No customer relations at all

The worst resort I have ever stayed at got injured by the pool. They have offered me a little compensation. I was on crutches on and off for two weeks can never get a call back from their claims department. I made a final offer which was a total joke they would even give me a copy of the incident report without a subpoena, the gondola ride the water smelled the room was good. The grounds are kept up but it ruined my whole vacation getting severely injured on my shin by the pool by a bad slip and they don’t wanna do anything seriously about it. Have a triage nurse on site security team put on a bandage without any ointment couldn’t sleep. I couldn’t walk hardly ruined and they don’t even want to cover any expenses except $750 for seven nights stay for one year they laughed at it. Great customer relations I would never stay there or recommend this resort and Palm Desert ever again.

We had an amazing experience at this place. Heads up is expensive but worth. From the stay, to the facility to the staff all amazing. Just perfect for a getaway of any type super kid friendly. The spa is divine. Go do a complementary Duffy ride fun with some cocktails. Will be back for sure.
Mountain views by the Pool

We had the opportunity to stay at this resort for a few days. There was a conference happening so the hotel was quite busy. We were given a room - that took us abut 10 mins to get to...the farthest room from the main lobby. The room looked pretty dated and I was not happy being so far from everything even though we had requested a mountain view and we had that. So my husband went back the desk and asked for a new room. We were then given a terrible room where the TV was right in front of the drapes. When we pulled the drapes back, we were looking at a parking lot. I was so frustrated so I went back to the desk and I was told, they could not move us again. But then for some reason, she changed her mind and decided to give us a room in the main area - the hallways outside these rooms look down into the main hotel area. We still had a parking lot view but the room was a better location. The room was good - good pillows and comfortable bed. The shower was great - good pressure. But overall, the hotel is looking a bit rough - the furniture is a bit banged up and the rug in the room looks worn. The next day we went to the pool - we reserved chairs and an umbrella. we were greeted by our server Bianca - she was amazing - friendly and super helpful. She came out with a bucket of bottled water and made sure the bucket was always refilled with Ice. We got a bucket if beer and some lunch and it was really good. The temperature that day was about 110 degrees but the pool was cool and refreshing. Very nice day spent relaxing and looking at the mountains - Yes...I finally got my mountain view. I made reservations at Mikado - the Japanese steakhouse - Hibachi style. This was excellent - the chef was entertaining and the servers were all very attentive. The food was fabulous and I would highly recommend this for a nice dinner. Check out was fast and easy. The self parking in the parking garage is a bit far from the main hotel area.
ROACHES GALORE! 3 ROACHES!!

ROACHES in our room. Yes, specifically 3 ROACHES—at a supposed 5-star hotel! Oh and one flying roach. This isn’t your average household roach either we’re talking BIG HUGE ROACHES AND ONE WHICH I THINK IS THE MASTER ROACH WITH ITS FLYING WINGS! We’ve given this property several chances, despite terrible service and unacceptable conditions, simply because my husband loves the golf course. However, this time, it’s beyond repair. Finding roaches in a room is not just unacceptable—it’s disgusting. This is not what anyone should expect from a JW Marriott, especially those of us who have shown such loyalty to the brand. As Ambassador Elite members, we expect a certain standard, and this property has consistently fallen short. Management needs to seriously reassess what they consider "luxury." We WILL NEVER be returning, and I highly recommend reconsidering your stay here if you value cleanliness and service.
An Ok stay

It's an...Ok hotel. I think this hotel is way too big to be a JW? I guess? It doesn't feel as welcoming or personable. If this was a kids/family friendly resort I think I'd make more sense. I'd imagine the experience would be as close to the Ritz, but it was nowhere near that. The room I stayed in was very outdated, and the AC didn't seem to work. Lovely staff tho. I know they're trying their best but they seemed overworked. Oh and the screaming kids in the lobby didn't help either. Overall an Ok stay...
