A bit dated but good value

stevebintley (Bedford, United Kingdom) on Jun 30, 2026

I had a decent four night stay here and although the rooms are getting a bit dated, everywhere was clean and it offered good value for the location. I found checking in a little disappointing, since early in the evening there were no staff present and the only option was via a machine. Admittedly it didn’t take too long but there was no opportunity to ask questions and the size of the property meant I had to take a photo of the instructions on how to find the room. It was a long walk to the room but the elevators were always fast, plus the benefit of being in a further tower was that you couldn’t hear the noise from Fremont Street during the day or night. There also was no noise from the adjacent rooms or corridors either. The twin room was spacious and clean, although starting to feel a little dated with the furniture. There was no coffee machine or kettle, but plenty of bottled water was kept stocked each day. The air conditioning was very effective but noisy, with the unit below the window, and the TV was a good size and the wifi worked well. The bathroom was a good size too but also a little dated. The bath had developed yellow stains from the age but was at least clean. There were plenty of towels and toiletries in dispensers on the wall, but little else in terms of amenities. Overall it was a comfortable hotel that offered good quality sleep and, if you’re not looking for frills or the height of modernness, I’d recommend.

HORRIBLE check-in experience

Liz9112 (Huntington Beach, California) on Jun 29, 2026

My family and I went this past weekend and arrived around 1:30pm the lady at check-in said that normal check-in was at 3pm to please return then or to pay $33 and some change for early check-in but that wouldn't guarantee a room would be available. My family and I told her we would grab food and come back at 3pm like she stated. We come a little after 3pm and our rooms still are unavailable. Same girl states that it's because it's a busy weekend and check-in time was normally 4pm. We proceed to leave our luggage with bell services and go walk around. We come back around 5pm to be safe and AGAIN our room was still NOT available and the lady from check-in that told us to come back after 3pm then after 4pm is now off. I proceed to ask Hannah who is now the young lady at check-in for help and she informs me that I need to speak to a manager because what's happened is out of her hands. I ask Hannah to please call for a manager because at this point we are very upset. The manager named Claudia comes out and I try to explain to her what's going on to see if she could help us. Claudia the manager tells me she can't help me that it HAS to be Hannah who has to help me because Hannah is the one with the ipad and walks away. I go back to Hannah and she apologizes and says that she can't help me that it should have been Claudia. Hannah then calls for another manager and no one is available or in sight. At this point it is almost 6pm and still no one is helping Hannah help us. Mind you Hannah was so sweet and kept composure when other guests were at her throat for the same issue. She was literally trying to help 6 or more people at once all while keeping a smile. As we wait for a different manager We see another lady elegantly dressed with a name tag from Golden Nugget walk by and we ask for her help. Amanda was her name. So Amanda informs us that she is the VIP Guest attendant but that she would gladly help us. Thankfully we were able to check-in with help from Amanda. So this is just to say HORRIBLE customer service from Claudia, but many THANK YOUS to Hannah and Amanda. So thankful for their help. They both helped with a smile and with the upmost patience.

It was great

Barbara J on Jun 24, 2026

We stayed at the rush tower the first time we went to Las Vegas and we had a very nice room. The bed was very comfortable. Theview was not all that there was a big air-conditioner outside the window but the room was very comfortable. The second time we stayed at the Carson which was not as comfortable as the rushed tower, but we will stay again in the rush tower only we went in November December and back again in January and we’ll be back again in November

Shark pool is out of order

MeganLAM (California) on Jun 20, 2026

I really liked the location on Fremont st. The casino was very lively and the vibe was way more fun than the strip has been lately. We arrived very early like 10a and figured we’d drop our bags or pay to check in early. The woman at the kiosk told us they were offering early check in for only $20 so that was good. We checked in and then she said “oh your room isn’t ready. It may be earlier than 4p and if not you’ll get your $20 back” …. Ok. We went to lunch and walked around but by 230p we were tired. There’s no lobby to sit. No chairs anywhere. So I asked the desk if there was any rooms available. They said “oh yours is ready”. It was 3p by now so we still paid the $20. The good news about the room is the water and coffee maker. The bad was the wet carpet and tiny tv. It was a huge room and a teeny tv that you could barely see. We laughed. Like others have said it is hard to get a receipt emailed to you. If you have to expense it or just want a receipt I suggest stopping at the desk on your way out. The biggest bummer is the pool. They have a great pool with an aquarium but I guess it broke and it’s closed. Now it’s just a shallow boring small pool. They aren’t really advertising its closure or offering cheaper rates. Had we known the pool was like this we would have booked at Circa. Do your research before you book.

Great place. Plenty of positives. One negative.

I’ve never stayed downtown or been in the area. Usually stay at the Cosmo or the Palazzo. They have self service kiosks to check in which were easy enough to use. Also they give you the option of upgrading if you wanted. Reasonable rates for upgrade. I had a room in the Gold Tower which was refreshed. It was a nice room overlooking the pools. Everything was clean and the King bed was comfortable. No noise issues as I’ve read in other reviews but one night when they were using a pressure washer to clean the pool deck. The Casino was great. Nice and clean and friendly dealers. Lilian was a great blackjack dealer and made it fun even when you weren’t doing well. Lots of food options also. Also the waitresses came around frequently offering comp drinks which was nice. My complaint was I never had my room cleaned and no water was replaced (4 bottles a day) until the last night when I called housekeeping to get them. They were going to come clean my room after I called but I was a single traveler and pretty beat after playing in a golf tournament with temperatures in the 105 to 108 range. If I was with my wife or family not having housekeeping would be an issue. Location was great. Fremont Experience is that for sure. Overall I liked it a lot. I’d come back again. Fun place. Pool great also even though the shark tank wasn’t open.
