Golden Nugget service

The front desk service employees were wonderful to work with. They were able to upgrade our room and to have it quiet at night.
I probably wouldn't stay there again and I'm not that picky

It was 2:15 when I arrived for my stay. I asked about an early check in 45 minutes before. For 30 dollars I decided to wait next to the employee controlling the empty line. 15 minutes later I was watching people gather at the front counter. I asked her all those people checking early and paying 30 bucks extra? She said no they waived the fee. Oh, thanks for telling me being the first one there. I booked a Carson tower room then got the big up sale to stay at the Rush tower. No thank you. The room was clean yet an older musty smelling room. The bed was super comfy and slept like a baby Thurs and Fri night Saturday was thumping music, but I put in some high frequency ear buds in which they helped. I left the bathroom fan on because I could smell sewer gas coming from the vent. The light bulb was missing from the lamp by the desk. I called housekeeping because my remote wouldn't work on the tv and they brought up a new one. What a chore, my hand still hurts because you had to push the buttons really hard to make them work. Most of the chairs at the pool were empty but reserved so I couldn't sit down anywhere. After dipping my toes, I left the pool area. The resort fee is for what? I went to the bar and put a 20 in and after playing for a little bit I asked for a beer. He wouldn't give me a free one until I played the whole 20 dollars which the other places next door was not like that. I then asked for a bottle of water, and he said six bucks. Needless to say, I spend my eating, gambling and drinking at the 4 queens and Binnions for the next 3 days.
Don’t stay here!

Are usually do not leave a review, but this trip really upset me. I’ve stayed here multiple times and not a problem except the last two times. This last time we were told if we wanted to check in an hour before the huge line starts, we would have to upgrade so of course we did. We were promised a better room. Well that was falls. It was a horrible room with broken blinds so you were woken up at 5 AM Every morning for three days. No one came and fixed it even though we complain multiple times. The best was to get a chair at the pool had to pay $50. So we rented to and guess what when we came back from lunch, the chairs were gone and taken, and the manager would not give us a refund or do anything about it. Completely miserable. They charge you a “resort fee” what the hell is that for if you have to pay for chairs at the pool?
Nice place to stay

It was a nice place. Our room was clean and the outside noise that they warned you about didn't really affect us on the 4th floor pool side. They need more of the hotel restaurants to open earlier. We ate at Claim Jumpers and the food was very good. didn't have time to go to the pool but it looked nice and had a cool shark tank. The concierge office was great and helped with anything we needed. Having to go across the street to the 2nd floor of the parking garage to get a Lyft or Uber was a little inconvenient but you got use to it and I guess having the cars pull up to the front doors would make it a little congested. Freemont Street was right out the door and a really cool place to stroll. You see all kinds of crazy things and the canopy that covered the street was pretty cool to watch with all the different videos it was showing. The one thing is that since it is in Downtown you are away from the strip and will need to get a ride. To far to walk. All in all is was a good experience.
Cockroaches and mold

The room had no bag stand, phone didn’t work, cockroaches crawling on walls and ceiling (8th floor), mold in shower and tib peeling.
