The worst experience ever, they ruined my proposal
Fanol N on May 16, 2026
We had to check in at 2 PM on and guess what we ended up checking in 6 PM because somehow they make the room and they gave our room to someone else even though, meanwhile, I have a gold status with a Marriott, the receptionist said that’s for the delay. They would give me a 15,000 point certificate which I never received because I wanted to check into a different hotel. That night I was supposed to propose to my girl which I ended up postponed and on top of that I didn’t get my point even though that will not make my satisfaction, but also I tried reaching them out. They never responded and this is the worst experience ever.
Well Situated, Badly Maintained

The hotel is very well located, but unfortunately it suffers from a some lack of maintenance. The rooms are poorly soundproofed – it feels like you’re right on the street. The breakfast area looks outdated, with chairs and sofas covered in stains of all kinds. The front desk staff spend most of their time on their phones, don’t greet guests, and show little empathy. On the positive side, the breakfast staff are attentive and friendly, and the beds are of good quality. The rooms are a bit old but kept clean. One last note: don’t even think of running the heating or AC at night – it’s far too noisy.
Don't stay there

This was the most disappointing Marriott property I have ever stayed at. The front desk staff were unprofessional and discourteous, which set a poor tone for the entire visit. The property itself was average at best; the only positive aspect was its convenient location. By contrast, my experience at The Shelbourne in Dublin, Ireland—a truly first-class Marriott hotel—was exceptional. I would strongly recommend that the staff at the SpringHill Suites receive hospitality training modeled after the outstanding service provided at The Shelbourne.
Perfect stay for a family

Spent a week here with 2 teens. We opted for the 2 queen beds and had a great view of the empire state building.. great location! Quiet hotel! Breakfast was the usual hotel breakfast..the only issue was the small eating area. You can't even move to get out of your chair or in between seats. After a couple of days, we just brought food to our room because it was so tight. Every staff member was welcoming and attentive to all our needs. Room was cleaned daily. Great experience! Hotel needs update

The location is great. However our room was terrible. Worn furniture, torn carpet, towels were super thin, non working electrical outlets, huge ceiling stains. I mentioned this to hotel staff and nothing was done. We used 4 nightly upgrades and were incredibly disappointed. We’ve stayed here many times but this will be our last.
