TripAdvisor Traveler Rating

The WiFi here is TERRIBLE. If you plan to work while you’re here, you need to make alternate arrangements for Internet connectivity because the Wi-Fi here is absolutely terrible. We have been here for nearly 2 nights now and the first night I was told the Wi-Fi was knocked out due to the rain, but today has been nothing but clear skies on the Wi-Fi is out once again. You will need to pay for roaming with your cell phone provider because there is absolutely no staff willing to aid you in this venture.

We were here from July 1 thru July 8 2025... we found something to enjoy eating at every meal... coffee from the bar in the morning to take to the pool was a must... Evening entertainment was not really something that we did... our Concierge Lucy was the shining star of our trip..no matter what we needed she was there with a smile and made us feel like family... the pool was not the cleanest that we've been in.. lots of bird droppings.( which is to be expected with as many that are flying over) . Our room was clean. But refrigerator in room was not filled very often... resort is beautiful to walk around and enjoy..

We recently stayed at Iberostar Waves Costa Dorada and found that our experience did not match the advertised 4.8-star rating. The rooms are quite dated and in need of updating. We experienced frequent power outages throughout our stay—sometimes up to 10 times a day—which was very disruptive. The air conditioning in our first room was not working, and despite multiple visits to the front desk, it took two days and involvement from our travel agent before the issue was resolved and we were moved. Housekeeping was inconsistent, and the overall cleanliness of the room did not meet expectations. The pool also appeared to be poorly maintained during our stay. There are some positives, including the resort grounds and overall layout, but the condition of the rooms and reliability of basic services need significant improvement. At this time, it does not reflect the rating being advertised.

This trip was so awesome the workers were great, some of my favorites including Super Joe’s entertainment team (Shaggy, Ninja. Rambo, King Kong, etc) As well as people from the lounge including (Marlon, Fradely, Ghereson, Enderson) We also received great massages from Ana, Iverlisse, and Carolina and one other with Ana that I cannot remember the name of. The shows were so fun to watch and the resort was very clean and beautiful!!

My wife and I have stayed at Iberostar Costa Dorada several times and the Staff is always wonderful, food is great, and Entertainment is delightful! Mark and Betania Wheeler
