Never Ever Again

Our room was beautiful Master Suite overlooking the ocean with a wrap around deck. The Bell Captains were great and many spoke english and although there were some english speaking front desk and restraurants it was at a minimal but the ones that did were awsome. We also felt the all inclusive was a big rip off - there was not a restraurant you could order off a menu that was pre-cooked, the snack bar was a joke - room service....non existant, wine selection was awful. We ordered a bucket of beer pool side and were informed no buckets only 4 oz clear plastic glasses with one kind of beer - light or dark, by the time it arrived you could have one sip and it was warm. There was no wine list to be had and when you finished your meal and asked to take your dessert to the room, you were not allowed. We ate in 8 days 3 times for dinner, once lunch & breakfast ALL INCLUSIVE-I THINK NOT. We went outside the hotel and had wonderful meals. Not the hotels fault, but the other guests were rude and we felt because we were americans they could be pushy. Now lets talk about WI-FI, yes they have it for 75 pesos a day you had to use it in the hot humid lobby and don't let your battery run low as there wasn't an outlet to be had. If you wanted to relax in your room unless you spoke espanol out of 100 channels, there was one in english for about 2 hours a day and never at the same time. Our bed was made but oh they forgot new coffee cups and pods, no washcloths, hand towels or bathmats. On a positive note - the entertainment in the evening was lovely if you love to dance and didn't care if you understood one word. My husband and I travel throughout mexico and will continue to do so, but never here again, we just wanted to try something different to celebrate our anniversary and a monumental birthday. All that said, we still love mexico and we make the best of whatever our situation is.
Excellent service and Best Buffet

We absolutely loved this place. It is very low key, just what we needed on a nice beach where you will mostly find local families. Very fun. The service in this hotel was outstanding. Everyone was so generous and willing to help with anything and everything. That includes the girls in the spa. Normally we do not care much about buffet food, however, in this resort we truly enjoyed all of the buffet food. It was the best buffet food we have ever had anywhere. Each night a different theme was served , it was all very well prepared and super fresh. The waitstaff was very attentive and accomodating. This resort caters to local people and so the food was not "americanized" and neither was the coffee. The beach is very nice and the building is clean and beautiful. WiFI only in the lobby, so for you who need to work, might not be the best place, for those of you who want a vacation, its perfect. We will return to this resort.
Good Option in Manzanillo
Reviewed by Jazzytravel(Los Angeles, California) on Jul 01, 2019
I spent four nights at this hotel. I was pleased with the improvement. The rooms were recently remodeled and had comfortable beds. Our room was facing the beach with a balcony so that was a plus. This hotel caters to families with small children so the pool area is packed most of the time. Despite this, we didn't have a problem finding a place to sit and relax. Things to improve are: more variety in food and entertainment for adults. They have a bar near the lobby but they only had TVs on during the week. It would have been nicer to have some live music or karaoke.
Never Again
Reviewed by LIZ A(Bakersfield, California) on Apr 12, 2019
I usually never like to complain about things while traveling. I like to travel and I am aware that within my vacation not everything will be perfect, but this hotel took the win. I arrived around 11 am so I knew my room wouldn't be ready until 3pm. I was okay with that. But the room wasn't ready until 3:40 (again that's okay). Next day we go have breakfast and there is a piece of hair in the refried beans (again I let it slide because we are all human). The worst was this, the next day we go to their lunch and my husband was eating a piece of pizza and there was a piece of GLASS! And I mean he spitted it out thinking it was a rock but nope it was GLASS! What, how? By now I was really upset. I would never go back. Also the pool bar closes at 7pm and if you want more you have to go all the way to the top level of the hotel for your drinks.
Too large for the pool
Reviewed by Zooroo70(Mexico City, Mexico) on Dec 31, 2018
OK I’ll start with the good, the room was nice the beds were very comfortable, pillows were OK. What could be better well the hotel is very large however the pool is very small. The sand was a bit uncomfortable compared to other beaches. The food was OK why it’s OK for the first day, second day same food, Thursday same food, fourth day same food. Enough said. To go to the nicer restaurants well you have to make a reservation and unfortunately it gets filled up pretty quickly. We just chose to go out and have dinner after the second night. However I will say that the staff was so polite and I really did not feel uncomfortable in anyway.
