Overall good and fun experience (with some disappointments)

• It was a beautiful resort and beach. Most of the hotel is clean and the staff is nice. • Food was good, pretty basic buffet. • The rooms need upgrading in furniture and deep cleaning necessary on stains and other stuff, I had a premium pool view. • Overall it was priced on the less expensive side, so the resort overall based on value was good. We stayed for 5 nights, and was part of a large family group of 35 • Major disappointment was the arrival of my husband and I. We arrived at about 11:30 and I realize this is early for a hotel so we decide we will go to the lobby and wait there until check in is available, the front desk refused to let us in although we were coming with luggage from the airport and in a taxi. They insisted we pay $30 per person to even be allowed on property, its not about the money it was more on the rudeness and inconsideration. To top it off, they said at about noon we can come back to check in but we needed to be off the property. Not only was it inconvenient but I also was not informed of this charge ahead of time, again its not about the money but more so on the lack of customer service. After we walked away and ready to go elsewhere , another staff member saw us upset with our bags on the way out, he asked what happened and we explained the situation, and they said that's ridiculous, and they took upon themselves to ensure we remained in the lobby and allowed to check in 15 mins. We thanked him profusely and tried to brush it off.

Always a Wonderful Experience!

Have been here multiple times and this resort never disappoints. Customer service is top notch from the servers to bartenders and even the employees cleaning and sweeping the buffet area. Resort is beautiful and clean. Looking forward to visiting again. Domingo and Generosa at the main buffet have the talent of extreme customer service mastered. They work extremely hard. Luz and Carlos at the pool buffet are also very hard workers who are attentive and willing provide excellent customer service.

Great Experience!

We did a lot of research on Trip Advisor before finalizing our resort between Emotions, Iberostar and El Faro (Punta Cana). My husband and I ended up going with Iberostar for 7 days and we are very happy we picked this resort. Everything was great! Worth spending a little more money for a better resort (treat yourself!) - Very clean overall - Welcoming staff and always ready to assist you - Relaxing atmosphere (if you’re looking to party HARD, go to Punta Cana or Sosúa) - Great food and dessert options; love how they spread out breakfast, lunch and dinner hours. - Excursions available at the resort; horse back riding is recommended but apply bug repellent and you have the option to swim in the ocean (we opted out); we also did the City tour which showed us gem shop, Fort, cigar stores (optional), gift shops (optional), Central Park area, Pink area, and Umbrella area but as a couple we felt we could have done this on our own time rather than a tour but see the benefits of a family going on it. - Resort also offers daily activities; participated in Bingo and played volleyball with the other travellers - Remember to book your dinner reservation as soon as you check-in to try and get the best time slots for your family. We didn’t mind the late dinner time but might be an issue for others. No real complaints. If I really had to pick on something, the fuse went out a couple of times in the room whenever I used the hair dryer so we decided to turn off the AC when I used it. We normally don’t return to the same resort from our vacation but this would be an exception.
