Great value accommodation

Sightseer664305 on Dec 12, 2025

The hotel boasts a super convenient location, excellent facilities, and is clean and hygienic. Valet parking is readily available. The hotel offers complimentary drinking water and unlimited complimentary beach towels. The staff are all exceptionally friendly. Check-in was smooth with two children, one 20 months old and the other 6 years old. The rooms are spacious. Excellent value for money.

Dusty AC, Limited Parking, Daytime Construction, and Other Inconveniences

Inspire21911508040 (Setagaya, Japan) on Dec 11, 2025

I would like to share some feedback regarding my recent stay. Upon arrival, I noticed that the air conditioner filter had not been cleaned for quite some time, which resulted in dusty air being circulated in the room. I ultimately had to clean the filters myself to make the unit usable. Additionally, the lack of available guest parking and the excessively high parking rates were significant drawbacks during my stay. The ongoing construction around the facilities, particularly during the daytime, was a constant nuisance and negatively affected the overall comfort and enjoyment of the stay. I felt that the breakfast selection could be improved, as it was more limited than expected. Lastly, with only two washing machines available, the laundry facilities were often overcrowded; increasing the number of machines would greatly enhance guest convenience.

Not For Everyone

Carol M (Honolulu, Hawaii) on Dec 06, 2025

While there are positive aspects to staying here, I experienced some service lapses during my recent stay. Thankfully, manager Jeff Ha acted very quickly, despite being out of the country, to address my concerns. Jeff offered a much appreciated resolution by way of Hyatt points. I was impressed with the speed at which my concern has handled. Here are the positives: 1. Well trained, friendly and very accommodating Front Desk staff. Each person I interacted with thanked me for my Globalist loyalty. I was upgraded to the type of room I requested, they honored an early morning check-in and swiftly confirmed me for late check-out. Very happy with the Front Desk. 2. Housekeeping was great. My room was clean, they brought requested items promptly, and they were very friendly and accommodating. 3. I was offered 250 Hyatt points for every day that I opted not to have the room cleaned. This is something they offered all guests. 4. I appreciated the two filtered water dispensers in the lobby (not all hotels in Waikiki have these) and the ice machine on my floor. Here are the aspects I did not like: 1. I don’t care what other reviewers claim, this is NOT a good location. It is not the safest part of Waikiki. This is at the edge of Waikiki near the zoo, and it is far better to stay near the center or near the other end of Waikiki, closer to Ala Moana. 2. The elevators in the front tower next to the lobby were, as others have mentioned, very slow and crowded most of the day 3. The noise level, as reported by others, was quite high. I was assigned to a “quieter” room, but the sound proofing at this property was poor, and I was bothered by voices in the neighboring rooms and by doors opening and closing loudly 4. The breakfast was not enjoyable. Poor selection, poor quality, too crowded, too many aggressive birds, and not enough sheltered tables. I’d rather buy breakfast elsewhere. I understand that it is a free breakfast, but as a Globalist I am accustomed to much better. 5. We received very disappointing service from the valet and bell staffs. They stood around and watched as my daughter and I struggled to get our luggage in and out of the car, multiple times. No one offered to help. However, manager Jeff stepped in to make things right, and I trust that he will address the reported issues. I honestly cannot recommend this property to fellow Globalists— instead, stay at the Regency and enjoy the club lounge. However, for some, such as families and larger groups, this property may work. Although the rooms are very basic, the larger rooms can accommodate more guests, and it seems like there are a number of connecting rooms available.

Clean and Friendly with Great Breakfast

341francieb on Dec 01, 2025

The hotel was clean and the staff was very friendly. The continental breakfast was very nice with a revolving menu. Example of foods offered: eggs, sausage, French toast sticks, fresh pineapple, coffee, tea, oj, apple juice and water. Plus a bagel station. Our family included kids over age 18, so we had connecting rooms and the beds were very comfortable. I am picky about pillows and loved the pillows provided. There was ample charging station plugs for USB and Cable C. The hotel provided beach towels, body boards, and beach chairs. The beach is very rocky and full of reefs so you will want the body boards. Easy 3 block walk to the public Waikiki Beach. We will stay again. It met our needs in every way!
