North Star Adventures is 100 per cent Indigenous owned and operated, employing Indigenous Peoples and partnering with Indigenous communities across the NWT. Having lived, played and worked across Yellowknife and the North for over 50,000 years, their guides take pride in showcasing their home and all it has to offer, year-round.
In the winter season, spanning December 1 all the way to April 20, North Star Adventures makes Aurora viewing dreams come true through small, personal Aurora Hunt tour experiences. Each night of the tour is different, as guides use their experience with the area and weather patterns to “hunt” the Aurora while educating on the science behind it, identifying the stars and the Milky Way, and seeing wildlife while driving from location to location.
In the summer season, North Star Adventures showcases the land of the Midnight Sun, when the Northwest Territories see up to 24 hours of daylight. Home to the Mackenzie River, the longest river in Canada, and the world-famous Nahanni National Park, there are plenty of opportunities for both unique day tours and multi-day adventures like a Dehcho Cultural Experience.
