DO NOT STAY HERE - Mechanical noise and rude management

I am currently staying at Dockside Inn, and it has been a distressing experience. Room 2831 has a severe, constant low-frequency mechanical hum (transformer-like vibration) that makes it impossible to sleep. The management's response was unacceptable. They sent an elderly staff member to "inspect" the room—someone who clearly couldn't hear the low-frequency noise due to age-related hearing loss. When I asked for a solution, the manager repeatedly told me "Good night" in a dismissive, mocking tone instead of helping. This is pure gaslighting. They are forcing guests to stay in uninhabitable rooms with mechanical defects. The vibration causes physical discomfort and ear pressure. Do not let the "Universal" brand fool you; the service here is non-existent. I have recorded the noise levels and will be filing a formal complaint with the Florida DBPR and my credit card company for a chargeback. Stay away if you value your health and rest!
STAY HERE- GO TO PARK ALL DAY - CLEAN YOUR OWN ROOM!!!!

Housekeeping came before we left for park. I asked them to come back in half hour. They didn’t clean my room on day 2 of a 3day reservation. I called front desk around 4 to have them clean it before their shift ended at 6. Front desk said they would. The housekeeping never cleaned it. Just knocked on door and said sorry we can’t clean it today. Do you want towels? Unacceptable for what I paid for the room.
Hotel completely ruined our Universal Vacation

We checked in on 4/10 in the evening and Isabella who checked us in told us that we would get early access and express passes at universal parks including Epic Universe (we specifically asked about the express pass at Epic Universe as this was the entire reason we chose this property. When we arrived at the park the next day, we were informed that the hotel gave us incorrect information and that it did not include the express pass option. Upon speaking with hotel management about this misinformation, we were brushed off and they didn’t do anything to rectify the mistake they made. There were two blood stains on our curtains and the breakfast market had expensive tasteless food which was highly disappointing. I wouldn’t have stayed here with my family had we known this information upfront. We were really looking forward to enjoying Epic Universe and this misinformation provided by the property severely impacted our entire Universal experience. I would highly recommend staying elsewhere and double check with the property before checking in to avoid issues with misinformation about express pass to universal parks.
Nice but wouldn’t stay again

We checked in at 1am, and the lady at the desk wasn’t very friendly and seemed to take her time when we were clearly exhausted from a long travel day. Room was clean and nice, but very small. We had the two beds plus a bedroom, and it felt tight for me and my two teenagers. However, we are used to having a big condo. Loved having a starbucks in the lobby, pool was very nice, and there is a good (but pricey) cafe. The bus transportation was slow. When we we went to universal studios, we were excited to have the bus transportation. However when we left, our hotel had a line of about 50 passengers, and we waited about 40 minutes for the bus to arrive. Meanwhile all the other hotels with only a handful of people were getting bus service way more often. It was ridiculous! For that reason and the room size, I would not stay again.
Beware paying with a debit card

Checked in at the hotel and paid on arrival with a debit card. They took the £1760 charge but also took the same amount again as a holding charge leaving me with £150 in my account for the rest of my holiday. Met with indifference. Banks fault, take it up with them. Zero service. Stated they were aware this happens in a few cases, is a problem they are trying to rectify in future but absolutely no help to me now with several days of my holiday left and barely enough money in my account to buy my family lunch. Bank state this is down to universal and they can only cancel the holding charge with their authority. Even the lady at the desk (mildred) was embarrassed by the managers behaviour and complete lack of empathy.(Jean) His exact response " we arent witholding your money, the bank is" yes the bank is witholding it but on Universals authority. They have no need to enforce the holding charge as we have paid in full.... Expected far better from a company that is supposed to pride itself on its customer service and experience. This will ultimately sort itself via the banking process and the funds will return to my account but this is absolutely no help to me right now and has effectively ruined my holiday. Thanks Universal. Will make sure i book with disney if im fortunate enough to be able to return to florida in the future. Please be aware of this if paying on arrival with a debit card as Universal will take no responsibility and will do nothing assist or put the issue right. I expect they have committed some sort of civil 'tort' denying me access to my money and ill take this up when i get home.
