We stayed at Domincus Beach from 12 April until 26 April 2024 . When we arrived we were shown to our garden view bungalow which was lovely and quiet and the room was spacious and clean and comfortable. The bathroom was big and had a large walk-in shower with complimentary shower gel and hair shampoo with conditioner. The room was cleaned every day, and we had fresh towels every day. The buffet restaurant had a wide choice of food and was refilled quickly. The bacon went fast in the morning, but there was lots on offer. And always fresh fruit available. The snack bar just outside had burgers and hot dogs and chips. And the pizza and pasta restaurant open all day and till late at night . We downloaded the app and tried 4 of the ala carte restaurants. I wasn't too keen on 25, but the Mexican and fusion were fantastic. Nelson at the mexican and Juan at the fusion were brilliant cheerful and friendly waiters . We also booked the extra special meal of surf and turf, which was steak and half a lobster. Wow, it was cooked to what we like and all tasted amazing. The beach was lovely, and the sea had tiny bits of seaweed, but you could see to the bottom of it and was warm. The infinity pool and pool by it were lovely and a bit quieter. The infinity pool had a smoothie and milkshake bar called tiki by it and wow freshly made in front of you. I can recommend the banana split milkshake and the pink coloda milkshake. We found all the staff helpful and friendly occasionally we had the language barrier problem but everyone was nice. We flew with Tui from the UK ???? and the rep at the hotel Jay was so helpful. And we booked 4 excursions through tui Beach towel also provided at this hotel. All you have to do it hand over the card you get when you check in and get a fresh towel every day

2 week holiday

Me and my fiancée chose this resort for our 2 week holiday this year. The grounds and location were lovely, plenty of pools and restaurants to choose from (some of the restaurants come at an extra charge which is explained to you upon arrival). Also the safe is $2 per day which should be explained upon arrival too. We always managed to secure sunbeds whether we sat on the beach or by the pool. The main restaurant had a vast variety of different foods to choose from, changing in theme every night; Italian, oriental, etc. I Couldn’t fault the food, also my fiancée is not a fan of most meats but she still managed to eat absolutely fine. We expected a language barrier as it is a foreign country to us, but I learnt basic Spanish phrases just so we could communicate a bit better. A small minority of the staff I found were very rude towards us after finding out we were English however the rest of the staff were always on hand to help. Any issue we found with the room, we reported straight away and someone was there in less than 15 minutes to fix it. Also a special mention to Arian at the bar who was always on form and made our nights a little better. Being English we love to queue and have basic manners however the vast majority of other holiday makers were just completely rude and were as if they were the only ones there; pushing in the queues, walking out straight in front of you, taking up the full path and the nose turning when they hear you speaking English (so bear this in mind if you are English or American). Also the pool near the la roca restaurant was very French orientated, the only reason I raise this issue is because there are multiple other nationalities here. Just seems a bit unfair to the others. I wouldn’t be deterred by some of the other reviews, I think they are just being extremely picky and you cannot please everyone. Personally we would return to this resort as we had a brilliant time together.

Amazing location & Beach, shame about the quality of the hotel

My family and I stayed here for 2 weeks from March to April 2024, the beach and pools are stunning and really well maintained, this unfortunately is all this hotel really has to offer. Drinks - yes all inclusive but only average at best - watered down spirits and beer unless you are a VIP Food - buffet don't bother it is horrific, the food is poor quality and the general dining experience I would compare to a school dinner hall. The a-la-carts are ok but not great, the food was such a poor quality I actually lost weight for the first time ever on holiday. Rooms - Upon our arrival after 12 hrs traveling we got to our room and were massively disappointed it was horrific - the balcony was covered in bird crap and all we could see was a discussing wall (Please see picture) - the bathroom was dirty and the mirror falling apart - the process I had to go through to get this resolved was a disgrace - I had to go all the way back to reception and demand to speak to a manager, the receptionist was rude and not willing to help until the next day (I was unwilling to get into our room then move again) I finally got to speak to Katherine and after getting quite irritated I made it clear if they didn't sort it there and then that I would sleep on the sofa in reception as this was nicer than our room. Once we finally got moved our room was nice however for the first 2 days the air con would not work and it was like sleeping in a sauna, then to top it all off during our stay the housekeepers that we had been leaving tips for on a regular basis stopped doing our room properly, we would come back for showers and have no towels or the room would not have been turns over or floors left covered in sand for over a week from us on the beach etc. I had opened up a e-mail dialect with the hotel before traveling to make some arrangements and it was ALL ignored and when showed to reception they just said that's not us so nothing we can do. Every request was ALWAYS met with the reception staff appearing irritated and frustrated. the Guest services are helpful but do not really make you feel welcome and one will operate totally differently compared with another. LASTLY - always check your bill when checking out - ours was ALL wrong we had been charged for a safe we didn't request, meals in Atlantis we had not eaten and much more this took 45 mins to resolve at checkout but thankfully we had time before our transfer. This hotel has the potential to be amazing based on its location but this is let down by poor accommodation, poor standards of food, some (not all) rude staff and overall the poor quality of everything apart for the beach and pool areas.

It was my first experience with all inclusive system in Dominicana, before I visited Turkey and Egypt very different

One of the best place for family vacation, very nice green territories, huge beach territory’s with white Caribbean sand. 7 Restaurants al-carte, and great kitchen food at the main restaurants, breakfast and snacks very high quality. Beverages are available not only local products, you can order different types of drinks from European brands

Sr Wisbert concierge of club viva was very kind with us he bring us a good Service and very attentive he was very help fully too, congratulations for this hotel both the service of the hotel and all staff in this hotel was very kind, I recommend for other people visit this hotel.
