Dated for a resort
firmogarcia on Sep 03, 2023
Subpar and dated rooms, not worth the valet they charge, pricey for old rooms. Avoid if possible. The Price Hotel which we stayed at in the previous 2 days was even better for a cheaper price. Do not waste your money or points in the Hilton Lagoon Tower.
Family Friendly

My wife and I had very good time visitng Honolulu and staying at this Hilton property. There is something to do for everyone in the family. If you decide the village is too crowded other beaches and activities are only a short drive away. Resturants are a little pricey but plenty of options with lots of different choices. Beaches aren't the best on the island but you can't beat the location.
Outdated, Understaffed and Overpriced

We have stayed at the HHV on many occasions but our most recent family stay it was a complete disappointment The Quilty of the resort has gone massively down hill, it is completely understaffed, what staff there is don’t want to help you, from check in to check out - staff were not helpful and the Bell man was even rude, when we asked for assistance with bag upon check out. If you want to spend your holiday lined up for an hour to get a coffee, a meal, an ice cream - this is the place for you! Don’t try and room charge anything either, this is now actively discouraged by all shops on the resort - get ready to carry cash or cards everywhere. Yep cards, no using iPhone tap and go here - their technology is so out dated - at least it matches the overall feel of the resort now outdated. Go for a swim in the merky pools, water slides are only open for small kids from 11-2 and for bigger kids after 2, so good luck if you have both small and big kids trying to enjoy a day at the pool at the same time , mind you, you won’t get a sun lounge or chair to sit on after the pool opens at 9am as the trample begins with another cue before the pool even opens. I honestly would just look for something more modern, well maintained, staffed with helpful people. As my title indicated the HHV now is just Outdated, Understaffed and Overpriced - not something I thought I would say as have been a frequent visitor - but no longer!
Couple vacation

Couple short get away. Property is in a prime location. Everything was a little expensive in the property but you have options to go outside the village. Prices for chairs and umbrellas at the beach were outrageous. Definitely buy water shoes.
Old and very crowded Lagoon Tower

This property is very old and super crowded! Also the charge of $65 for parking is nuts. Keep in mind there was lots of food options but very overpriced. If you are a fan of busy beach spots and lot of public visitors to the property then this is your choice. I prefer less crowds.
