Great location with fall views

Large, modern hotel with great views over the falls. Excellent room, large & peaceful. Dining room needs a furniture upgrade - worn chairs etc. Foyer/reception noisy modern music - not peaceful. Only place in Canada that couldn’t accept an Apple Pay debit card on my iPhone! Strangely enough it was accepted and worked in any of the shops/cafes in the foyer. Overall pleasant enough stay.

Good location, wouldn’t come back and wouldn’t recommend

We are currently in room 1294. The room is basic, notably some chunks of dirt on the floor, the bedsheets aren’t large enough for the bed and are coming off with any movement and the room just smells. I don’t know of what, but it’s like a stale smell. I was told to text if I had any issues. There’s a light on the wall that is glaringly bright … it’s like daylight in here. We’ve tried every switch imaginable, and it’s still on. My daughter has to get up at 5:00am to get ready and it’s like high noon in here. I sent a text trying to resolve it. It’s been an hour, I’m exhausted. Every time I get up to check the switches, the bed sheets come off. This two night stay will be turning into one. Side note, we tried the buffet tonight. It was $44.95 for myself and I probably managed to eat about $3 of food. Options were limited and ‘hot foods’ were barely warm. Staff were friendly, but everything else was gross.

Beautiful hotel, but didn’t get the view/room i paid for. Disappointed.

This is a beautiful hotel, but I paid the higher price for a Falls View room, the first night they put us in a room with a very minimal falls’ view, see below, NOT at all what was advertised, i asked to change, they moved us the next day. I asked about some kind of compensation, cheaper rate, whatever, for the first night. Nothing, very disappointed in a Marriott Property. But, the hotel is lovely and the second room was terrific. Just beware….

It’s the location & views!

The front desk staff is helpful and courteous. The room are well maintained. We stayed at a Fallsview room and it’s worth the extra price. F&B was the weakest link at this hotel. We ordered room svc breakfast and everything arrived cold (eggs, bacon, waffles; even the tea & hot cocoa was jst warm). We had dinner at the Fallsview restaurant and the food quality is mediocre at best. You’re paying for the views for the price of the buffet and not the food variety or quality. Great location as it’s right by Clifton Hill and has indoor access all the way to the Crown Plaza hotel at the corner of the block. The free WeGo cards are a nice addition if you plan on exploring further than the usual walking distance attractions.

Over Priced, Poor Quality

Room was nothing special. There was a lot of noise in the hall from rowdy kids and very poor soumd insultation. The shower did not even have a door or curtain Parking was nearly $50 a night. The charge top dollar and deliver bottom dollar. Only good feature close walk to Casino Niagara.
