Beautiful property - saw whales, dolphins & gorgeous sunsets. Comfortable room with balcony. Good food/drinks.

All of the amenities were wonderful, but what truly makes Las Brisas special is the people. Everyone we encountered was friendly, professional, helpful and ready to do whatever they could to make our stay amazing. Our housekeeper, Juanita, greeted us daily with a cheerful hello, left lovely flowers in the bathroom and made sure we had everything we needed in our room. Front desk staff and the Concierge answered our many questions - always with a smile - and helped us exchange money, make reservations, deciphered our often patchy Spanish, and offered a happy greeting anytime we passed by. Our mealtime meseros (wait staff) were fabulous! We loved Jorge at Portofino, as well as Jesus at the dinner buffet. Their service and friendliness made it a pleasure to see them each time we dined in their areas. Our breakfast meseros Angel and Demetrio were outstanding - always ready with the coffee pot and a smile! We especially appreciated Angel and his attention. He made us feel right at home, helping us with our Spanish and making us feel like old friends. Our favorite was our lunch mesero Javier. Javier went above and beyond everytime we saw him, taking care of our table needs even if he wasn’t necessarily “assigned” to us. He offered recommendations for local activities and places to visit, answered our questions about the local wildlife we were seeing in the trees around us, and really helped us a lot with our Spanish.

Not the Las Brisas I knew and Loved

Craig H on Feb 15, 2025

While the hotel has stunning beach views and a beautiful pool it has mediocre to poor food. The hotel needs updating. The front desk experience was a nightmare. An antiquated check in and check out process. The beach provides one towel per person so that the lounges are not covered. This used to be an elegant resort but no more

Beautiful surroundings and accommodations need updating

Amy J on Feb 14, 2025

Beautiful pool and beach area. Beautiful views of the beach from our room. Hotel, however, appears to be outdated. Could be spruced up in terms of lobby area, bar, rooms, bathrooms, etc. The shower had dark stains on the floor and the toilet made noise. There is only one restaurant to have breakfast. Buffet was mediocre with food that was soggy and appeared to be sitting out for too long. On our first night there, we were not able to secure reservations for one of the sit down restaurants as concierge was not available. We attempted to be seated at either of the restaurants to no avail. They said they were booked. We therefore had to eat at the only remaining restaurant on site which was the buffet place where we have our daily breakfast. Food quality was poor and inedible. On a positive note, the staff were very friendly and attempted to be helpful.

Las Brisa’s Spa

Charmaine L on Feb 14, 2025

The property is beautiful, the view is breathtaking, and you must visit the spa where I had one of the most wonderful massage and facials I’ve ever had. Perlzi, Malincelli and Crisol really did a wonderful job for me and my two traveling buddies. I will ask for them again next time I am there.

Las Brisas Ixtapa

Has the salad, pork and churros, with Rose wine at lasbrisas11. Also the churros were an excellent way to to finish Service was friendly and the waves allowed for great ambiance. We were expecting good food based on the other reviews but the service was fantastic and pushed it over the edge.
