Enjoyable stay

We have recently returned from ORP, group of 7 adults and 1 child split between El Beso and Daisy buildings (no privilege). Check in was slow and there is an awful smell in the reception and lobby bar which takes some getting used to! The rooms were lovely but showing signs of dating, cleaned daily and we always left a tip. The Daisy building can be a bit noisy at night when guests return to their rooms. Air con was brilliant. We already knew the beach was not good but we were happy sat by the pools which were all lovely and warm. The wildlife is fascinating! The buffet was good but got very much the same thing every day. We had lunch in the Pez Vela restaurant on the beach a couple of times which was enjoyable looking out at the ocean. We ate in the Italian, Japanese and Steakhouse all of which we enjoyed. Would not recommend the Mayan dinner which you pay for, the food was minimal and not very nice. The nightly entertainment was good and we really enjoyed the Michael Jackson tribute. The waiters and bartenders work hard and really appreciate a tip no matter how big or small. We did a day trip to Isla de Mujeres on a catamaran which was really good, beautiful beach and clear water. Some of our party went to Coco Bongo's which they enjoyed. We renewed our vows on the beach (a bit to the right, arranged privately) which was the main reason for our holiday to celebrate our 25th anniversary. We really enjoyed our stay!

Lovely hotel. Kids club team were great, Ana Banana, Soul and Danni were particularly favourites of our little people. They worked hard and were always happy to see our children.
Summer vacation

Where to begin… We are returning visitors. We come to ORP for a few years now. We absolutely adore all inclusive and premium experience! The checkin takes literally a few minutes…thank you Jessica!! the suites are gorgeous, the rooms comfortable and everything always works as it should. Never run out of hot water and never had any problems in the rooms. This year we had Antonio as our butler. He made our stay extraordinary, exceptional and unforgettable. He was extremely attentive to detail and super helpful with everything. We became friends and we hope that we’d be able to see him again every summer as we’re definitely going back to ORP!!! The food is amazing! Be kind to your waiters. They work super hard a d don’t make much. Leave tips! Our favorite restaurants were the Lounge, Steakhouse, La Locanda and Margarita. Our waiters Juan, Carlos, Jose and Rolando were simply the best!!! We celebrated my birthday and they all made sure that everyone around was well aware…even our room door was decorated! The beach is not huge but big enough. We were very lucky as there was no sargassum for the 2 weeks that we were there. It started arriving again the day before our departure. A huge advantage of this resort is that since the beach is not huge, it is relatively easy to clean and there is very little chance you’ll ever smell seaweed as the resort is very long! The shops are super cool, a little expensive but they have to make money somehow…rest assured that the jewelry on the 5th avenue is not any cheaper. There are also plenty of wild animals…you can frequently see monkeys, iguanas, coatis, deer and even small crocodiles in the little jungle lookout. Overall, our stay was great and we can’t wait to go back! Once more, Antonio, thank you for everything! Your efforts to make our stay amazing did not go unnoticed! You are simply the best chef butter! Also special thanks to all the stuff that tool care of our room and again to all the waiters that took care of us throughout our stay! Let’s not forget Mikes! Th service was impeccable. See you all, next year!! Marta&Phil
Kids Club ????

Litzy and Anna were amazing in the kids club. Our children felt so at ease and loved every activity that they attended. The activities around the pool and during the evening were brilliant.

Just returned from 14 nights, we decided to upgrade to a privelege swim up room and were so glad we did , we got our own check in room , assigned our own butler ( the lovely Rosa who was excellent) , who showed us to our room and gave us as much information as we could take in , as seeing as we’re had been on the go for 15 hours , fist impressions were impressive, lovely spacious room , must say maybe a bit worn , possibly due a facelift in a couple of years , swim up was just what we expected, not a private pool but we knew this when we booked , right outside the privelege pool , which was very handy for grabbing sunbeds , even though there are plenty to go around, we visited all the pools and the beach and there are multiple sunbeds to be had , do not worry about getting up at daft o clock in the morning to claim one ! Food was excellent in the à la carte restaurants, we did a few numerous times, and some only once , everyone is different so just find what you like and take it from there ,drinks are plentiful, rack bar has its own specialty cocktail menu , if there’s not something you like on there just ask the brilliant bartenders and they will make it for you - big shout out to William at the privilege swim up bar , what a guy , every member of staff were pleased to serve you but h just stood out. There is a bit of wildlife here , coatis , iguanas , the cenotaph has a resident crocodile which we managed to see , cats which are very friendly, raccoons and we also saw a vine snake one day , which security took control of , all in all a brilliant resort which we didn’t want to leave .
