Stayed at the Manteo overnight before catching a flight the next morning. We went to bed at 10 pm for a good sleep. Because it is a dog friendly hotel, there was a dog in the room next to us that barked constantly until past 2 am and again at 4 am. I called front desk twice and they said they called the unit, but no one answered. I suspect the occupants went out on the town and the dog was upset. The walls seemed very thin as the barking was very loud and disturbing. On top of it, the pillows were hard and uncomfortable and light streamed through the curtains (not completely blackout), all making the worst sleep over. I also do not like the sink and vanity in the actual bedroom as anyone using the sink wakes up everyone else. I understand that the staff couldn't do anything about the dog in a dog friendly hotel and the hotel refunded me the resort fee of $30 as compensation, but I feel there should have been more compensation considering I could have had a better sleep in my vehicle! Too many loud kids and pets for me to return.

Natasha M from the resort gave 5 star incredible service! She was so pleasant on the phone and so helpful! Works fast and efficient and really had the customers best interest at heart when it came to fees/rooms and booking overall. She is an absolute gem and even on a short phone call I could tell she is an incredible asset to any team and Manteo is so lucky to have her! I hope any future customers get to deal with her when they call in!

The service at the Manteo was outstanding. But I have to give the biggest shout out to Ashley Powell. She was a force and truly made my life so much easier by being there. We were organizers for the BC Cann@bis Summit April 21-23 and she helped me tremendously, and had such a cool head when I was about to loose mine. It would be an honour to work with Ashley in the future, and I truly believe she deserves a promotion!!!!!! Thanks Ashley and all the great staff who helped during our awards ceremony/gala. Cheers.

We went here for our anniversary and it was the most incredible experience. The room and the service was 100%. We had dinner at the on-site restaurant and it was also amazing. Thank you for making our time so exceptional.

Iconic Lake Front Hotel for our (5) night stay. 2nd floor room with balcony overlooking patio and marina. Bed was just comfortable enough to get a good sleep. Staff were all very friendly and outgoing. Special mention to REILLY at front desk that made you feel welcome everyone you arrived. I suspect it was him that arranged for chocolate dipped strawberries and a piece of cake for our anniversary and my wife’s Birthday. Thank you. RUSSELL in housekeeping who seen me changing a flat tire and came to help. Above and beyond, Thank you!! Brunch was enjoyable with a good selection. Take out Coffee available at the front desk or restaurant in the morning. Hiking & cycling path along a river was close by. A few problems with our key card programming but it can happen anywhere. All staff were well trained and friendly. Thanks for making our stay special.
