

In Hilton Garden Inn Waikiki-Every Day Yoga class with Phoenix

Ann-Kathrin E on Mar 26, 2026

Great yoga class—she makes sure everyone can participate at their own pace. She offers a variety of options and helps you slow down a bit from the hustle and bustle of Waikiki. Thanks, Phoenix

Great service!

GrandTour52048924389 on Mar 22, 2026

The room was a pleasure to stay in, with lovely views of the ocean. Maria was taking great care of us and we appreciated that so much — extra coffees, extra towels, etc. she was always a smiling face and a pleasure to work with.

Looks Like a Red Roof Inn in Des Moines in the 1970s

O2572FUbilla (Saint Louis, Missouri) on Mar 18, 2026

First, this hotel is not on the beach. It's on a city block surrounded by commercial buildings, so don't think you're going to walk out the door onto the sand. Second, the lobby has very dated, old fixtures and furnishings and it's very depressing. I felt as though I had walked into a Red Roof Inn in Des Moines in the 1970s. The whole lobby needs a facelift to bring it into line with other Waikiki hotels. The people who stay here look like budget travelers. They don't appear to expect much and they don't get much. If you want to stay at a hotel on the beach, stay at the Royal Hawaiian or the Sheraton. They're lovely and you can walk right out the door onto the sand. Their public rooms are upscale and inviting and the guests look happy to be there.
