Absolutely revolting hotel. Dirty floors, EXTREMELY incompetent and RUDE staff. Management is even worse.
Window in the room was absolutely FILTHY could barely see through it. HAIRS all over the sheets. MOLD in the shower. DIRT on the floors.
POOL area should be condemned, disgusting.
Moncton has better options. Hampton Inn is beautiful.
Old, Poorly Maintained and OverPriced

Stayed here for a hockey tournament and the hotel did a great job of providing space for parents and teams to socialize in the conference rooms thereby keeping the parties out of the rooms. The hotel was reasonably quiet given that it was full of kids' hockey teams.
The staff were all friendly and helpful.
Reasonably good gym and a pool for the kids.
Very long line for check-in, and some team members waited over an hour to get checked in.
Only two elevators for a very large building and they are poorly maintained. One went out of service and the other had door-closing issues creating very long waits.
Mini fridge in the room failed, causing the loss of our weekend's tournament food.
Parking is outrageously priced for a small city. $17/day.
Room rates were also excessive for an old building.
Building is showing its age with old ceilings, old carpets and small windows
Overall I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. There are much newer, nicer hotels in downtown Moncton that are priced the same or better.
DISSAPOINTING HOTEL AND SPA
(Montreal, Quebec, Canada)
Jan 07, 2023
Hotel (and Spa) was OVERPRICED and DISSAPOINTING. I STRONLY SUGGEST TAKING A PASS ON THIS PROPERTY, CHANCES ARE YOU WILL NOT GET YOUR MONEY'S WORTH (go to Chateau Moncton instead). One would think the hotel would gain in 'wowing' first time guests but not these guys. The hotel was empty throughout our mid-week stay yet out of all available views, we were offered a FULL GARBAGE VIEW with the added bonus of being woken up at 5h40am by the back up alarm and KLING KLANG of the garbage truck making its rounds. The basic room was too SMALL for a couple, we felt CRAMPED throughout our 3 night stay. The PILLOWS were tired and fell FLAT quickly which made them HARD, we both woke up SORE.The room was UNCLEAN (hairs in shower, garbage found near the bed..). Amenities were UNREPLENISHED (in-tub shower gel bottle completely empty, 1 empty roll + half a roll of toilet paper were left with no extra backup). Other amenities were completely missing and when we mentionned this to the reception manager she promptly apologized and had half of it sent to the room (I had to ask again for the rest of it). The POOL area was DIRTY and UNINVITING, our bathing suits stayed in our suitcases. All in all, our stay at this location was a FAIL and the inhouse OPAL SPA service was UNSATISFACTORY. I was not given the service I originally booked and had to pay for it anyway. I thought the esthetician was working her way up to it but next thing I knew the treatment was over and I had absolutely not received what I had ordered. At time of booking, I was led to believe that what I wanted was automatically included in the service selected but once all was said and done, the staff infomed me that what I wanted was extra and needed to be added in the notes at time of booking (which was not done by the spa). I calmly voiced all of this and yet the ESTHETICIAN DID NOTHING TO REMEDY THE SPA'S ERROR . I didn't feel like fighting it so I paid and left. In the end, we decided not to press our luck further and cancelled our Windjammer restaurant reservation for fear of being left feeling like real suckers yet again. This spa retreat ended up being more frustrating than rejuvenating. WE WILL NOT BE RETURNING TO HOTEL OR SPA.
Rude staff at every step
Dec 28, 2022
Was hoping for a quiet and refreshing stay while on a layover in Moncton. What a disaster. #1, RUDE FRONT DESK STAFF. RUDE, RUDE, RUDE. Plain and simple. Unprofessional at every step. Had to change rooms due to uncleanliness. Sheets had a stain. Bathroom sink didn't drain. Carpets filthy. Dark hallways. FILTHY and REVOLVTING pool area, totally unacceptable. This hotel should seriously be condemned

My family and I booked a night stay for Friday, November 11th. On Tuesday, Nov. 8th there was a weather alert for all Maritime provinces about sever rain warnings and high winds. We decided to cancel the reservation and would rebook a another time since we are travelling with a 5 month old and a 2 year old.
Well, when we cancelled the reservation came up non refundable… so I called and asked why since it was 3 days in advance and was told there was nothing they could do. So I asked if I could simply reschedule the booking since that was our intention anyways. I was told it would need to be requested to management and they would get back to me in 3-5 days. Well it’s been a week now and I’ve called back 2 more times. They have told me that they didn’t even have record of my initial request and that there’s nothing they can do.
BUT they said if I would have rescheduled the booking in the first place it wouldn’t have been an issue. I explained that that’s all that we wanted but again was told someone would get back to me in a couple days.
The fact that we gave 3 days notice, have called multiple times, AND there was a public weather warning hasn’t seemed to make a difference. Just looking for some type of understanding and compromise. We can not control the weather and we have tried to find a solution but frustrated that no one is getting back to us and refusing to allow us to reschedule.
