Gold Elite? More Like Invisible Guest. Worst Service Ever
Atanu B (Brampton, Canada) on Jun 10, 2025
Gold Elite? More Like Invisible Guest. Worst Service Ever. I've stayed at many Marriott properties around the world, and never—never—have I encountered such laughably poor guest service. I booked a room at this location and made the mistake of calling ahead to request a simple upgrade (you know, the basic perk that comes with being a Gold Elite member). The call was answered by someone named Maggi, who treated the conversation like it was a top-secret intelligence operation. I had to give my name (again), my check-in and check-out dates, the brand of my credit card, and the last digit—all just to talk about a possible upgrade. Is this a hotel or a high-security vault? And after all that? I was told the upgrade would only be available upon arrival and subject to availability—translation: "We don’t care who you are, and we’re not going to do anything until you show up." I canceled immediately. There’s a fine line between professionalism and cold indifference, and this hotel leapt over it into flat-out incompetence. Marriott should be embarrassed. This location desperately needs customer service training—or at the very least, a reminder that loyal guests aren't the enemy. Avoid unless you enjoy feeling like an unwelcome inconvenience.
expensive parking

We will probably not stay here again. Its very average ,but what is a rip off is the parking ..$53.00 a night. The rooms are needing updating ,but a nice city view Absolutely outrageous to charge so much for parking. Front desk staff were nice.
Great property and great location.

Great property with all needed amenities, including luggage services - fine fitness center, restaurants on the property, and other restaurants in walking distance. There are two towers, with meeting rooms and other facilities also present, and you can walk between the two towers indoors via a concourse. It is also walking distance from a TD bank with ATM if needed.
Consider a stay at the Wall Center when in Vancouver

Initially, I was a bit annoyed that this hotel did not have our keys ready upon arrival after our tour from a cruise ship, but the staff here won me over. They are really nice folks and did everything in their power to make sure we got a room as soon as possible. They offered us a free glass of wine or a coffee while we waited. The room assigned to us was very nice with an amazing view. Nice people, nice hotel, great location, what more can you want? This hotel is on our list of return to places when we return to Vancouver.
Twinkle is Amazing!

Service was great and the highlights of our stay had to be in the platinum lounge. Twinkle is awesome! She was very helpful and far exceeded service excellence. She was kind and always gave a warm welcome. Look forward to heading over to the lounge every morning due to her! :)
