Vegan Options, Pool Shade in the Morning, Exterior Starbucks is Faster than Interior, Use Self-Check In.

I would definitely stay at Treasure Island again. The room rate was the best around for what you get - close to the action, clean, comfortable room (although no microwave or coffee maker in the room, but there IS a hair dryer), beautiful pool, friendly staff, self-check-in/checkout, and onsite food available (even vegan options). Go to the pool early when they open and you'll find plenty of seating in the shade. And the music they play in the morning isn't too loud. Around midday there's no shade and the music is loud. TI is practically across the street from The Venetian, which is a must-see. There is a Subway restaurant about 5 minutes walk away (this is important for vegans on a budget - they have the veggie patty!). Interestingly, the onsite Starbucks always had a line of people waiting to buy stuff, but if you walk to the Starbucks that's outside the building, literally just feet away, there's no line at all and you get served immediately. Super long line to check in at the main lobby when we arrived around 3:30 p.m. on a Friday, so we read the posted signs and walked around the corner to the self-check-in area and waited a significantly shorter time to check in and get to our rooms.

Will Not Book Again

elizabeth p on Aug 01, 2026

The hotel is outdated and understaffed. We waited almost an hour to check in and they did not have the correct room ready. When we both woke up the next day sneezing and coughing, I noticed the filthy air vent in the bathroom. The room was hot and did not cool well, if at all. I paid for a late check out on the last day and our keys stopped working before our checkout time and then had to wait another 45 minutes to get back in our room-almost missed our flight home. The hotel itself is what you pay for but the customer service was terrible.

Major AC issues

WesternMA on Jul 28, 2026

The AC is NOT working. We had engineering in our first room twice and could not fix it. In addition to the AC issue we had to call about the toilet not flushing. We changed rooms, moving to another floor and different side of the building and it’s not much better. Engineering has been to the new room twice and it’s still hot. Waking up in the middle of the night sweating is not what I expect on a vacation. The staff is all really nice and it’s is clean but the inability to provide adequate AC issue a major issue. They also charge for everything here. We bought drinks in the casino and tried to bring them to the pool in plastic cups and that was not allowed. If you want shade you have to pay for it. No microwave in our room to reheat leftovers and the fridge is also all frozen and not cooling as it should.
