Angel at the main pool was excellent! Great service! Fast and friendly! The resort is huge but the golf carts are quick and convenient. Food is excellent. The market is amazing!

We stayed in the Monte Cristo, phase 1, and we had a second unit at the sunset building 24. This is my millionth time staying here (I have owned here since 2009) and yet again I am blown away! When we first arrived at our unit, there were a few things not working or left like it was in mid maintenance. I called the concierge and it was taken care of within a day. I am impressed with their prompt responses and availability. Our butler and cleaning ladies were top notch and were always available when needed. I am such a fan of the gentlemen who run the taxis and shuttles. They’re so nice, ready to help, and have a smile to offer. I really loved working with Luis, Jaciel, Joel, and Yenso. Also, just a tip for anyone who is considering renting a car vs doing taxis. Take the taxis from the resort, it’s so much wait and so much more affordable in comparison to renting a car. We took a private taxi to Costco and brought back $1400 in food and Angel, the amazing guy who took us and WAITED, was so helpful packing the car and bringing into our unit. For those of you who haven’t stayed here, this is the best advice I can give. -Trust the taxis at the resort over anywhere else -uber in town back to the resort is great, just stay on app. -if you have a large group, do Costco for everyone vs the all inclusive. If you have a small Group, the all inclusive makes more sense. -if staying in a monte cristo, Costco makes more sense then the all inclusive, period. -take tons of $1 bills. You should tip your drivers, wait staff, cleaners, butlers etc. Every time I take a shuttle or a golf cart, I give them a few bucks. It makes the world of difference to them and hardly a dent to you. -be kind and courteous to the staff there. PLEASE. They are so kind and they work insanely hard to make a barely live able wage. All inclusive does not mean you get to slight the people working for you. Otherwise, what a fantastic place. I’ll be back again next year.
