This is my fourth time coming back to this resort and the reason I keep coming back is because of the entertainment staff. They work so hard to ensure everyone feels included and enjoys their stay. The have become like family to me at this point. Definitely coming back again.

I wasn't expecting this at all reading the previous reviews, but luckily for us there wasn't any shortages. Better than the food was the service in all the areas especially the entertainers and the pool guys! Damir, Juan, Dayton, Javier and Titi made sure we always felt at home.The resort also has tennis and pickleball facilities! I can't wait to be back.

We just left Barcelo Solymar yesterday and miss it already. Our group of 6 friends stayed from April 14 to 28 and had such a great time. The staff treated us like family and were always so friendly and had such big smiles. The resort was so clean...lobby, bathrooms and our rooms. I know I can't mention everyone but would like to mention those that we saw almost every day. While we were waiting to check in on the day we arrived, we took the opportunity to tour this beautiful resort. We also met alot of the very friendly efficient staff including Yusmila who was very helpful and always had a big smile and greetings daily. Thank you Ayleen Suarez for your excellent client service. Our room was perfect and kept spotless and stocked with necessities by Virginia. The beach was beautiful and we received wonderful service from Virinia and Abraham...you happily walk alot of miles keeping guests provided with beverages. The pool was awesome -fun times- loved playing the daily Bingo. Awesome bartenders there....Lala and Argenis.....they are kept hopping but I don't think they ever lose those big smiles. We enjoyed our morning, and sometimes evening, coffee and cappuccinos as well as other drinks various times of the day in the lobby bar. Thank you Jorge, Anna and Ketty. I certainly never went hungry. Enjoyed a few a la cartes as well as all our meals in the buffet. Thank you Rafael for the omelets and Daniel for the spaghetti. We had wonderful service from Marco, Yoli, German, Betsy, Jose and all the servers we encountered. We had the best of both worlds...beautiful resort but within walking distance of the village of Varadero. Thank you to all and we hope to see you all again next year

Keeping in mind the shortages that are out of their control, Cuba is still a favorite destination for us. Our stay at Barcelo Solymar was fantastic. We had a great time, staff, especially Ayleen, are wonderful, room was spotless and new mattress and pillows were incredibly comfortable. Food was good even with the shortages as we brought condiments and snacks. Of course the beach is second to none and Solymar side pool was great. Go with an open mind and you will love this hotel that is walking distance to all of your favorite spots in town ????. This was our 12th time in Cuba and there will be a 13th and more times.....

6 of us just returned last night after a 2 week stay at Barcelo Solymar. It was a perfect vacation. Been to Cuba many times, this resort is definitely one of our favourites! Everything was sparkling clean, our room was cleaned every day, we always had water, toilet paper, clean bath towels and clean beach towels! The food was very good, repetitive at times but always lots of choices, and prepared perfectly! We all gained a few pounds ?? The staff at this resort are what make the stay even better. We met so many beautiful workers I can’t name them all! They were so friendly, always smiling and going out of their way to make sure you had a wonderful time! The pool and beach were amazing, great entertainment team as well! Ayleen Suarez we appreciate you so much! We are already planning our return to this beautiful resort next year! ?? ??
