Our resort was absolutely beautiful. The rooms were amazing. The staff was very friendly and service was excellent!!! Our kids loved the pool with the sea turtles and water slide. The beach was just steps away which made beach days amazing. Not only were drinks close but the restrooms were close as well! So many fun beach items to rent as well!

Overall, had a great stay! Stayed in a 2-Bedroom Resort View Room. Pros: 1) Big Wave Shave Ice Company on property - we had some almost everyday and it was some of the best shave ice we've ever had. 2) Rooms were clean and comfortable-beds are dreamy. We had housekeeping come in everyday and restock our supplies/make beds/empty trash. 3) Pool was great for the kids and we used it every day-could be crowded at times. 4) The market on site is convenient and has almost anything you might need or forgot. 5) Mauka Makai restaurant for breakfast had pretty good food/variety and it was nice to have a quick place to go down in morning and eat breakfast when I didn't want to cook. Cons: 1) Beware that a "resort view" room can mean facing the mountain/parking structure. They basically only have ocean front and resort view. I think it would be much better to offer different views at diff price ranges rather than have everyone pay the same price and offer vastly different views. 2) The pool chair situation was the biggest nightmare. The resort states that there is a 60-min chair reservation policy-if items are left unattended for longer than that time they will remove the items and store them. The first 4-days were impossible at any time of day and at times my husband and I would need to share one chair while all around us were empty chairs being reserved for way past the hour. Finally, the last two days we were there, it seems they started to enforce because there were plenty of chairs. We even found some tags on the ground that had been left indicating that items had been removed.

Our favorite home away from home. Have now stayed here 7 years they are open. Friendly knowledgeable staff. Well kept grounds and clean interiors Wonderful room in building 2 on the 6th overlooking pool and ocean. We gave our reservation for June 2025

I felt I needed to post a review since many of the April reviews were so negative. I was almost afraid to stay there. So I can tell you that my husband and I stayed there for a week in May. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary. Everything was wonderful! Every staff person we encountered was super nice and helpful! They even gave us a box of Hawaiian Host Candy for our anniversary gift! When checking in, we asked for a higher floor ( I forgot to request it before arriving) and the lady that checked us in talked to her manager and managed to get us into a 3rd floor room. The room was very nice. Everything worked well. I kept wondering how it could possibly get the bad ratings in April. They had a shuttle to take you to the Cannery and Whalers Village. This was very helpful as parking at Whalers Village is difficult and expensive. The Whaler's Village shuttle left every 20 minutes from the resort. How convenient that was!! The fitness center was very good. I even got to try riding on a peleton bike! Most of the equipment in the fitness center was top notch! We belong to the Bay Club in El Segundo CA and they had some of the exact same equipment that we had at our club! Hope this helps others that may be concerned about the bad April reviews. I would stay there again and highly recommend this resort.

Excellent resort! We stayed a full week, it was amazing, so quiet and peaceful. Great service. We grilled every night. A short walk to Duke's. Concierge was very helpful. Wonderful gym. Great pool and hot tub. The best! My husband snorkeled right in from of the resort and saw beautiful fish.
