Excellent resort with hidden parking fees
D L (Keystone Heights, Florida) on Mar 26, 2026
My wife, two sons and I spent 4 nights at the Sheraton Vistana on I-Drive in Orlando in March 2026. With one exception, we were very pleased with the resort. Our two-bedroom villa was great. The two twin beds in one room was perfect for my sons. The jacuzzi tub in the master suite was heavenly. Marriott has eliminated all jacuzzi suites, so I think I will be staying at Sheratons from now on. The one exception was the hidden fee of $30 per car per day for parking. We had 3 cars for 4 days which resulted in a $360 hidden fee (plus taxes). I am not happy in general about surprise fees, but this was criminal. It felt like they were stealing from me. How can a hotel quote a price and fail to tell me in advance about another $360 charge!
RECONSIDER THIS RESORT

We had 2 couples stay here the night before we flew out of Orlando. Let’s just say the signage to get to the Welcome center is awful and the woman at the gate led us down a rabbit hole. Once we left the Welcome center the check in agent didn’t know one of the roads had been fenced off for construction and we were sent down a dead end street. Spent 30 minutes trying to find our unit. She easily could have sent us another way if only she had been trained and information shared. That is what I think the main issue is here……..the employees aren’t trained well enough. Not a Disney resort let’s just say. Also, we tried to order food from one of the restaurants. Ordered at 9:05pm still didn’t have by 10:15. Ended up cancelling our food and went without dinner. From what I learned the restaurant got busy and the only had one driver and most likely one cook. In the morning, we tried getting breakfast at another of the resorts restaurants and there was one server for the whole place. Realized we would be waiting forever. Still not over with the frustration. Then we went to the marketplace (same resort) to grab a coffee and pastry. Long line with only 2 people working there. Finally went to McDonalds and got service. What is shocking is that this is supposed to be a nicer resort with a lot of people staying here yet there was literally hardly any staff. When I come back for a vacation with my family we will stay at Disney or a newer resort with good reviews. AND when I checked out the agent said she would pass my comments on to management. Wow! Thank you. :(
Non smoking policy is not enforced…
USAtraveler365 (United States) on Feb 27, 2026
Marriott’s non smoking policy was not enforced by the security personnel. Smoking was taking place in public areas & amenities of the resort on a daily basis, and security would sometimes show up and not do anything about it or would not show up at all.
Extremely disappointed

DO NOT BUY INTO A VACATION CLUB/TIMESHARE EVER. It's just not worth all the money and disappointment. They don't explain things to you so I lost 27,000 points, she then gave me 500 club points with only a 60 day window to use them, I was not told that either. We have only used this timeshare once for 3 days. Over $6000 for nothing!!! They also don't tell you it's a mortgage. It's a scam
Great staff but just an average vacation club resort!

This is a mixed review. The good: the staff at the resort were great! Check-in was quick and easy, the staff at the restaurant and bar were very attentive, and we were always informed of what was happening at the resort during our stay. We participated in several activities at the resort such as the wine & chocolate tasting, trivia nights, and live music. Every event we attended was very enjoyable! The average: our one-bedroom unit was dated and needed repairs. The carpet was torn, the furniture was dated, and there were marks and scratches all over the walls, but overall the room meet or needs for the weekend. The food quality at the restaurant reminded me of a standard chain restaurant...not great, but edible. The bad: the sales presentation...which was OPTIONAL! Yep, I booked the 90-minute Marriott Vacation Club sales presentation to learn more about the program, and after 2.5 hours I finally got out of there. Never doing that again!
