We travelled with 2 kids - age 2 and 6 Beach is gorgeous, location is perfect. We stayed in the regular building not royal or reserve and we were steps away from the beach and buffet. The room was spacious but needs upgrades desperately..things are falling apart Pools are huge and great Food is simple but lots of options .the problem is that it is the same options everyday. The international a la carte was the best in our opinion. Snack bar has different options every day..our kids ate there often. Staff is friendly and willing to help. We didnt realize there was additional activities at the reserve that anyone can attend so more information would be nice. My little ones loved the mini disco. Weve been to cuba before and yes its obvious there are shortages esp with food and drink. We went to the Dolphin show just 5 mins away from the resort- it was great.

I spent a week with friends at Paradisus Varadero and we had an amazing vacation. Excellent service and extremely friendly people. The tennis coach Miguel is awesome, very knowledgeable and super fun. He can teach to any level and is happy to just play for fun or help develop skills. If you are a tennis player you may want to bring your own racket and some balls. (With the ongoing embargo and the pandemic, Cuba continues to struggle with supplies and anything you want to leave there would be greatly appreciated ??)

Our Wedding took place here January 23, 2023. This was the nicest trip we have ever had. The wedding planner from the resort named Driatne was unbelievable. She made our day so special. She is amazing at what she does. She did everything for us. We didn’t have to worry about a thing. It was so perfect it felt like a fairy tale dream wedding. She made this trip worth every penny we spent. She arranged the photographer that was absolutely amazing. She booked our reservations at the restaurants, she booked my hair appointment, massage. And she decorated everything for our day. I didn’t have to do a single thing. She was on top of everything. This is by far the best resort in Cuba. You are right on the beach. Everything close, not a lot of walking to get to something. There is a married couple that works the pool bar, they were the best!! Jorge is amazing activity guy. The waitress/waiters worked so hard to make sure we were all happy. And let me tell you the maids did an excellent job. Our maid was amazing. She left me a hand written letter that made me leave with a smile. Rooms were super clean. They really go above and beyond for everyone. Night life at the resort - shows, then a disco. If you want the perfect worry free Wedding with family and friends, then this is the place to go. The Wedding planner makes this happen!!! Amazing resort to travel with friends or family. I would highly recommend it. This is my 4th trip to Varadero and this resort is by far the best yet. You can’t get a better location then this one!!!

Don’t listen to the bad reviews. This place is truly beautiful. I’ve seen other hotels and this one is by far the prettiest. Get the regular rooms it’s the best deal as the rooms are big and nice and it’s closest to the lobby and buffet and most of the restaurants. The royal section is too quiet and empty for my liking and need to be driven to by carts. That just sounds annoying lol anytime you want to go anywhere from the royal or reserve section you have to either walk really far or get carted around. The regular area was definitely the best location as it wasn’t busy but still close to everything and have the most beautiful beach near it. Also the regular section people can go eat at the reserve section buffet if they want. Only difference is that the regular section buffet is more open so you can see the oceans and birds will be there and reserve section buffet is inside. The food is great too. I don’t understand the Cuba doesn’t have good food thing lol the buffet is huge and you will definitely find something if not multiple things you like. The best restaurant is International or Vento menu as well. People said Sakura (Japanese) one was the best but I disagree…. It’s mostly just fried rice. The beef steak is the best for Vento menu. The snack bar is amazinggg you can get tuna,fish,chicken,pork, burgers, hotdog, pizza, fries, plantain chips and much more. I will say though bring your preferred sauces as they only have ketchup and mustard. I brought a bunch of the spicy habanero sauce from McDonald’s and it made everything taste sooo muchhh better. Sauce is all you need. Also bring toilet paper as outside of the resort the bathrooms are gross and have no toilet paper or toilet seats… the resort bathrooms are good though. Also you can snorkel for free yourself but the snorkel dude doesn’t tell you about it unless you ask to borrow the snorkel. He will try to sell you a catamaran to snorkel in the middle of the ocean for $25. Just take snorkel for free and go swimming. Also stock up on water lol tip the water guy if you see him stocking ur water. If you run out you have to harass the bartenders to give u water and they get annoyed and don’t want to give it. Everyone is super sweeet! My faveee people was the gardener near the buffet that makes hats, the snack bar lady, the excursion lady is also very sweet and important to keep her close if you want to go on excursions. I don’t recommend the catamaran excursion. They just take u to a random island and give you bad food bad lobster. Resort food is better. I RECOMMEND THE JEEP SAFARI TOUR! you can do sooo much! Snorkeling, go to cave Saturno and swim there, horse riding, speed boating, scuba diving! The food is really good for that tour too! Again this resort is A DREAAMM. 100000/10 Will definitely miss it and cry about not being there. I definitely recommend it a lot! MOSTLY THE REGULAR SECTION. It’s the most worth it. Don’t bother with reserve or royal. Nothing special down there I promise. LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS RESORT!!

My mother and I stayed at Paradisus for 10 days . We where pleasantly surprised that the food was as good as it was considering what we always hear. But bring your own hot sauce or favourite condiment . The following items I suggest to bring with you . Small coffee press . There is only a kettle in your room if you request it . I don’t know about you but I need coffee first thing in the morning. They lack toilet paper so bring some . Vinegar or lemon for your salad , great oils but no vinegar. Peanut butter if you like it. We stay in a junior suite basic room right on the beach 3212 not ocean front but the other side . Really nice and quite and close to everything and the beach at this end is the best . Take a taxi to varadero and go to the restaurant 60 then walk to the Beatles bar . Great night out . Staff was helpful , food good , beach fantastic. I have a soft spot for Cuba . Love the nice people.
