An Unforgettable Stay at Hideaway Royalton St. Lucia

Our stay at the Hideaway Royalton in St. Lucia was nothing short of exceptional—truly a dream vacation from start to finish. Every detail was handled with such care, making our experience unforgettable. A huge highlight of our trip was our butlers, Darnell and Marissa. They went above and beyond in every possible way, anticipating our needs before we even had to ask. From seamless reservations to thoughtful touches throughout our stay, they made us feel completely taken care of and so special. Their professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail truly elevated our entire experience. The service across the entire resort, especially on the beach, was outstanding. Staff were always attentive, friendly, and supportive, ensuring we were comfortable and relaxed at all times. The grounds were immaculate, beautifully maintained, and the resort itself is absolutely stunning. Our room was spotless and very well cared for, making it a perfect place to unwind after a day in paradise. We upgraded to the Diamond Club, and it was 100% worth it. The added perks, exclusive areas, and elevated level of service made our vacation feel luxurious and stress-free. The food was amazing—every meal was delicious, fresh, and beautifully presented. And the beach… wow. The sand, the water, the views—everything was breathtakingly beautiful. It truly felt like paradise. We cannot recommend the Hideaway Royalton St. Lucia enough. If you’re looking for a luxurious, relaxing getaway with top-tier service and stunning surroundings, this is the place. We are already dreaming about coming back!

Multi-day AC failure + very poor service recovery

We chose Royalton Saint Lucia expecting a luxury experience, but unfortunately our stay was dominated by a serious air-conditioning failure and poor staff response. Our Diamond Club room had no working air conditioning for roughly four days. In St. Lucia’s climate, this made the room extremely hot and humid — worse than being outdoors — and we could not sleep overnight on at least one occasion. The most concerning part was how the situation was handled. Overnight, the front desk was unresponsive, and when I went down to ask for assistance, the desk was unattended and the staff member was asleep. No fan was proactively offered, and communication was minimal. When management finally addressed compensation, the offer was a flat $150 credit, which we were told applied regardless of whether a guest lost one day or multiple days. When I asked to speak with the Diamond Club manager, he arrived late to the meeting and dismissed our concerns, stating that most guests were satisfied. When I disagreed, he accused me of raising my voice instead of addressing the issue. We also encountered billing errors. We were incorrectly charged for an extra spa service. The front desk refused to correct their own mistake and sent us to the spa, which confirmed the charge was wrong. Even after that, the front desk initially claimed they could not remove the charge. The situation was eventually corrected, but only after wasting vacation time and arguing over an error that was not ours. The resort itself is attractive, but service recovery and guest care were deeply lacking. A multi-day AC outage, poor overnight responsiveness, dismissive management behavior, and billing issues made this a very disappointing experience. I would think carefully before booking if reliability, accountability, and respectful guest service are important to you.

The location of the resort is great and they have a beautiful view of the ocean. Most to everyone at the resort was very personable. We highly recommend requesting Kaysha if you are interested in the butler services. She is amazing!!! The rooms were clean and well taken care of. The food was good! There weren’t many things we didn’t like. Overall the resort is really nice and we would definitely go back!

Beautiful Pools and beach - mediocre food - lots broken - needs improvement

-Butlers -Kindness from a select few -food availability Dinner and service in Hunter restaurant good except some steaks overdone -dinner at calypso good -Japanese restaurant chef was fun Adrian -Drinks ok, some better than others -greeting -Pools some of the best I’ve ever experienced -beach (although Karen was stung Saturday) - easily provided power strip - Speed boat excursion excellent - grounds kept very impeccably - Great water aerobics everyday. - Internet works extremely well even to beach most days - Lunch for diamond club very good especially coconut shrimp but left tomatoes off blt. - available entertainment and activities great - They had real cream available for coffee at several locations. - Did have some wait service at evening entertainment - Did get to play pickleball - Excursions very fun - Cabana rental very nice Cons -musty rooms. Recommend air purifiers used in rooms between guests to reduce musty smell. Bring an air purifier if you come here -No bathroom vent - could use better resort explanation on arrival. - Not enough Outlets in room - Need soft serve ice cream and Vanilla hard to come by - Ran out of lots on menu at about every restaurant and every bar - Food not consistent with what’s on menu - Food is ok but far from spectacular and sometimes just not good - Not a lot of options for gathering to play cards but you can make your own space to some degree - Would be helpful if some games like cards, board games, dominoes, etc were made available. We brought our own and had several people stop who saw us playing asking where they could get it. - Not effective investigation system for loss/theft. Purse stolen from room first day - coffee pot in room wrong. Replacement didn’t work and no cups -finally got one that worked 3rd day - No wait service for drinks or food on beach or by pools (except when we paid for cabana and then he was over busy and could not get to us as regularly as promised.) Had to go to restaurant or bar. - No bottled water at many bars. Had to go across resort to one coffee shop or request early from butler to room. - When requested extra water from restock person, he said we had enough - training needed for wait staff for menus and customer service - drinks inconsistent - Children allowed in adult pool - Towels ran out frequently - restaurant acoustics pretty bad nothing on walls or floors to absorb sound. - not sure with what regularity they comb beach - Lots of things broken: elevator in our bldg, soap dispensers throughout resort, waffle makers, pump on soap in shower, etc - Lots of things ran out at just about every location - Ran out of towels more than once - Pickleball equipment not readily available which could have been easily solved with an equipment check out and in location. - No escaping overly loud music when there was a pool party - I pointed out every day I was there that someone had spilled something on the stairs. It was never cleaned up the whole time of our stay and it could have been a fall danger
