Outstanding Venue

Julio7804 (Sarasota, Florida) on May 18, 2026

The resort is very well suited for a business meeting venue. The rooms are very comfortable and spacious. I stayed in the Casita villas. The food and service was great and had many options. Meeting rooms were very good and the resort offers several areas for quick small side meetings. The golf course was outstanding and beautiful. The fairways and greens were great.

Truly Great

mbcHAMMER (Needham, Massachusetts) on Apr 29, 2026

After having a horrid experience at an Airbnb we quickly pivoted to the Westin Kierland after having stayed here about 8 years ago. The staff went above and beyond and due to my status we were upgraded to a beautiful private Casita. Words cannot express the gratitude I have for the staff and manager Ryan who went above and beyond to make sure we were well taken care of for 9 days after a chaotic start to the trip for my family. Even when the resort was packed with a few conferences they held their standards. The grounds are beautiful and sprawling. Every staff member we encountered was top notch. The room itself was beautiful and spacious even with a soaking tub my children loved. Housekeeping was great and timely every AM. The pool, lazy river were the big draw with more than enough seating. The pool temp was outstanding and my kids didn't complain once. The breakfast buffet every AM was great though there was little change to the dishes. Props to the chef cooking the omelets, A+ My only gripe is that there is a lot of nickle & diming here, there is a daily $50 resort fee and then they do charge $30 a day for parking. A lot of the children activities are also between $10-$25. All in all stellar property with amazing staff. You can get a golf cart ride anywhere on property or even the local shopping area. Hope to be back.

Rethink booking - Overpriced - Significantly better options nearby

Jay S on Apr 26, 2026

Severely overpriced compared to other courses in the area. $300 round with poor conditions. Played absolutely stunning courses within 20 minutes for half the price. Do your research and stay away.

Great location and fun for teens

araknes (Sammamish, Washington) on Apr 18, 2026

This was my fourth stay here with my how 19 year old daughter so I have a soft spot for this hotel. It’s overpriced and honestly not great value for money. Most of the service is officious or just ok. Rooms pretty basic and balconies are tiny. Generally it’s bursting at the seams with corporate convention types. But the pools and grounds are still fun and picturesque and location a short walk to mall and tons of restaurants is so teen friendly. We get free daily breakfast as lifetime titanium and the value there is good as well as the coffee. Yes I’d come back but not once the kids are totally grown and moved on as I’d want a lot more for a romantic stay for two.

Not worth the money (or points)!

I’ve stayed in many beautiful Marriott properties, and for what it charges, the Westin Kierland falls short. Very nice and helpful staff, but the facilities were very unimpressive. Rooms are outdated. Bathroom lock was broken, shower was super slippery and design was just lacking. Jacuzzi next to the pool was broken, and I learned that it had been that way for a long time. Sauna was nice, but no one even told us that we could access it for free. Wine list at outdoor restaurant was not up to standards of a 5-star hotel. Sorry. I’m willing to pay a premium for a nice glass of wine, but there was nothing impressive on the menu. Gym had decent equipment, but it was tiny. Barely room to put a mat on the floor. If I was being charged $300/night, fine, but when the least expensive rate is $800, no thank you.
