Awesome butler service
dsap198 (Houston, Texas) on Mar 07, 2026
Alain & Andre are 1st class in the butler service they provide. I stayed @ JOIA Iberostar 2/25/26-3/2/26 and have been coming to this resort during the last 3-4 yrs. Alain & Andre make it a priority to visit with you multiple times during their shift to check if you have any needs, identify if you are celebrating any special events, inquire of your daily schedule (Talk), and share daily events even thought they send a detailed schedule via WhatsApp at beginning of their respective shifts. They always inquire about wife during solo visits and send her messages via me which she truly appreciates. They also acknowledge and offer assistance no matter our room assignments during solo or couple trips. Alain & Andre are always providing butler service above standard during my visits.

Beware - the ceiling of our shower fell onto the ground. Not a safe place to stay! See pictures.
Excellent resort, great rooms and exceptional concierge services.

We celebrated a 50th birthday girls trip and had an amazing experience at the resort. Nadika from guest services ensured that we were taken care of and provided us an excellent memory of the trip. The rooms are spacious and amazing and the choices of restaurants and event activities are excellent. We would definitely comeback again.
Short winter trip for a family wedding
mnofpeace123 (Fort Washington, Maryland) on Mar 03, 2026
My wife and i stayed there for a wedding in late Feb. for only 4 days. Our Suite with a king bed was very nice. very roomy, loved the balcony. even a pool view gives you a nice panorama of the beach and ocean. Room fridge stocked multiple times daily, along with multiple room checks for cleanliness, restocking, and turndown service. The Food here was the highlight, from jerk lamb, jerk chicken, all of the Jamaican stables, plus very well chef'd Japanese steakhouse fair. The beach grill was also great for lunches. Breakfast was the usual, but very fresh choices and eggs made to order. With no kids at JOIA, the beach was pretty peaceful and enjoyable. quiet, good swimming, tho cold at this time of the year. Pools were also a bit chilly, but super clean, multi-pool choices, and the canapy beds were great for relaxing. No blaring DJ music all day and night like at other spots. This place is mainly for an older crowd, 35-and up who also want a vacation without too many disturbances. special shout out to our concierge Jessica. She did her best to make us feel welcomed. This was just a short trip for the wedding, but i wouldnt hesitate to return
Didn't have to worry about my food allergies!

It was a lovely stay, as always! I have food allergies, and Chefs Fredy and Rodane took amazing care of me! They made sure I had delicious dinners every night.
