Checked in today after a horrible VRBO experience in North Shore. We are here on our anniversary and booked this stay to save the remaining days of our anniversary trip. After an 1.5 hour drive, we were looking forward to finally relaxing, only to be met with this as our "ocean view." Before making the reservation, we noted the partial ocean view, the ocean view, and the Diamond Head view. We decided to go with a king bed ocean view, paying more to keep our anniversary trip romantic. Pictured is our "ocean view" room. You can't see the ocean, UNLESS you're on the far right side leaning on the balcony. We called the front desk immediately and they reassured us that this is what they consider "ocean view." Aira helped us over the phone and got us moved to a standard two-bed Diamond Head ocean view (apparently this is what you need to book if you want any view of an ocean). We appreciate the help, but now we're stuck squeezing into a full-sized mattress for the next two days. Very romantic. Happy anniversary to us!
