As beach lovers my wife and I came at JOIA Bávaro DR for the first time last February. We were not disappointed. The staff all around the resort is devoted to pampering you. What is outstanding is the cleanliness everywhere (restrooms included). As well for the food it was a convinced experience. Also, what a good feel to begin your day with the kindness of «Carlos» at the buffet for breakfast and having him again sometime at dinner time. He is so nice. And we don't want to forget «Carolay» girl that welcomes you almost everywhere at different restaurants. And seeing «Camillo» at the beach towels cabana every day and later the beautiful smile of the beach waiter «Eliezer» we can’t ask for more… Also, we don’t want to forget «Black Mamba» & «Pikatchou» with their entertainment team all week long… Nice team job guys! Big shout to «Blacky Chan» at Hashita restaurants. You make us feel welcome. And a big shout to one of the sympathetic chiefs at El Galeon restaurants (just don’t have his name). His eye contact from his workplace to our table with a thumb up in a way to know if our dishes are OK. Congrats to you, Chief! But now, here’s the best of the best… Our butler «Ray» What a nice lady. She is not an ordinary butler. She is a professional butler. She feels you and wants you to be happy and do things to make you happy... She deeply understands people and wants you to have a good time at JOIA Bávaro. She pampers you in a way that you just have to enjoy your vacation because Ray back yourself for everything that is left. Not too much… just enough… She was the perfect butler experience for my wife and I. We cannot say enough how we appreciated her kindness and devotion, all of that with a beautiful smile… We planned to ask for her when we go back… So, all in all, it was a beautiful time vacation at the JOIA Bávaro DR

What a wonderful place. We stayed at the Iberostar Selection next door, 3 years ago with our 3 boys and had a wonderful time. This trip was just my wife and me, so we wanted something a little finer. We scored! The service was beyond compare. Our personal butlers, Armando, Ray and Jesus were always there and catered to our every request. Joel, Lebron, Marlon and all the wait staff were very pleasant and attentive, continuously asking what they could do for us. Samuel and Alby at the prestige center were also delightful and knowledgeable. Our housekeeper Maribel made an outstanding display with roses and decorations to celebrate our 34th anniversary. We highly recommend this resort if you are looking for unparalleled service.

Our concierge Bienvenido treated us incredibly well during our stay at Joia. We loved the hotel. It is a very peaceful place perfect to enjoy and relax.

We have been to Punta Cana MANY times but even other 5* resorts did not quite match up to JOIA. The food was consistently the best we've had on vacation, with several cuisines to choose from and no problem getting a table (we never reserved). The staff was genuinely friendly and helpful (and patient with my husband's faltering attempts to speak Spanish!). The room and entire resort were immaculate, cleaned several times a day. The decor, although good quality, may feel a bit dated to some yet I didn't mind because our room (ocean view butler suite) was spacious, perfectly dark and quiet and cool at all times. The jacuzzi bath was a nice touch (especially when we arrived back at our room to find a bubble bath already run and adorned with rose petals!). The king bed was comfortable we slept deeply every night. But the game changer was the Iberostar app, which allowed us to message our butler, check out restaurant menus, and order drinks and snacks directly from the beach and pool, thanks to excellent WiFi reception. We did not use our butler much because we prefer to be self-sufficient. However, Valentin replied instantly and came to our room within minutes when we needed umbrellas! We also didn't partake in other activities through personal choice, but I assume they were of the same quality as everything else in JOIA: top-notch. I've heard some people return to this JOIA year after year, and I can now see why. Already dreaming of our return!

Everything was just perfect. The service was exceptional. The staff is amazing and very attentive to our needs. I was really impressed by the happiness of ALL the staff. The food is exceptional. Congrats to the Chef. The best place I ever went in terms of the quality of food. There are enough palapas to protect from the sun, We spent our days at the magnificent beach.
