3 nights at HHV

We stayed here for three nights on the beginning of our Hawaii vacation The space is great. However, it is dated and in just ok condition. With a refresh, it could be stellar. The HHV area is nice, but it is very busy. Pools crowded and has very expensive parking @$68/night. Lots pf traffic around the city as well so plan your time widely. It was a good home base to explore all of Oahu, but next time, I would stay in a different part of the island for the real Hawaiian experience.
Great apartment and views, but a very busy resort

We stayed for four nights in a two-bedroom apartment at Hilton Grand Vacations Club Honolulu and it was a really comfortable base for our time in Honolulu. The apartment was clean, spacious and had everything you could possibly need, including a washer and dryer (a godsend on a longer trip). The balcony had lovely views and was the perfect spot for a quiet coffee or sundowner. The resort itself is lively, with nightly entertainment at the bar and lots of pools, although they were absolutely packed during our stay. The beach is good and well run, with towels and loungers provided, which made life easy. Restaurants on site are convenient but eye-wateringly expensive for fairly average food, so we tended to eat out whenever we could. The location is good and works well for exploring the area. All in all, a solid, well-run resort with great apartments and views — just be prepared for crowds and pricey on-site food.
Lovely hotel in waikiki - Elvis used to stay here too

Lovely hotel on the end of Waikiki beach, furthest from Diamond head - and so a beach walk away from where most of the 'action' is on waikiki. I moved hotel after a few days, though this it perfectly located for those that want quieter beach, perhaps a little less busy. Hotel has a lovel adjacent pool area to the sea, perfect for families and younger children - safe from the currents and offers swimming and other water sports. Hotel has some lovely rooms, especially in Rainbow tower where you can get rooms with wrap around view facing the sea and sunsets, Good beach bar and restuarant lunch and a large variwty of shops in the village. Felt the hotel was stingy on water, even as a diamond member, only got two bottles of water for my whole stay! Whenever you use the events desk or concierge type service, everthing seems to take longer as there such a big focus on booking you in for a two hour tour of their vacations club. the staff are incentivised so it's aways a push and is too much really. Has a nice swimming pool area with plenty of seating and at seat service for food and drinks. WOuld stay here again, especially the room in Rainbow tower.
WARNING - DO NOT GO TO THIS HOTEL!!!!

DO NOT BOOK YOUR ROOM DURING THE PROTEST. If you book during the protest, the hotel managers will not do anything if there are issues. Their excuse is that since you book it during the protest, you as the customer knew the risks and are willing to accept subpar service at full price when their email clearly stated that the protest should not have any effect on our stay. Room service is lacking, you have to take out your out trash and get your own amenities, and endure noise disturbance from 7AM-10PM from either construction or protest. AVOID AT ALL COSTS BECAUSE IT’S ONLY THE BEST 1-STAR MOTEL I EVER EXPERIENCE. And yes, I said motel, not hotel!
Please do not visit ANY portion of Hilton Village area!

We did not enjoy a moment on the property. There is a huge strike by workers and they are in large numbers all over the properties using bullhorns and screaming from 7am until 10pm, my MIL didn't feel comfortable walking alone. No room services at all - towels and trash left out. Had to buy our own toilet paper! No heads up and no one to speak with. $85 resort fee for what exactly?? Hilton honors member even but will never stay here again.
