Hidden Gem!

Jessica K on Apr 30, 2024

Hidden Gem! Our multi-generational family enjoyed a fabulous vacation at the Westin in Cape Coral! We had a beautiful, spacious suite overlooking the marina where we could see dolphins from our screened in balcony. A full kitchen and laundry in the room made it feel like a condo with hotel amenities. Morning yoga classes with Mindy, the dolphin tours and bicycles for guests as well as 3 pools were all highlights! When we checked out, we accidently left one of our bags behind, but Sonja went above and beyond to make sure we received it after we got home. Thank you all!

Weekend in Cape Coral

837lylek (Hallandale Beach, Florida) on Apr 29, 2024

Just returned from a wonderful weekend at this great Resort. First time at the Westin. The room was a Suite. Very larger with kitchen etc. Had a balcony and harbor view. Did not use the pool or eat in the Restaurant. Very impressed. Will definitely be back.

Thank you to Anna Marie and Piper for Excellent Customer Service and for a Fantastic Resort Stay!

barbaraaM7669JM (Dallas, Texas) on Apr 10, 2024

I am writing to let Marriott/Westin management know how much I appreciate the outstanding customer service that Anna Marie and Piper provided. They are always attentive, helpful, and go out of their way to ensure we had an excellent stay. Their kind gestures and hospitality have exceeded my expectations. We truly feel like guests and not just a regular customer so hats off to your team. As a first time guest here and a Bonvoy Platinum member, I was blown away by the beautiful grounds, stunning views, and incredible rooms. As the saying goes, you only have 1 chance to make a good 1st impression. Anna Marie and Piper knocked it out of the park! Piper helped before we arrived by answering questions about the hotel and the area which confirmed my desire to book here which I am so glad we did! Piper even called me on her day off to discuss my check-in which impressed us. My husband and I arrived late at night for check-in and it was a pleasure to be welcomed by Anna Marie. She worked her magic and upgraded our room to a Suite with an incredible view and space for us to work in! She's been at the resort since it opened and they are very lucky to have her representing this property. Based on Piper's help before I arrived and Anna Marie's help when I arrived, this inspired us to extend our stay and enjoy the property. Their excellent customer service along with a beautiful suite, stunning views, wonderful food, and fabulous location led to us staying here for 11 nights.. Please let them know as well as the other staff that their efforts do not go unnoticed. Thank you once again for hiring such excellent staff/ I look forward to seeing and interacting with them during my extended stay.

Nauti Mermaid Restaurant

Royce H (Cape Coral, Florida) on Apr 09, 2024

Nauti Mermaid Restaurant Cubano sandwich? Hardly any meat Shrimp sandwich? Hardly any shrimp. Should be called cole slaw and salad sandwiches. Oh, wine? Small plastic glasses. About 1/2 usual pour at full price. Not usual Westin standards.

Very Good Hotel, So-So Location

mattpJ9574SU (Petoskey, Michigan) on Mar 30, 2024

We had a very nice stay. Nice resort hotel with several restaurants in walking distance. We had a regular room with 2 queen beds. There was plenty of space for the 3 of us without feeling cramped. Nice screened in balcony (ours overlooked the back of the river, not the marina, but still a nice view - especially of sunrise). Large bathroom (but not a lot of counter space). Nice little counter in the hallway (wet bar area) with a good sized hotel fridge, but no microwave in the room. Comfortable beds with 4 pillows each (no fighting over who gets 2 pillows & who gets 1). The ceiling fan & a/c did a great job keeping the room a comfortable temperature. Good restaurants on site & just off the property. The pool at the main building isn’t very big, with limited seating around the deck & it fills up quickly. It does have a small bar & is next to the larger outside bar. There are 2 more pools a short walk away at the fitness center that have more deck space & chairs (but no bar/drinks/food & you have to carry towels over to it). The biggest problem is the location. If you are planning on using the hotel as your “jumping off point) & going to Sanibel Island (23 miles) or Fort Myers Beach (17 miles) be prepared to have at least a 45 minute drive (if you’re lucky) with it likely being somewhere between 1 & 1 1/2 hours to get there (& then back) due to traffic (having to cross bridges & slow speed zones) & construction. There isn’t a beach on site, so if you’re looking for the convenience of in & out of the hotel to the beach, this isn’t the place, but if you’re looking for a nice hotel that has a few decent walkable restaurants & good rooms to be your “base” & are ok with driving to get to the beach, this was a very nice hotel.
