Very exceptional & hospital Front Desk Service

MouMoney on Feb 07, 2025

Coleman was exceptionally delightful as we checked into our hotel. It was for my mom’s birthday and as soon as I mentioned her special day, he generously added a free champagne bottle to enjoy and celebrate her big day. That was really sweet. His candor and personality was so entertaining, he even offered us some advice on what to do for fun in the area. As a business owner myself, I would advise Management to take into account Coleman’s beyond expectations treatment of his patrons. He deserves a raise & a promotion. He was sadly the only good experience with this place. The spa massage experience was mediocre and the room given to us had no view, which is what I paid for. The room itself was hideous and outdated, I actually felt dirty during and after my stay and wanted to shower badly because of the status of the room was unkept like that, we can only imagine the lack of cleanliness. If I owned my own Hotel, I would probably recruit Coleman out of there to work for me. Probably won’t be staying here ever again. 5 stars for his excellent customer service, 1 star for the room and facilities. It’s also overpriced for what you get. The entrance drivers and employees were also super nice btw, & should also be commended for their pleasant demeanor.

Fantastic all around

Yulia C on Feb 07, 2025

Beautiful hotel and serene views. Wonderful amenities and fantastic staff! Wonderful venue to have my professional conference this year. The room was very spacious and had a lovely deck to catch some sunshine. Coleman was very friendly and incredibly helpful at the front desk. Definitely looking forward to coming back!

Customer service lives here

rabva on Jan 30, 2025

Huge call out to the customer service. I travel a ton for work and I have been saying customer service is dead. Coleman at the front desk took all of the days stress away, told us all about the hotel and the services. A huge call out to making quests feel at home

5 star resort pricing with 3 star accommodations

Jono H (Toronto) on Jan 26, 2025

The resort grounds are very nice, the staff are friendly, but the rooms are extremely tired and in need of a renovation, especially at the prices they are charging. After checking in, the staff emphasized that I should let them know if there is any reason I would not give a 9 or 10 rating in a review. When I did mention my dissatisfaction with the rooms, the front desk clerk thanked me for the feedback, and I never heard anything else from management. I also asked front desk if there was a business center where I could print a document, and the clerk wasn't sure, but thought there might be one near the meeting rooms. No effort to actually help me find it, which I never did. As Marriott Platinum, was given vouchers for daily breakfast in restaurant. M-F this was limited to a choice between yogurt bowl or bacon/sausage & eggs, but on weekend this included full buffet which was great. Restaurant staff are very attentive and I liked that they left a carafe of coffee on the table so no need to ask or wait for refills. They even offered me a to go cup when I was done to take any remaining coffee with me. Room furnishings are tired, especially in the bathroom. The old fashioned tub and shower curtain needs to be replaced. The bathroom fan was so noisy it sounded like it came off a prop plane. For $500+/night, I expect much more. I'm not a golfer, but the scenery on the course with the mountains and palm tress in the background were beautiful. I spent time at both of the smaller pools - one labeled "quiet" and the other "adult". There were hardly any other guests as the pool, but lots of clean towels available. The only drawback of the pools is that they are inundated by geese who have built nests on the building roofs. They honk and squawk loudly, and leave their droppings everywhere that this has become a health hazard. The property should seek a way to these nests removed. While there are many luxurious resorts in the Palm Springs area, this is not one of them. This is more like a convention hotel with many young families, sports teams and business groups staying there. Unless the rooms are significantly upgraded, if forced to pay these prices, I will stay elsewhere in the future.

Getting old

tmarcone (Boston) on Jan 22, 2025

I had stayed here pre COVID for an event and found it a very nice property. Unfortunately nothing has been updated in the past few years. The grounds look great and the staff is very friendly but my room was dirty and the fixtures are very early 2000's.
