Wonderful stay

I loved this little place, the staff were kind and the pools warm. Access to the beach is simple! And you are right next to the Hilton so a little village with more shopping and restaurants. We visited each restaurant on site and they were amazing. Overall, great experience and recommend.
The iconic Ilikai

I'd like to start by saying that this hotel is truly iconic, fabulous and very Hawaiian. Book via the official Ilikai website to ensure that you access all the amenities, freebies and services. When you make a reservation, you only pay the first night at the time of booking. Its very easy to manage the reservation online and their team was very easy to communicate with. I had a few questions from months ago before our stay and a few weeks before, they managed to answer all my inquiries and requests. When you book, make sure to choose the location of your room, you are given different view options. You can request for the view that you prefer by emailing them as well. We were at room 2540 with the view of the lagoon, beach and Friday night fireworks. We were a floor down from the penthouse. They have kindly let us check in earlier cos our room was ready and check out late til 1pm cos nobody will be using our room after. We had free ice cream, juice, bottled water, beach towels and chairs. Daily housekeeping service, daily Hawaiian coffee replenishment and a very easy to use laundry facility every floor. Its a walking distance to Ala Moana center, to the Hilton lagoon and Waikiki shops and beach walk. The pink trolly stops in front of it. Free hula show on Fridays and live music just next door in Hilton Hawaiian village. The suite itself was clean, spacious and a good size for a family, it has a full kitchen as well. I was surprised by the quick response when I requested for an extra blanket and pillows. There's a Hertz car rental in the lobby as well. There's a $250 incidental bond which will be returned when you check out. All in all, I would recommend this place for families, its such a wonderful place to stay and a lovely experience with their staff. Again, make sure to book directly with the hotel, they will look after you and will make your stay in Hawaii a pleasant and memorable one. Mahalo Ilikai!
A great choice in Waikiki

We booked with the hotel itself not a vacay management co. This hotel is at the edge of waikiki with an easy walk to the Hilton Lagoon and the beach. The vibe is very relaxed and the staff very courteous. Charmaine at check in is a gem. We got an ocean view jr. suite. We had plenty of room and it was quite clean. Housekeeping did an excellent job. We used the restaurant and coffee shop several times. It has a small general store and some gift shops and other amenities. We had perks of using hotel booking too, at the time water bottles, ice cream, free DVD rental card) and loan of beach towels for our stay (can get details from staff). This hotel embraces aloha.
Best Location and overall Value.

Excellent location atmosphere and value. This is our new favorite to go spot going forward and plan to be back with many many more visits.
Wonderful family get-a-way.

Had a great time, the room was spacious and clean, the staff was very friendly. Had shops, which included a gift/grocery shop. I highly recommend that you do not rent a car during your stay; everything is very walkable in Waikiki and there are trollies and buses that run all over the island. Parking is very expensive (45.00 a night) which really adds up.
