Great Hotel

jerrythetraveler (Orlando) on Jul 18, 2024

The hotel is a little disjointed, as there are two towers that are really not attached and as a result there are two different check ins and you have to walk to one of them or the other for the Concierge, valet or lounges, but the property and the staff are great. The location is good and the valet, bell staff and front desk were awesome. The restaurant and bar was slow and the food was nothing to write home about, but the lounge was wonderful and so was that staff too.

Uncleaned room

890yama on Jul 14, 2024

The room I was given was not cleaned. When I went back to the reception and told them about it, the man told me to wait in the restaurant for about 15-20 minutes while he cleaned the room. However, after waiting for more than 30 minutes with no response, I went back to the reception desk to ask, and was told that the cleaning staff had already left for the day, so all I could do was throw away the trash in the trash can. The man offered no apology for making me wait and tried to make me stay in the dirty room. A female staff member then came and arranged for us to have a new room, but it was the first time I had ever been treated so badly. Even though guests pay a high price, they have to stay in dirty rooms. Is that the hotel's service spirit? Request for improvement in customer service.

great service

wunderlast (Seattle, Washington) on Jul 10, 2024

To be honest, I was expecting a rather basic experience, but this hotel really impressed me-- mostly due to the amazing customer service. I had initially just booked one night, and ended up booking a second one, in a different room category at the last minute. At check in, the front desk agent very kindly consolidated our bookings so that we didn't have to change room, and upgraded us (due to our platinum status). We were in a corner junior room and it had really beautiful views of the city. We were a floor above the Marriott lounge, and our status gave us access to it. Breakfast options weren't particularly exciting, but I did enjoy the corn muffins a lot, and it was nice to be able to pop in whenever for a cookie or coffee. Location wise, it was convenient to walk around. Lots of shopping and restaurants nearby. There is a garage for parking (at a cost-- unless your room included parking like ours did), or if you could valet. There was a snafu where we received a ticket for parking in the garage, but the valet guys helped us fix it quickly.

Nice place to stay

10mathieun on Jul 09, 2024

This Sheraton in the heart of Vancouver was our home for two nights throughout the weekend. The rooms were quite cozy and roomy. Even if the carpet and bathroom are a little worn out, the furnishings, seats, water, and coffee maker are all spotless. Cleaning was good. We had access to the executive floor. The offering for the night and breakfast were good. The team was considerate to our needs. We also got a room on the 27th floor with fantastic city views. People who have left reviews have mentioned hearing ambulance noises. Perhaps I was lucky, but it wasn't a problem at all.

Good hotel in central Vancouver

bristolreviewer (Bristol, England) on Jul 09, 2024

We had three nights in this well appointed Sheraton in the centre of Vancouver. Rooms were spacious and very comfortable, with good seating, fridge, water and coffee machine. Housekeeping can be quite late in the day. Bathroom had good sized walk in shower. Breakfast buffet was fairly limited for the price, with omelettes charged extra, but we had an excellent breakfast at The Templeton on Granville St (expect to queue) and there are plenty of other nearby options (especially on Granville Island). We had a 20th floor room with great views of the city too.
