No sleep, no service, no fun. Avoid at all costs.

The elevators are as loud as an airport runway, you will not get any sleep at night. The wait for elevators in the old building can take up to 5mins, if you're lucky enough to find one that isn't packed full of people. Front desk downgraded my room despite my Globalist Hyatt status, because they could not clean my booked room by the stated time of 4pm. Avoid this hotel at all costs.

Very poor service and rude front desk.

navneetjha on Jul 02, 2022

Book the hotel with great expectations, however entire experience from check in to check out was horrible. Front desk was very rude. There was no water in the room and had to go to front desk to ask for water bottle. The rude front desk will look at you as if you asked for their salary. Most of the time they will turn you away saying come later. The hotel room was also terrible with no amenities at all. You have to pay for breakfast which was also just average with not much choice and same everyday. Overall a very bad hotel for a very high price. Not sure if other Hyatt in the areas were same or was it the case with this hotel only. Please avoid this property.

Fantastic location, convenient to restaurants and shopping and activities including places of interest. Hotel staff are friendly and very helpful. Hotel is always clean and the rooms are very comfortable. We had a room with a view of Coit Tower and the Bay.....was beautiful!

Great stay!

Projectmaximus (Miami, Florida) on Jun 30, 2022

Stayed for a week in June. Used a TSU to upgrade to an executive suite. Well worth it. Was concerned because for the past 6 months, reports from this hotel have been atrocious. For the suite at least, the hard product was excellent. Practical yet attractive furniture, excellent smart features, great views from room 2324. Service in the lounge was first rate. Had very little interaction with staff in the rest of the hotel, but found them all perfectly pleasant. The hotel was sold out for part of the week, and not only was the hotel buzzing but so was the area around the hotel. So again, any concerns from the past 6 months seem to have been wiped out, at least for the busy summer season. Did not notice any staffing issues anymore. As for the lounge food...breakfast was meh. Food was decent, selection was very minimal. Same for the evening happy hour. Still, the views up there, the ambiance, and the staff are all fantastic. Leading up to the stay, I was disappointed that I had passed up on booking the HR Embarcadero while rates were low. But in hindsight we were more than happy to be staying where we did.

Great Time in SF

mk449ers (San Diego, California) on Jun 29, 2022

The Grand Hyatt is a nice hotel conveniently located in Union Square. The room was nice, nice view of Union Square and conveniently located to shops, restaurants, the cable cars, Chinatown, Fisherman's Wharf, walking distance to Oracle Park and public train (Muni/BART) systems, making it easy to get around. The staff was friendly and helpful and we enjoyed our stay
