Stayed at the Park Shore Waikiki for 6 nights for fall break. Overall is was good. We had a king suite beachfront room. View was beautiful. Room could have been a bit cleaner. We had to call down to get sheets for the pullout bed as they were provided. And we didn’t have enough washcloths. Silverware in room didn’t appear to be cleanest so didn’t use it. But loved the inclusion of the beach rentals for next door at beach candy. Had breakfast at Oakberry and Waikiki Walls most days and they were good. Valet was always quick with our car. Overall good stay. Waikiki not my favorite area. But if you’re looking for reasonable priced hotel in area, this hotel is of good value I feel. Mahalo!

Great experience with amazing atmosphere and excellent instruction

Excellent location; rooms outdated and not very clean, nothing to sit on except the bed and a hard chair, only had paper cups - no glasses/coffee cups available. Constant humming noise even when the air conditioner was off. Outside noise was ok for Waikiki; very little "service" offered. Front desk staff were not especially friendly or helpful. No amenities to speak of. The pool was the only amenity, and there was a Japanese restaurant that was never busy. Price for value was too high-even for Waikiki $421 a night - good Ocean view. For about $100 more, could have stayed at the Marriott about a block away with a lot more to offer and a nice Ocean view. Maybe because I was a "solo" traveler, they didn't seem to care as much. Should have moved to another Hotel. If you want a quieter location in Waikiki, this hotel would work. That is why I chose it.

Location was perfect. Room was great with beautiful views. We were able to walk everything from shopping to food and beach was right there

This hotel is very nice. I’ve stayed at several hotels at this price point in Waikiki and this was by far the nicest. It felt like a nicer room than I paid for. I had a gorgeous ocean view from my balcony. (Although the balconies face the Twin Fin and you can both see each other.) Since the hotel is right across the street from the beach you can hear the waves lulling you to sleep at night. So why 3 stars? The first night I was there I had a loud knock on my door at 10pm. As I was alone I didn’t open the door. In the morning I found a letter from the front desk saying they were charging me $500 for VAPING ODORLESS NICOTINE IN THE ROOM. They have a special detector meant to find vapes. They reminded me that at check in I apparently signed something saying I wouldn’t smoke or vape in the room. Look, if I were SMOKING in the room, or even vaping WEED, I would find that reasonable. But a vape is freaking glycerin. There’s glycerin in hundreds of products. Would they be mad if someone spilled lotion with glycerin on the bathroom counter? As I said, it’s odorless. If they didn’t have their silly detector no one would’ve even known I was vaping in there. I have stayed in dozens of hotels where I vaped in the room and this has never happened anywhere else. As far as I’m concerned this was just a flagrant money grab. Either they were bluffing or they tried to charge it to my credit card and it bounced because I was at my limit. Haha! But the whole thing left a bad impression. I’ve told nearly every traveler I’ve encountered this and said that because of this I wouldn’t recommend the place. Everywhere in Hawaii gouges you and gouges you for everything (taxes are 18% on rooms, parking in Waikiki is around $50/night, the BS “resort fee” all these hotels charge is just a scam.). So I don’t need another blatant attempt to rip me off on top of all that.
