An amazing place! Friendly staff 10/10, room and balcony were beautiful, lots of variations of drinks, I do recommend upgrading your room to the level where you have a private bar on your floor! Rooms were very clean and maids were amazing. Pompa was an amazing entertainer, Caro was the best dancer, bartenders outside were amazing. Looking forward to comming back!

Had a wonderful 11 days at Melia Varadero! The food was good. So was the room. The ocean views from the patio were amazing. The staff were excellent! I would like to highlight Inailyn in the restaurants, Suri in the Italian restaurant, Benita who took care of my room, and many others who were all excellent! The hotel was beautiful and well maintained. We will return again next year!!!

This stay has been a textbook example of how poor management destroys a hotel experience. Several members of the staff were consistently rude, dismissive, and unprofessional. Basic interactions felt unnecessarily difficult, as if guests were an inconvenience rather than the reason the hotel exists. After a while, it becomes exhausting to deal with attitude instead of hospitality. What is even more concerning is the complete absence of visible management. There was no sense of leadership, supervision, or accountability anywhere. For a hotel carrying the Meliá name, this level of operational neglect is simply unacceptable. Collecting money while failing to manage staff or guest experience is not hospitality, it is negligence.

Beautiful resort and beautiful beach with crystal clear water. We stayed in the level with a gorgeous ocean and resort view. The level lounge was a great place to stop in for a cappuccino, cocktail or light snack. Food was great in both the a la carte’s and the buffet, and often preferred the buffet. Staff at this resort are outstanding and they are the ones that really made the trip so incredible. Huge shout out to two very special employees who really stood out for us were Claudia, a waitress in the main lobby bar and Yusleidys, our daily housekeeper. Both these ladies worked so very hard, were very good at their jobs and always greeted us with a warm smile & kind words. . It was such a pleasure seeing them daily and they really made our stay memorable! We really hope to see them both when we return.
