New Exorbitant Parking Fees Will Not Work In Palm Desert!
Roving63906962867 on Jun 30, 2026
Insane new parking fee! $12 for three hours, $18 beyond. This is Palm Deserr not Beverly Hills and newly everywhere offers free parking including upscale El Cajon Paseo . I am platinum elite with Bonvoy and live close by. For many years I hosted business dinners at the resort and brought paying guests. The resort needs tons of renovations but until today many like me have overlooked it. Since 1987 this resort was a nice place to go to. They will lose a tremendous amount of business over this sheer greed. There are too many great options to go to in the Coachella valley. Good luck JW Desert Springs!
Wonderful Mother & Daughter Getaway

We checked in on June 13, 2026, and checked out on June 14, 2026, at JW Marriott Desert Springs Resort & Spa. The hotel was absolutely amazing! Our room was beautiful, and the bed and pillows were extremely comfortable, giving us a great night’s sleep. The resort is stunning, with beautiful grounds and shopping areas nearby. One of our favorite experiences was the boating. It was such a great idea, and the sunset views were breathtaking. The food and restaurants were excellent, and the sushi was especially delicious. My server provided outstanding service and made our dining experience even more enjoyable. We loved every moment of our stay and were so happy to be there. This was a perfect mother-and-daughter getaway, and we will definitely come back again—next time for an even longer stay! ????? Highly recommended!
Hertz at JW Marriot will leave you stranded

JW Marriott Desert Springs Resort & Spa Palm Desert Marriott Should Reconsider Hosting Hertz in Their Lobby 1064205928 The JW Marriott Palm Desert is a beautiful property with excellent staff, and my issue is not with the hotel itself. However, the Hertz rental desk operating inside the lobby is a serious problem — and it reflects on Marriott whether they intend it to or not. I had a fully pre-paid reservation with Hertz, arrived on time, and found their desk completely closed with no way to retrieve my car. The Marriott front desk was helpful and did what they could, but the rental operation inside their building was unprofessional, unresponsive, and dismissive. This is where Marriott’s responsibility comes in: When a business operates inside your lobby, guests naturally assume it meets your standards. If that business consistently delivers poor service — and Hertz’s reviews on Yelp, Google, and TripAdvisor show a long pattern of complaints — it doesn’t just hurt the renter. It reflects poorly on the hotel and creates more frustrated guests who trusted the Marriott brand. I hope Marriott reevaluates its partnership with this Hertz location. Everything else about the property is outstanding, but allowing a consistently problematic vendor to operate inside the hotel ultimately impacts the guest experience.
Very Comfortable Stay

Beautiful hotel with a lake partially in the giant lobby (including boats floating in). Room was a good size and beds were comfortable. We enjoyed our stay and the facilities were clean and nice. Small shopping center close by with additional restaurants.
First time here, will not be the last, coming back ASAP from Los Angeles!

I live in Los Angeles, travel a lot for work and this weekend I took my mom to the JW for a Mother’s Day long weekend. Everything was so excellent from the minute. I called to ask some questions about the property to the minute. We left to head to another Marriott in Riverside. Most excellent was Ruby the overnight manager, who gave us very realistic expectations of this resort and we were everything but disappointed!! We were nervous. There would be too many kids and we wanted a more quiet experience and turns out that was very possible with all there is available to us on this expensive property. Guillermo, who we thought was, the concierge was too exceptional and so we were not surprised when we learned he was actually the general manager. Veronica checked us in at the front desk and could not have been lovely air. We stopped for something to eat and drink in the lobby lounge bar and Veronica. the server treated us as though we had been here 1000 times. David, the manager of the very cool lobby Lounge bar experience was truuuult exceptional. He’s the guy you hope is the manager everywhere everywhere you go. The most delicious food on the property was definitely at MAIKADO, where Sean the Manager came by to introduce himself, which was quite nice. Lisa at the Rockwood Grill is likely one of the managers in food and beverage overall because she has been here since the beginning apparently and was really incredible. She managed the Mother’s Day brunch crowd like a true boss, and never seemed stressed or harried. Sal, our waiter at breakfast today kept checking in as if we were the only people there. Dawn, the manager at the spa is a class act and the place is really wonderful. Timothy at the spa pool and Jackie at the spa Bistro are only interested in making you smile and making you happy —which is really great when you need that after a very intense and long work week. The second we put our cup of water down Tim was refilling it. The minute we felt hungry Jackie was there with a menu asking if we wanted to order some of the delicious food at the Bistro. because of my titanium elite status, I got an upgrade to a suite and it was pretty fabulous. Giant room overlooking everything and I could not have loved it or needed it more. And if you want the most smiles, go to the Starbucks in the lobby because those girls seem to really dig their job. Can’t wait to come back.
