The Strat Hotel,Casino and Tower
Jannette W on May 08, 2026
The STRAT Hotel, Casino & Tower anchors the north end of the Las Vegas Strip at 2000 S Las Vegas Blvd, offering 2,427 renovated rooms, an 80,000-sq-ft casino, the revolving Top of the World restaurant, and adrenaline-pumping tower rides like Big Shot, X-Scream, SkyJump, and Rouge. The property is easily accessible via the Deuce bus line, ride-share, or on-site parking. Amenities include a fitness center near the hotel rooms, the WET24 rooftop pool and bar on the 24th floor with panoramic views, and convenient dining options such as McDonald’s on the second level and Starbucks on the ground floor. Top of the World remains the signature dining experience, offering 360 degree views from over 800 feet above the city. In front of the STRAT’s main gate sits one of the city’s most photographed spots, the iconic “The city of Las Vegas” sign, while the newer 80-foot Showgirl Gateway Arches stand at 1810 Las Vegas Blvd South, marking the entrance to Downtown Las Vegas. These vibrant showgirl statues and arches complement the STRAT’s position as a visual landmark on the Strip. Together, the tower attractions, rooftop pool, dining, and surrounding photo-worthy icons make the STRAT a distinctive stop for both thrill-seekers and casual visitors exploring the north Strip and downtown corridor.
Dated but pleasant

We booked the iconic Stratosphere for our first visit to Vegas, at the end of the strip its tower can be visible for miles. On entering the hotel it’s typically Vegas full of bright lights and fruit machines. There were several eateries available including a McDonalds, Starbucks, pizzeria and a wings restaurant. We chose a newly renovated room on a non-smoking floor. We used the self check in on arrival which was straight forward and easy. Our room was on the 17th floor of the North Tower. Lifts were regular and quick. The floor was relatively quiet. On entering our room we found it was spacious, with a large comfortable bed, modern artwork, a coffee maker, iron and ironing board, digital safe, empty mini fridge and hairdryer. Although supposedly newly renovated, it was in need of some TLC. The headboard was worn, toilet roll holder broken and generally the walls could have done with a freshen up. The air-con unit had seen better days and had a mind of its own. When we needed it to work it failed too and yet other times was constantly going off. The bathroom was compact, but serviceable. Nice touch with toiletries provided. The room was serviced each day, beds made, fresh towels provided. Housekeeping did a more than adequate job. The pool area was on the 8th floor. It had ample sun loungers, waitress service for drinks and food and a good sized pool. I’d advise bringing your own towels as the ones provided were super thin and extremely small. On the only day we used it, we tried to order food but were informed the menu was less than half on offer because they had an event on, which was disappointing. The observation deck didn’t disappoint with its views, especially at night. Well worth a visit. Would we stay again - yes.
Tired

Tired but worth the view. I went up with locals, which meant with loyalty cards you dont need to pay. You would be disappointed if you paid. The view is good, though otherwise old and tired and not in a great part of time.
Jaylee is amazing.

Jaylee was so welcoming and helpful, we made an error on our reservation, she went out of her way to fix something WE did wrong, accommodated several of our requests and was just a delight. We had a terrible experience at a nearby hotel and we absolutely did the right thing switching to the Strat. Thank you to Jaylee!
Very pleased with our stay

Got this as a budget option for Vegas without going as low as circus circus. It ended up being a beautiful room, great AC, TV all that jazz. For the price and quality I was ticketed with this option.
