Nice hotel, universal kiosk in lobby, completely ignorant. Difficulty checking in.

The hotel itself was very nice, it was the ignorance of the staff and the universal team that made us have to laugh because otherwise we wanted to scream. My adult niece and I booked a package deal directly through Universal and chose this hotel. My niece was arriving approximately four hoursbefore me because my flight was much longer. When booking the package, I made sure that both of our names were on the package because I knew she would arrive prior to me The front desk seemed completely perplexed about finding her name on the reservation, even though she had printed out our reservation that showed the two names . The front desk woman who was helping her, even admitted that it was her first day, and she didn’t know what she was doing. They told myniece that she may just have to sit and wait in the lobby until I arrived, even though that was going to be four hours later. then they told her that if I called them, then they would let her check in and she had to explain to them that I was a plane and couldn’t pick up the phone. She eventually got to talk to a manager who looked at the reservation and saw her name and did eventually check her in. Our other issue was with the universal desk. When we booked our package directly with Universal Studios, I made sure that we had early park admission, which is part of booking the package, but the people at the universal desk had no idea what we were talking about. They told us that we definitelydid not have early park admission because it’s not offered at this hotel, even though it was literally printed on our tickets which we showed the person. They argued with us that they even would not put us on the early shuttle because there was no way that we had early park admission. Upon my arrival, I ended upcalling universal directly who assured me that we had early Park admission. I just can’t believe the arrogance of the person at the universal desk who never even did any research but basically just told us that were wrong right to our face.

Great customer experience!

I recently stayed at this hotel and had a fantastic experience! The check-in process was incredibly easy, and they kindly accommodated my request for an early check-in. I loved the welcome cookies—such a nice touch! Even checking out cookies were offered too! The room was clean, and the breakfast was delicious with great options. The amenities were impressive, and the free shuttle service to Universal Studios was a huge plus. The staff, especially Pam and Kaina, were always smiling and incredibly helpful. I’m already looking forward to my next stay!

Convenient and Clean!

This is a great place to stay and especially if you’re going to Universal. Maybe 10 minute (very safe) walk. The real shinning star here is how clean the rooms are and how much care the cleaning folks take with the rooms. Shout out to Maria T. for room 1435! I always bring my blanket and she made it into a bow ???? the room was spotless! I’ve stayed in the downtown Tampa Hilton with the same blanket and no bow. It’s those little extra things that make your stay so nice! Thank you, Hilton for this one. This location is killing it!

Nice hotel with friendly staff. They were only too happy to answer any questions I had. Kaina at the front desk was awesome! The music round the pool was wonderful

They Cancelled With Zero Notice

Myself and other members of my extended family booked 4 separate rooms at this hotel months in advance. 2 of the rooms for my family members were cancelled by the hotel via email the day before the stay. I never received a cancellation, and my reservation was in fact never cancelled…they ended up just having no room available for us. We arrived late after a long day at Universal. It seemingly took the staff forever to identify they had no available rooms (30 min) while my wife and tired young kids waited in the car. Finally after me pushing for an answer they conceded they did not have a room for me. Only after I became heated did I get offered a comped room at a hotel 15 min away. We ended up going there, not getting settled till 1:30am and separated from the rest of our family that we needed to travel with the early the next morning. 0/10, do not stay here…because there’s a chance you won’t even get to stay here. They ultimately cancelled 3 rooms on us. 2 of them the day before our stay and the last one with zero notice at all.
