Currently stating at royalton st lucia and enjoying the weather and surrounding. The Aquarius bar has been underwhelming. 2 nights ago the barman appeared to be drunk. Last night at 11.15 I was told they were closing hours state 12. It also appears that communication between reception areas seem to be a struggle when trying to who to talk to with regards to any issues that you have.

The staff was fun and the resort was great. The place is clean, and the food was good as well. We also enjoyed the Friday night street party off the resort. Special shout out to Lance and Teddy, along with others like:Mc Wayne Ayani Jinette Ferna Nikita Hanner Brandon Jonny Sam Ereine Olivia Martha Sadia Miguel Ron Bubbles Vincent Erene, Nikita, ferna, mcwayne, Jeanette, Hanner, Johnny, Brendon, Sam We visited the week they launched the new app, so things were challenging at times. The addition of the app made it harder for butlers to perform there role, like helping with reservations. Due to the app still having bugs, we always had to double confirm and occasionally had issues with booking.

Beach and resort overall were nice. Food was passable at best, and most of the staff didn’t seem that interested in the guests or being helpful and the managers were nowhere to be found. You are forced to use their app for dinner reservations and it does NOT work. If you have a choice, there are better options of resorts.

Sam, Brendan, Dwight, chef Rebecca, chef Miguel, Bartender Nat, and the rest of staff at made our time at the Hideaway an unforgettable as 7 girls celebrated 25+ years of friendship. While there were many problems with the resort, these folks kept us smiling, laughing, and having a great time. Thanks for the memories.

Old hotel and concur with everyone else, it needs a lot of TLC. Far away from airport, consider water-Taxi, as the island road infrastructure system is poor and no matter what, your ride will be long. ALERT, don't fall for the Hideaway or diamond club option. It is a shared small beach, amenities and facilities for all the resort. The adults (hideaway) option and section are a joke, SAVE UR money. Starting at the check-in desk and customer service. Very slow & God forbid you need something from them. You will end up in a short, but long wait line at the lobby and poor ph. support if calling in. Room housekeeping missed 2 days out of the 7 days I was there. The first time, I was out of the room for the day and by the time I came back, housekeeping was nowhere so be seen. For clean towels, I called the front desk, no-answer, and I had to walk over to the hideaway main lobby; which they had the audacity to comment that maybe my “do not disturb sign” might had been on and the reason my room didn’t get service. (BTW: I didn’t even see the do not disturb sign, I don’t think my room had one) The second time they missed housekeeping, I didn’t even bother and just re-use my towels as I had less than 24hrs remaining on the resort. HideAway area: No monitoring, and people that didn't pay option, end up enjoying too. Saw families with kids in the adult side, see pictures. There is no peace and quiet in this area as they blast the nearby pool speakers, see pic. Little beach for such a big resort, and the beach umbrellas are on top of each other. There is a wooden walk/deck by the beach where people tend to get married etc. Lots of trash and junk storage underneath, bad image for the beautiful beach, see pic. Terrible and cheap entertainment throughout. TERRIBLE FOOD, think big,,, by TERRIBLE I mean: Horrible food quality and seasoning, and flavorless fruits. Never expected to have flavorless papayas and watermelon in this tropical island. Don’t walk into the steak restaurant with high expectations, nice menu presentation, but terrible food seasoning. Desserts everywhere were disappointing too. How can you mess up a red-velvet chocolate cake? Boxed red-velvet mix is 10x better than what they had at the buffets. The restaurant booking app was down most of the time and a JOKE TOO. Restaurant reservations were required. Try walking up to a restaurant without reservation! the staffing will say they have no room; but you see plenty of empty tables and employees on their cell phones or chitchatting with each other. Positive note: Kudos to Brian and Sari at the Hideaway beach bar. Brian catches on people’s favorites drink fast and Sari is always making sure you are comfortable and well taken care of. Sari was always happy and greed people like family. Sari made me feel welcome at all times. Kudos to El Dorado staffing too, very pleasant and accommodating. This hotel doesn't meet the high standards Marriott takes pride on. Will not visit again. Stay: December 14 - 21, 2024 room# 310, Marriott lifetime Gold Elite member and world traveler
