Bad experience to Great Experience

Lina S on Jul 07, 2024

We had a bad experience with our A/c not working for one whole day but the people at the desk were so kind. The Mangers compensated us by offering two days of breakfast buffet for 4 people. The people i want to thank are James, rebecca at the desk and also Gladys and ana in the pinsmini breakfast area, very sweet and helpful and always with a smile on their face. Over all we had a great experience at the adult pool and the water slide. i recommend this resort

Peace and quiet on the 4th of July!!!

Roxanakc on Jul 05, 2024

I had a wonderful stay at The Westin Rancho Mirage Golf Resort & Spa! I was looking for a place to relax and escape too many fireworks. My room in building 4 was quiet and enjoyable. I LOVED the Dohm sound machine and all the little relax / sleep accessories this room had! The ground are beautiful and one of my favorite parts of my stay was my interaction with Coleman at check-in. He is witty and professional and really set an uplifting tone for the stay. Thanks for the great stay! I’m looking forward to my next visit!!!

James is the best

Keila M on Jul 03, 2024

James is the best!!! The hotel is amazing, the service is amazing. but James was so amazing. Definitely coming back. We went for the 4th of July celebrations and will be are forever spot for next year. We ended up adding one more stay at the hotel because my kids had such an amazing time that we needed one more day.

Relaxing trip to the desert with my sister

JamieNoelaniPark (Santa Monica, California) on Jul 03, 2024

I love this hotel property so so much. It is my go-to spot in the desert. I would choose staying there over anywhere else. I have been coming to the Westin Rancho Mirage since 2008. I think my last visit was in 2019 (due to Pandemic & life challenges) but I finally got to return June 2024 and wow, It was just as amazing as I remember….truly always feels like coming back “home”. I have to compliment this resort on having the most incredible staff and truly the most amazing relaxing resort! I’m forever a big believer in giving recognition to those who deserve it. There is simply NO comparison to the Westin Rancho Mirage. It is truly the ONLY hotel in the desert where I feel 100% relaxed, happy and I always feel like I am “home” when I am there. Escaping my chaotic busy life in Los Angeles and relaxing there is always just what the doctor ordered, I feel so renewed and recharged once i stay there and I am just so forever grateful for this team providing just that for me. The property was just as beautiful as ever. Lots of updates since I last was there in 2019. The rooms = perfection (oh the heavenly beds and blackout curtains are the best - I never sleep as well as I sleep at the Westin). I also loved all the extra activities they provide your customers - we even caught the tail end of Goonies at the main pool for the kids (they do these summer movie nights at the pool). Love that they do that. Specific staffers I must single out who went way above the call of duty giving exceptional service and kindness - Mike Boutte at the valet, Marco at the valet (amazing as these are the first impressions that customers have at the hotel…and it’s always a good one), Angel Portillo at the bar, Oscar at Fireside Lounge, Chandler and Ron Mercado at Las Hadas pool/bar, and last but not least the amazing one in a million David Jimenez who i know used to be at Las Hadas pool but now has so deservedly been promoted to a bigger role (soooo deserving). David is why I first fell in love with the Westin Rancho Mirage back in 2008 and it’s forever been my favorite hotel in the desert since - his kindness made that much of an impact on me way back in 2008. We missed his energy and kind loving enthusiasm at Las Hadas pool this trip but no one is more deserving of a promotion than David. His warmth is a rare and beautiful thing and I’m sure I’m not the only fan of his who is became a regular at Las Hadas pool all because of his warmth. You guys are lucky to have him at the hotel. Thank you thank you thank you for being the best resort in the desert and thank you for employing the greatest staff ever! See you guys my next visit (which is hopefully soon again this summer!)

Terrible experience

Matt G (Long Beach, California) on Jun 30, 2024

We have stayed at many Westin and Marriott resorts worldwide and this is by far the worst. We were confused that this was an actual Westin upon check-in as the property was so dirty and unkept we couldn't believe this was up to standards. I'm not sure how this property stays within the Westin portfolio, but the service was terrible as the staff was clearly not trained and acted very disinterested - it was obvious they did not like their jobs, and mildew everywhere in the exterior around the water areas and fountains. Unlike any other Westin we've stayed at - will never stay here again. Either invest in a massive renovation, completely replace mgmt personnel, or use a different brand. The Westin brand deserves better than this embarrassment.
