Beautiful hotel. Ryan at the front desk is amazing and so kind. Breakfast was also great, the male host (I didn’t get his name) was also very kind. First time staying here and will be my new spot for the summer.

I have to say this is a mixed bag. If you are looking for a mid-priced resort in the Palm Springs area this could be a good choice but this is definitely not a 5-star property. The Westin is in a beautiful location and spread out across at least a dozen 2-story buildings. It straddles a Pete Dye designed golf course with terrific mountain views. There's also a tennis center and spa, well equipped gym, as well as a large pool with a big water slide for kids. The rooms themselves are a bit dated in terms of decor (wall to wall carpet, shower/tub combos instead of walk-in showers) and most surprisingly there are no elevators so all second floor rooms can only be reached by climbing up a staircase. Not great for those with heavy luggage or kids in tow. Additionally, the hotel check-in and valet area were understaffed at all times )although a call out to Nikki, who was cheerful and helpful). We drove up and there was no one at the entrance so we just left our car in the driveway and walked about 75 feet to find the check-in area on our own. We received complimentary breakfast as part of our Marriott status which was a large standard buffet that was average. The hostess was quite rude but wait staff at the restaurant were incredibly helpful and friendly. Self parking ($23/night) is available next to each building, which is quite convenient. We never saw a valet parker at any time. One final note, at least this time of year there are dozens of large geese that park themselves on building rooftops and the golf course. They make a ton of noise in the early morning so an issue of you want to sleep in.

Poor attention to detail and customer service. We had to call to get our room cleaned and that was at 5:00 PM. The front desk said they clean until 5:00, so when we're they going to do it? The coffee bar seved Starbucks out of a push button multiple choice machine and still charged Starbucks prices. The breakfast sandwiches were not good at all. Who would want a reheated pretzel croissant? The patio tables near the coffee shop were not cleaned by anyone the morning we went there and there was customer food and bird poop that had dried leaving you to wonder if it had been days since they were wiped. The room itself was large and clean. The pool deck near our room had a build up of goose poop everywhere. It was hard to avoid it when walking. The pool bar near us was open one day and not others. There were no hours posted. We were disappointed in our stay and will not return to this property

Our room was extremely dated and run down. The shower is a tub with an old shower curtain that sits on your feet while you shower because it’s way too long. It was gross. The whole property needs a face lift. . I would never stay here again unless improvements were made.

My go to, in the desert! The place is SO peaceful! The staff is excellent, Jay and Christopher at the front desk always remember my name and are so helpful is securing my favorite room request if available. Karen, Mark, Mike and Rommel always friendly and helpful, I always enjoy returning and I do often. Thx everyone. It’s the people that make it so nice. PS the grounds, landscape and scenery are breathtaking.
