elegant home for the week

I had the best stay here. We stayed in one of the larger suites, I can't remember if it was the VIP or Luxury suite but it was huge with two bathrooms, a dining table bigger than the one at home, and overall lots of space for our small family. All of the staff were incredibly kind. There is a dedicated housekeeper that swoops in as soon we leave the room so it was tidied multiple times a day. The servers at breakfast remembered us every morning, and the doormen were always warm and made us *feel* like they remembered us. The front desk also randomly gave us a gift card to use at the restaurant. I had never stayed in the Union Square area before, thinking it was too crowded and loud but I didn't notice it at all. I am also not a regular at Hyatts but this visit made me change my mind.
The best hotel location in SF!

Best hotel location in San Francisco and a landmark building with incredible views. I have stayed here many times over the years. Love the rooms! Ask for Bay view or Union Square view room. Great people. Was here for a conference in a lovely windowed room and they kindly gave us big dispensers of ice water, nice glasses, and paper, pens and a lovely bathrooms to use. Cons: -No room service (Taken away after Covid. I hope they reinstate this for such a landmark property, room service is a must.) -Coffee Bar that was previously downstairs and sold muffins, yogurts, etc downstairs is now gone. Luckily an option is the Starbucks across the street. -Breakfast Restaurant only has buffet options and no toast, etc., so a small breakfast is not an option. -Room request booked online and on phone, was missed. Eventually it was fixed, but annoying. Make sure you confirm room you want. -Few hooks in the room for coats. No robes provided. More hooks always needed! Pros: -Great bar on the mezzanine. Fun place to meet up if you re at a conference and you can eat there as well. Nice staff -Sheets, pillows and bed fantastic. 5 Star level. Slept like a baby on my queen bed. -My room had a light that pops on to light the floor if motion is detected in the night, so you can find your way to the bath. -Love the blind that opens and closes with a button by the bed. I fell asleep by the lights of the city! -Room lighting is good. No glaring bulbs and a bendable reading light was good as well as ample plugs and spaces to charge. -Good shower and water pressure. -Balenciaga soaps etc are okay. Nothing to write home about. -Appreciate they highlight the tap water comes from the Hetch Hetchy - the cleanest water in the United States, and provide clean glasses(not plastic) for it, and don't push plastic water bottles. -Small empty frig and safe. - My room had a small vanity separate with a magnifying mirror, from the bath which was nice, and a quality hair dryer (needed in SF.) -Valet , door and Bellman are awesome, kind and helpful. Tim was especially great to our group and went out of the way to get us a mirror for a project. -Super safe and fantastic location. We - a group of women, walked to everything- Chinatown dinners, Financial District dinner, lunch and shopping in Union Square- even with rain, and enjoyed ourselves. Would stay again, but hoping they get the room service, breakfast options, and coffee bar back. A renovation is starting soon I heard by floor, so excited to see this awesome property get the love Hyatt should be giving it.

Great location walking distance to Moscone Center, shops, and Bart station. Nice facility. I was upgraded to a Bay view room at high floor as a Hyatt Explorist member, a very nice treat. Hotel staffs are friendly and helpful. Room is spacious and clean.

Location was perfect for my meetings. City parking at reasonable rate across the street. Many fine restaurants within walking distance.
