Great choice for airport stays

I stayed in this property for the first time while attending an event in the airport area. The hotel is fairly new, part of a new development in the Richmond area. It is probably the second-closest hotel to the airport. It literally took 3 minutes from the terminal. The common areas are very modern with good spaces to sit. The in-site restaurant is a bit small but it never felt crowded. Check in and check out were a breeze. The rooms are excellent with a great bed and pillows. Bathroom is modern and it has both a shower and a bathtub. Good noise control. I could see planes landing almost across the street without hearing them! Two minor things to be aware of but not enough to take off points: the shuttle only runs until 9:30 PM. Vancouver has many late flights and this really is not a great cutoff time for this kind of service. The second is that the hotel still keep the covid-era policy of no cleaning rooms unless requested. It was convenient that it was offered to me at check in but this is the one thing many hotels have not ridden off from Covid times and it is plain annoying.

Excellent Meeting Venue/Excellent Service

Awesome stay!!!

Stayed for business. Great hotel and experience. Got upgraded to a corner room with a nice view of the river. Super convenient to the airport and businesses in Richmond. Great staff and excellent breakfast. Highly recommended if you plan to stay in Richmond vs downtown Vancouver.

Nice airport area hotel but limited dining options

This is my second stay in the last 10 years, both for business. Room was spacious and comfortable, but carpets had a slight musty smell that I didn't experience on my last stay. New condos have sprung up all around this hotel, but what has not changed is limited dining options nearby within walking distance. There is a small restaurant within the hotel which is fine, but it's not open late and options are limited. Overall it remains a nice hotel worth consideration when staying near the airport, but the limited food options has been a key reason for only my second stay as I'm usually in the Vancouver area a few times a year.

What to expect now that COVID is over???

Hotel is modern and clean and a great location. It is walking distance to the sky train, about 7 minutes. Staff are friendly. Room was clean and included two bottles of water. Parking is $21 per night which is reasonable. I am a platinum member but unfortunately the platinum lounge is still closed. They do give you free breakfast in the restaurant or room service breakfast and you can order off the menu. The downfall is that they said they offer appies in the evening in the restaurant from 5-8 to make up for the lounge closure. When we went to order appies we were told they had one and it was a seafood salad. I don’t eat seafood. They allowed me to pick one item off the starter menu. Not great as if the Lounge was open I could grab coffee, juice , pop and snacks 24/7 and could also have the option of several appetizers. It was better than nothing but I am hoping they get the lounges open soon as that is one reason I stay at these hotels. They offer buffet for functions so why can’t they offer it for the lounge. It’s starting to look like it’s to save money not because of COVID. They also put out fresh cookies in the lobby for all to touch and take so why not the buffer in the platinum lounge?? Also my upgrade wasn’t really an upgrade that I could see. Basic room but I had a view of the water so that might have been the upgrade. I didn’t care as we weren’t really in the room and it was a nice clean room. I would definitely stay again and recommend it.
