Very long queues and not enough staff

jaynell (South Shields, United Kingdom) on Jul 20, 2024

My partner and I stayed here for 2 nights. The positive was the view of the strip from our room on 35th floor. The negatives were the unbelievably long wait in line to check in as there were only a handful of staff and at least 100 people in line. Same thing when we checked out. One member of staff at the desk even though there were about 10 checkout stations. We waited 30 minutes and the same guest was still at the desk being checked out. We had a flight to catch and there were 8 guests in front of us so in the end we just left without validating our member points or checking out officially. It seems there are lots of casino staff but hardly any customer service staff and the security staff at the elevators were rarely there. We will choose another hotel next time.

High fees for bad services

Juan F on Jul 20, 2024

Wifi wasnt working on the first night. We reported it 3 times and they didnt fix it till the next day. The safe in the room was not working either. These services were bad considering the fees are very high for them. Everything else was okay……..

No water

cj5crawler (Oceanside, California) on Jul 17, 2024

Our room did not have running water in the sink, toilet, nor shower. Currently on a very long hold with the front desk for a resolution.

Ok stay.

jessica o (Phoenix, Arizona) on Jul 17, 2024

Room was clean but the water pressure in the morning is horrible. Could barely shower because water wouldn’t come out and toilet wouldn’t even flush. Also Resort fee is way too high and pool is way too small. It doesn’t even feel like a resort. If anything they should charge $25 optional fee instead of $50.

The Smelly Stay

Shamini S (Toronto, Canada) on Jul 16, 2024

We've stayed at Treasure Island before and found the quality of the hotel has substantially decreased. Let's start with the noticeable smell as soon as you enter - it's gross. The lobby area smells like a mix of of sewage, smoke and sweat. We walked into many other hotels and yes while it was smoky, it's not pungent. Next is check in - We were a large group, staying for 4 nights and the only accommodation we asked was to stay on the same floor. A request completed to link the bookings together to better accommodate our needs. We were on a late flight and when we arrived to check-in, not only were we not together, we did not get the King beds we requested. I also did the online check-in and it said I was getting a King bed but was told to go to the front desk vs. kiosk as we were a large group. We were also asked to go down the next morning between 11-1 for a possible room change. We did that and while they were serving my friend, the rep said that there were quite a few rooms. Once she finished with my friend's room change, maybe 5 minutes, all of a sudden there were no more rooms available. The rooms are not spacious, and the beds are a double - quite small and not comfortable for long stays. The plumbing and shower pressure in the room was unbearable. Next is room service, we did not get room service for 2 days and then was told that we have to call for room service on weekends , yet room service was at our door EARLY on check-out day - we had to turn them away twice and ask that they come back at 11am (actual checkout!). Minor inconveniences were the safe was locked from previous checkout so that took some time to get unlocked, and the iron was not working - but both were resolved. The internet also keeps dropping, had to keep reconnecting. The casino itself could use a deep clean and upgrade, a lot of the slot machines were sticky and/or not working. Overall would not recommend or stay here again. For a little bit more money, there are nicer hotels on the strip - we were a group of 12, but lesson learned for next time.
