Wonderful relaxing vacation, exceeded expectations!

We very much enjoyed our vacation at this resort, the beach and ocean were much nicer than expected, we swam every day. Even when it was windy at the beach in the afternoons the ocean was very swimmable. It’s a gorgeous property with peacocks wandering around. We had very attentive staff calling to follow up about an issue with our room safe (hubby accidentally reprogrammed it and didn’t know the code haha!) and about an extra blanket we requested. There was very little sargassum and the beach was cleaned every day around 1pm. The beach bar and lunch restaurant by the pool had self serve pop and coffee if you want and the beach bartender was great! The staff wasn’t always looking for tips which was nice compared to Iberostar Selection in Punta Cana (our 8th time at an Iberostar resort). Our concierge did NOT bug us for a meeting or upsell, in fact we never saw him after the first day although he may have been the one phoning to check on us. Restaurant reservations were easy to get at the desk the morning after we checked in, and our room was fabulous. A very comfortable bed and pillows, I am a poor sleeper and I had the best sleeps on this vacation for a change. I don’t know our cleaner‘s name but it was top notch cleaning, our room was cleaned early in the day which we like and was impeccable. Plus the app pinging you a message saying “your room is clean” is very handy. We didn’t use the pool more than a few times and yes there was some bird poop but every time I was there or walking by I saw someone skimming it. You could always get a chair in the shade in the middle of the afternoon if you didn’t mind sitting in the rows closer to the beach. We did both get a 12 hour tummy bug that seems to be going around but luckily we didn’t miss any time at the beach. Hopefully when they close the resort for a few months to redo the pool this will stop the constant circulation of the bug. Having said this it was the cleanest resort I have ever been to! So many travellers in one place makes this sort of thing unavoidable. All in all a fantastic vacation and I would go back in a heartbeat, I wish I could book next week!

Never again

We arrived on May 23, 2026, with a simple request for a quiet room. Instead, we were subjected to a series of room assignments that made rest impossible and ultimately led to a medical emergency: Room 4118: Located directly adjacent to the showcase audience. Loud music and noise continued until midnight, preventing any sleep. Room 8103: Following our request to move, we were placed across from the orchid garden. We were awakened at 4:30 AM by loud peacocks, further compounding our sleep deprivation. Room 2204: Our third room assignment was physically uninhabitable. The air conditioning and coffee machine were broken, and the drains in both the shower and sink were completely clogged and non-functional.Medical Incident & Emergency Departure Due to the cumulative physical toll of these "sleepless nights" and the constant stress of moving rooms, and food or water bacteria suffered a medical crisis. On Tuesday, May 26, after spending the previous day bedridden with a severe migraine, she lost consciousness and fainted in the buffet area during breakfast.

Our Honeymoon

Our stay at Iberostar Costa Dorada was absolutely amazing! Honestly, this resort deserves to be a 5-star resort for the way they treat their guests and the experience they provide. From the food, entertainment, atmosphere, and service — everything exceeded our expectations. A huge thank you to our private concierges, Jhon and Dawell, who treated my wife and I like royalty from the moment we arrived. They went above and beyond to make sure we had the best vacation possible, and their hospitality truly made our trip unforgettable. Also, if you visit, you HAVE to meet Ninja, one of the dancers from the entertainment team! Him and the entire crew are awesome, full of energy, and made every night so much fun. Thank you to everyone at Iberostar Costa Dorada for such an incredible experience. We already can’t wait to come back and see everyone again next year!

Great family vacation

Back home after a 7 day stay. The hotel is beautiful and the staff is amazing!! Pedro in the lobby, Santiago in El Mercado and Fermin at the pool bar made our stay even better. The beach had a good amount of seaweed but that isn’t the hotels fault and it was actively cleaned as best as it could be daily. We were in building 2 facing the pool which has a good amount of activity all day long. The AC struggled a bit but the coupled with the ceiling fan it did the job for us. Bed was comfy and the room was clean. We enjoyed the nightly entertainment and live music and dancing in the plaza very much. Though 3 out of our group of 6 got sick somehow, we had a wonderful time. We tried all three of the restaurants and loved them all. Food was good, a bit repetitive but we never had any trouble finding something to enjoy. We used SalvaSix Tours and Transfers SRL for airport transfer and Paradise Island, waterfall and buggy excursions and wouldn’t use anyone else. Salvador and Randy made us feel like family and safe in their hands. Their service was prompt and communicative and they made our time off the resort special.

Gastro infections

Half of our group got sick with gastro infections. I spoke with other guests seems it's going on for a couple of months and still active.With 20 years of all inclusive travel first time i see that, so it's on the hotel I'd say. Service is lazy and inconsistent. If not it would be just a general all inclusive resort with nothing exceptional.
