I stayed here for 6 nights with the intent to visit all 4 Disney parks. I had stayed at the Hilton Signia on a previous trip to Orlando. This was my experience at Wyndham Grand Bonnet Creek/
The Property: The resort itself is massive, many pools to choose from and plenty to explore. Our first day on site we got to see many kinds of birds, fish, turtles and other wildlife native to Florida. The grounds are kept in good shape and sunsets are spectacular.
Rooms: Though the hotel was starting to show its age the room size was really good. We had a room with a balcony and we made good use of it.
Staff: For the most part, the staff was very friendly. Those working at front desk were very accommodating, our morning shuttle service driver Nelson was the highlight and put a smile on my face every morning and colourful characters like Carmelo add more than they detract from the whole experience. Top score to the housekeeping staff who were consistent in service and put a smile on our face every time we returned to our clean room from a long day at the parks or shopping.
Shuttle Service: The provided shuttle service is a bit of a joke. The schedule is terrible and if you miss a bus you're stranded for hours or need to pay high Uber charges to get back to your hotel. Considering this is a Disney neighbour friendly hotel the shuttles should run more frequently to accommodate guests.
The give and take: As mentioned in the title everything was inconsistent. On one hand the pools are great, we hung out at the main pool (Oasis pool) and after a while a terrible smell began to waft across the pool area, I later realized that the dumpsters are near the pool and when the sun hit the dumpsters the smell covered the entire pool area. As mentioned our morning driver was amazing but our evening driver Robert was a grump. He'd point out people's failures without ever admitting his own, I even tried to tip him once because we were the only people on the bus at the time (even though he was late picking us up) and when I tried to hand him the tip to show my gratitude he directed me to just drop it in the basket. I do think he felt bad about doing that. Poolside food service is a great option but it took over 45 minutes to arrive and it came in brown take-out bags plus they charged us an 18% service charge for it. I could have got the full service at the restaurant had I known it was going to take that long and cost that much.
Noise: Wyndham hosts a lot of conventions, I stayed 6 nights and saw at least 3 rounds of conventions at the time. There were rowdy drunk people at the bars, noise and yelling from other rooms, and every new round of people meant new energy and new noise levels.
Overall - I was disappointed in my experience here. With a positive came a negative. I can't recommend staying here if you're looking for a memorable experience that doesn't revolve around smells, noise, infrequent bus schedules, high prices, low quality food. but if none of that is a deal breaker for you. Then I'm sure you'll have a great stay.

Not a Disney Hotel!
Sep 27, 2023
This is not a Disney hotel! Don't be confused about this if you book on the Disney website. They do NOT offer early entry to the parks. They only have one shuttle for all 5 parks. We had to wait 3 hours for a shuttle back from Epcot our first day and, even worse, it took 1.5 hours to get from the hotel to Magic Kingdom the second day. If you have ever been to Disney, you know a 10:00 am arrival can really mess up your day. Do yourself a favor and book only actual Disney resorts, or better yet, just go to Universal.
Visit Back Bay Restaurant!

Definitely go to Back Bay restaurant during your visit! Great meal and amazing service- our waitress Pierina was so sweet and made us feel at home!
My wife and I had the chicken quesadilla and buffalo chicken wrap and both were fresh and delicious. Would definitely come again!
