We selected this one solely based on views and how close the property was to the ocean in comparison to others. We also liked the north Kaanapali location. It tends to get busier near whalers village: & north is quieter. All units are individually owned and decor varies and usually is dated. The bed in our unit was so uncomfortable and needs to be replaced. The kitchen appliances were all upgraded though. We spent most of our time on the lanai and views were spectacular. It was worth staying there for the views. The staff were helpful but wouldn’t recommend any of the concierges on the property. They weren’t helpful during our stay. It was disappointing. As for the property there was no coffee shop or restaurant, but there was a great restaurant not too far off the Boardwalk—Duke’s. Highly recommend. The property does offer a 20% discount at their sister property restaurant. We ate there once and it was ok. I would recommend Mahana for ocean views and location. Whalers village is a 5-8 min drive. Black rock snorkeling close drive as well.

An older resort but very well maintained. Service of Aston staff was friendly and accommodating-left AirPods behind and they quickly located them and sent them back to me with minimal charge and hassle. Rooms have fantastic ocean views. Kitchen utensils and cooking supplies were limited. Pool area was smaller but lots of lounging space along the beachfront. Adjacent to the quietest beach in Kaanapali. Nice tennis court but would be good if better setup for pickleball. Beautiful landscaping with well shaded NO CHARGE parking for guests. Walking distance to groceries and casual dining. Covered decks were like having box seats to Maui sunsets. Would definitely stay here again.

We had a wonderful stay at the Mahana. The staff was helpful, we were greeted warmly by Rosie and made to feel right at home after a grueling 2 full days of travel. The view of the ocean from the Lanai is amazing and having breakfast out there each day was a highlight. We will definitely be back!

I spent 10 extraordinary days at my second home, The Aston Mahana from 8/25 to 9/3/26. We were given a super great unit on The Molokai Tower, room 1209 on the 12th floor. This was my 18th say at my second home, The Mahana. When I go to Maui I don't look for any other resort because I know there is The Mahana with the best ocean front views on Maui. Loved having my first cup of coffee on the balcony every morning as early as 5 am, enjoying the sound of the waves and seeing to the left the Island of Lanai and to the right The Island of Molokai. A little later I would have my breakfast and my second cup of coffee, of course enjoying the views. Then Shower and headed to church, to Maria Lanakila Parish Church where they would remember during my stay my father who loved The Mahana, too, as well as they would consider the good health of my mother who stayed with me at The Mahana before. This Unit was phenomenal, the rooms were a A+ if I may say so. When we were not out at lunch time, we would really enjoy having lunch at the balcony and looking at the views we keep in our minds 365. The management is top of the line, loving to deal with Brian Cox, the outstanding manager and with Karen at the front desk. My goal is to at least visit The Mahana 20 times, that would be 2 more times God willing.

We had a nice, cozy stay with a stunning view of the ocean. The kitchen was very thoughtfully stocked with everything we needed, including plenty of utensils, coffee maker, a full-size refrigerator, dishwasher, toaster, microwave/air fryer, and a washer and dryer. We are a couple in our 60s and spent most of our time enjoying the property and the beach, which was perfect for us. We also used the grills on the property, and they were very clean and well maintained. The rooms and furniture are a little dated, but everything was very well maintained and comfortable. We spent a lot of our time on the balcony simply enjoying the beautiful ocean view. We were lucky enough to see sea turtles, sea lions, and people surfing the waves right from the balcony, which was a wonderful experience. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. Housekeeping was available upon request, but since it was just the two of us, it wasn't difficult to keep the room clean ourselves. We appreciated that the room was equipped with a broom, dust mop, plenty of towels, and extra pillows, which made the stay very convenient. Overall, it was a relaxing and enjoyable stay. The beautiful ocean views, peaceful atmosphere, and thoughtful amenities made it a wonderful place for the two of us to unwind and enjoy our vacation. There were food trucks, grocery stores and restaurants close by as well. The bed was very uncomfortable. One side of the bed seemed like a 400lb body lay on it straight for 6 months. Ive read many reviews on the condition of the beds on this property. I would still definitely come back to this property just for the view from the rooms
