My wife and I are vacationing here with a few days left and everything has exceeded expectation. The butler service is amazing they anticipate needs or wants before you could even think. The rooms are immaculate. We were out on an excursion and when we returned they had drawn a bath. Thank you to Eduardo, Cesar and Marista. After a 12 hour excursion that was much needed. Thank you to Eduardo for letting us know when restaurants would be closed and giving recommendations. Everyone one of the staff is kind and helpful. Amstar made planning excursions easy. The only downside has been the sargassum (seaweed) on the beach on the resort but the resort fully makes up for it. And you can go to a island on excursion to get your beach day. I will definitely be recommending to friends and family.

We stayed the JOIA Bávaro by Iberostar from 09-02-2026 through 09-15-2026. It was an incredible experience, and I cannot recommend it enough. The location is near the Punta Cana airport. The resort itself is beautiful and well maintained. The restaurants all had great food. We ate lobster a lot on our trip and it was always delicious. Our room was great. I like there is a little hallway when you enter that can be closed off from the rest of the space. The fridge, coffee station, safe, and closet are here. Meaning you can shut the interior door and limit noise heard in the other room. Our room had a swim up pool which used frequently. There are a number of services and amenities available. I utilized the gym daily. There is a free spa area for guests. The view from here is spectacular. We did a couples massage. We had professional photos taken. We did a romantic dinner on the beach. Staff booked our excursions for us. The Cigar bar is fun! The entertainment staff host a variety of activities and workshops during the day. There was some sort of nightlife entertainment every evening. There are several pools giving guests' options on how they want to spend their time. There are lots of cabanas. The resort itself is great. What made our experience exceptional was the staff! We interacted with a lot of staff and every single one was professional and helpful. I would like to highlight the staff below: Eduardo, our butler: He did so much for us. He was always available and highly responsive to our requests. He made a point to check in with us throughout every shift both in-person and using the app. We watched him post himself in hallways and at the buffet throughout the day where he could be found. He is professional and friendly. He really helped us getting settled in. He took great pride in helping us have the best vacation experience possible. We cannot thank him enough. Eduardo worked in tandem with Cesar Rameriz. Cesar was equally terrific. He was always available for assistance. We would meet with and speak to him several times a day. He was really helpful the final day helping us get checked out and taken to the airport. We are grateful for all he did for us. Eduardo went on a much-deserved vacation near the end of our trip. Jose then worked in tandem with Cesar. We only worked with him for a short time, but he was terrific too. There are some other staff I would like to recognize: Gregory of the pool staff: He helped us with cabanas and towels. He was always so friendly. Tobias and Ery at the Pool Bar: These two gentlemen were a blast. They made sure everyone was having fun. Ortiz: He is a waiter that worked at many of the restaurants. He was always super friendly. Eddie: He was the waiter at our romantic dinner and he was exceptional! Jose Luis: He is a waiter. I made a mistake ordering food one night. It was 100% on me. Jose went out of his way to make sure I got what I intended to order. Jeoffrey the Photographer: He took professional photos of us on the resort. The man is super talented and photos turned out amazing. Pavel at the Photo studio: I was having trouble using my own new camera I brought with me. Pavel took time out of his day to help me learn to use it. Elizabet at the Welcome Lounge: We spent a lot of evenings at the welcome lounge. All of the staff were terrific, but Elizabet seemed to be our waitress a lot. She was incredibly friendly. Perla: Perla was our housekeeper. She worked so hard giving our room a re-set every day. She would make animals and shapes from towels and leave them for us to find. It was such a nice gesture. "Snoop Dog" was the entertainment director. He and his staff worked really hard to make sure guests had fun. What was really impressive about him was how well remembered names. It was a nice touch that added to the fun. I would be typing forever if I mentioned everything we enjoyed about our experience. To keep it brief, If you are going to visit Punta Cana, stay at the JOIA Bávaro by Iberostar. You will have a great time!

We recently stayed here for 10 nights… I did NOT want to leave. I seriously have zero negative to say about this property! Is it modern? Nope- but that really adds to the charm of the property. I laughed & said the art work in our room had a White Lotus vibe. Our room was spotless & fully stocked at all times. Our butlers Reynaldo & Edwardo were SO wonderful! A good mix of checking in regularly without being too annoying. The food is probably the best I have ever had at an all inclusive. Surprisingly? Our favorite restaurant was the Dominican. We ate there several times. Our waiter Samual “floated” between different restaurants & provided such spectacular service while being super funny. I felt like we ended up having him almost every day.. and it was GREAT! Marcus with the entertainment team became our buddy! Also friendly & fun- again without being over the top. I was a smidge concerned after reading reviews the resort would be too low key, sooooo not the case! The lobby parties are AMAZING! Thanks entertainment team! The female singers that perform at night can belt some songs! The drinks at every bar we had were wonderful & the coffee shop is perfect for the much needed caffeine. Dreaming of when we can return! This place was amazing. The food and service was top notch. We had an issue in our room because of a leak and our butlers Caesar and Eduardo were amazing. They found us at the pool and told us about the issue. They handled everything with finding another room and helping us get moved. There was a woman at the restaurants I believe it was Javelia that was so sweet and made us feel special anytime we saw her. We will definitely book here again!

This hotel was amazing. The food and service was above and beyond. Our butlers Caesar and Eduardo took excellent care of us. There was an issue with a leak in our room and they handled everything. They got our room switched quickly and helped us move. Javelia at the restaurants made us feel so welcome and took great care. We will definitely book here again
