I didn't know what to expect because of the hurricane that hit late October of 2025. They did great in getting everything looking good. Staff was awesome. Alain and Andre were our butlers. They truly made our stay top notch. Went out of their way to say HI, let us know the activities of the day and helped us get to our restaurants. They truly made our vacation over the top. David and his entertainment staff was great too. Tried so hard to get ones involved and entertained. Have to say Aquaman did the best water aerobics. Daye who was visiting to 2 yoga classes a day and we enjoyed them. The view was beautiful from our ocean front room. The loby bar, and star Cafe was the other two places we enjoyed a lot. Dancing at night was great because of DJMO.. and after the white party.. FIREMAN was awesome . The food was average, but I have never been blown away at a all inclusive. As for the room and hallways and area effective by the storm. They start remodeling in June. Can't wait to come back after they are done remodeling. Last but not less, THE CAT RESCUE.. Joia was my third resort vacation in Jamaica. We were greeted with smiles and kindness. Our room wasn't ready yet so we were sent for a delicious buffet lunch at a restaurant by the beach. Beautiful views. The room was a suite with views of the pools and ocean. Very nice room. The beach was very nice, clean with comfortable lounge chairs. I enjoyed the food overall at the a la carte restaurants. The pool area was well maintained and comfortable. I really liked the gardens. I loved the wrap around balcony on the second floor. Great views of the resort. It had seating with tables and service. A huge thank you to Shamaine from the Café for starting my day with a big smile and the perfect latte! A shout out to Joselito for always welcoming us with a smile at the breakfast buffet. Christina from room services was so friendly and maintained our room with care. Shevion (not sure of the spelling) made the best mojito, he always checked on us making sure we were okay. My experience at this resort was pleasant and relaxing. However it really lacked entertainment...way too quiet!! It needed more entertainment around the pool. There was a day not even music until after lunch. There was after dinner entertainment in the lobby. Most of the 9:30 shows are in the theater, but it's closed in. The resort is closing for renovations June-December. Not sure if management is going towards a more laid-back crowd. The staff were always friendly. The cat sanctuary is amazing! Hats off to the ladies who run it!! I'm so happy I got to go back to Jamaica. ONE LOVE ??

We had such a wonderful experience at the hotel, and a big part of that was thanks to Travis and Georgina. From the moment we arrived, they made us feel genuinely welcome and at ease. Their friendliness, professionalism, and willingness to go above and beyond did not go unnoticed. Travis was incredibly attentive and always ready to help with a smile, while Georgina brought such warmth and positive energy that made our stay even more enjoyable. It’s clear they both take pride in what they do, and it truly made a difference in our overall experience.

The highlight of our trip so far has been our interaction with our concierge Travis. He is such a helpful, pleasant young man who has gone out of his way to make sure we are happy. The pools here are just lovely and nice temperature compared to chilly pools at other resorts. The beach is very clean and great for long walks. I will post another review at the end of our trip!

Radiant and Tanya at the concierge desk are my all times favorite staff. This resort is very big and full of fun all day. The food was delicious and well prepared.
