We chose to stay at The Strat because of the location being away from the central strip and close to the arts district. The public transport links are fair for this hotel, served close by for the RTC Deuce, Downtown Loop and rideshare. On arrival and during the our stay the hotel was busy with a good atmosphere. We had booked a updated room, and were given the north tower on the 16th floor. Although by close to the lifts, we could not hear them once inside. The room was clean, but a little tired in some areas already, the carpet, some areas of wall paper and the aircon did not seem to have been updated with the rest of the room. The aircon unit was extremely noisy, but we had no choice but to use this with temperatures over 40c. The halls on the floor were generally quiet, some noise could be heard if others were being loud. We were woken on the last night by noisy neighbours very much enjoying their stay! All staff we interacted with were polite and helpful, we had a locked safe on arrival and maintenance arrived within an hour to resolve this. Strat Cafe was basic but provided a buffet style breakfast if you needed it. The late night deals at the bar were great although the staff a little unresponsive. A McDonalds is on site. The social pool was closed for a private event, but the Wet24 pool was enough for us, providing somewhere to chill and cool down. The casino had varied slots, we did not bet at the tables. Guests can visit the tower at a reduced price, it is worth the view! The on site gym, was very tired and too hot to work out in. We tried and had to give up quick as it was too uncomfortable. Overall, a nice stay, but we would consider looking hotels if we are to return.

Worst hotel stay of my life. We switched rooms 3 times within the first 24 hours of getting there. They switched us out of our first room after we found some kind of disgusting lube on the lamp and all over the phone, our second room (an upgrade) seemed better until we went to use the safe the next morning and found a used m*th pipe in it, our 3rd room had TOENAILS all over the floor, and our 4th room (upgraded to a mini suite) didn’t have a working air conditioner. They had to send a maintenance guy to come install a new one. The fourth room was not very clean either but I was done dealing with the moving. We lost half a day of our vacation packing and unpacking in 4 different rooms. They gave us a $50 food voucher. It wasn’t until our key stopped working for the 3rd time in our 4th room that I asked for some sort of compensation ($50 in gross food just isn’t worth the half day of vacation we lost) and she offered to wave a couple days of resort fees (so $100?) I still haven’t gotten that money back so who knows if she was telling the truth…. all the staff were very nice and apologetic so that’s good. I’ve included photos below. Every room was disgusting, the hallways disgusting, even the elevators we gross. DO NOT STAY HERE.

A positive experience, contrary to what some have posted.

I have stayed at this location 5 times in the last few years (most recent 8/24 to 8/31/26) so clearly my rating is based on multiple experiences. I stay central tower in an elevate room. I am male, older than 65 for some background. Room: I think they are more than adequate. Clean, nice desk area, large bath, king sized bed, well lit and more than adequate storage for clothing, mini fridge and in room safe. Casino: Good variety of slots for the slot player. Only crapless craps unless playing electronic. Plenty of blackjack tables, however, the number of tables open is clearly dependent on expected crowd size. Dealers are friendly and professional and very helpful for a beginner player. In House Shows: Saw all 3 this trip, Ikons of Rock, Rouge and LA Comedy. Thoroughly enjoyed all. And for those who may think Rouge is a bit too risque for their taste please give this a chance. The show is outstanding and the burlesque part is really secondary to the choreography and performances. I was ready to go see it a second time this trip but will go again next time for sure. Food: Ate exclusively at Strat Cafe for breakfast and PT Wings for lunch/dinner. Never disappointed. And try the steak and potatoes at PT's. It is outstanding and you will not find a steak like that anywhere on the strip for that price. Ask for Veronica. She's the best. People: One reason I keep coming back to this place is the people. Everyone is really nice and welcoming. I would be remiss if I did not mention Alex in the Cafe. What a sweetheart of a woman aside from her professional work ethic. Its like I've known her for ages. And on the casino floor Andrea. I'm a not so "secret" admirer. She is that once in a lifetime person that can make the entire trip pure magic. Kind, funny, hard working (beautiful too, just saying). Tell her Al Capone says "hi" and he misses her already. If for no other reason I would come back to the Strat just to see them. The only downer: Billing this time was a nightmare. Multiple corrections to what I was being charged that required 3 interactions with hotel personnel. I stay at hotels in a lot of different states and I always know what I'm going to pay (including taxes and fees) before I get there. Here is like a big darn mystery. And add to that the resort fees (which are outrageous) its no wonder that Vegas is having trouble drawing traffic. If there is an area that needs improvement billing is it. I gave the place a 5 because I think it deserves it. Is it 5 star hotel, no. But it has everything you need to have a comfortable and enjoyable time. There are people who question the north end of the strip location but I have never encountered any trouble day or night. Personally I prefer being away from the mayhem that is more common central strip. Strat gets something of a bad rap and I have to disagree.

I reserved my room and requested and upgrade was told over the phone they could upgrade when I got there it was a different story. I and my sister have a heart condition and they had no belle service as well as we couldn't even get a bell cart ourselves to do it! Then we get in the room and had a baby in tow and the fridge was broke no microwaves. The first night we were woke up by screaming and a hooker and guy fighting. The kids pool was closed and the parking was 25 a day. Next, apparently they put us in a smoking tower and it was such a harsh marijuana smell. Over all it was such a nasty hotel to stay in I Don't recommend it at all! Period upon calling front desk everyone was rude. Only, staff that was courteous was valet and housekeeping. Please Don't even bother giving them your business so not worth it. Starbucks was 5 dollars higher then anywhere else. Just not worth it!
