Our Vegas Trip

We stayed at the Golden Nugget this time in stead of the big huge Casino's. like the Venetian and Bellagio to mention a few. I will return to the Golden Nugget on Freemont Street in the near future. The rooms were great and clean and the Maid Service excellent. The food accommodations in the Nugget is plentiful, lots of choices, tasty and priced fairly. The Golden Nugget Hotel has 2 pools. One adult up stairs and a aquarium pool on the ground floor with fish and a waterslide. The casino is beautifully laid out and plenty of actions . I felt the Golden Nugget Casino had better pay outs seemed larger than Hotels like Creasers Palace and New York - New York on the South Strip. The cocktail waitress were friendlier in the Golden Nugget than most other Hotels and came around often. I noticed the gaming tables employees very happy and sincere in there profession. No question I will return to the Golden Nugget in the very near future.

One waitress made the difference

We haven't been to Las Vegas for quite a while. It has changed, Downtown is the place to be! Golden Nugget was fine. The location is perfect. Freemont St, other Casinos, dinning, shopping all within close walks (not strip sized walks!). Everything was average until Jillian was our waitress at the Rush Lounge. Great live band, very busy, Jillian worked very hard keeping cigars away, drinks coming, and very friendly at informing the drink minimum to all that sat down in the couches (very clearly labled). The band was good, but watching her work so hard to keep everyone happy was the highlight of the show, and our stay. To work that hard for a place shows the kind of place the Golden Nugget is. The pool is awesome, shark tank is incredible, but get there at 9, it gets really crowded about 11. We stayed Carson Tower, ok, nothing fancy, very low toilets, not ADA height, so if you need that, ask. Room was facing the west, could not hear Freemont St!. Stay was fine, Jillian made it great!

very pleasant stay. everyone was professional from desk to cleaning staff. anytime something was needed for room called desk and received promptly. property was kept extremely clean. rooms wer cozy and comfortable

I would recommend this hotel! Very nice and friendly people. The only thing is they should have microwaves/small refrigerator in the Carson rooms. But overall I will definitely come back and I enjoyed myself

Golden Nugget shines above strip resorts!!

Fremont hotels sometime get a bad rap but our visit to the Golden Nugget was superior to our prior visit to a strip "luxury resort". The most glaring advantage was they never once complained to us about worker shortages or towel issues. We were only here overnight to attend a concert, but we were able to pack in some of the resorts amenities. We spent the first day enjoying the Hideout pool and the staff there was very attentive and professional. No complaining, they did their jobs and made us feel very welcome. The room(1865 Carson Tower) was clean with plenty of towels and full amenities to make your stay comfortable. Housekeeping was very concerned about the cleanliness of the room and you could tell right away. A note, the valet group while very nice is overwhelmed. I searched the phone directory for the valet to try and scheduled to have our car brought up as you would in most resorts and could not find that option anywhere. You had to go to the valet station with 2 people working trying to retrieve 50+ customers cars. Not efficient and made many people upset getting their vehicles.
